Anaheim, October 17th
So are all the Tier 1 seats completely gone at this point? I had the opportunity a day or two ago to buy a Tier 1 seat, Row C, Seat 15, but passed, because I thought I could find a better one. Never did. :( Anyway advice? I've never seen Lindsey before and I would LOVE to be able to go (hopefully for a reasonable price; a.k.a. not $500!)

Hope you get your ticket! |
I know, I should have snapped them up when I had the chance. :( I guess I was worried about being too far to one side. But now that I think about it, I think they'll be great seats. Well, live and let learn, I guess. I'm not very experienced with the world of buying concert tickets, as you can probably tell. Enjoy the concert! :)

I am quite happy to dash down to the side of the stage - it's usually less crowded than in the middle. He moves about from side to side anyhow! :D |
I put this on the other thread, but I want to put it here as well: I'm looking for a Tier 1 ticket to the October 17th Anaheim show. If you or someone you know is looking to get rid of an extra ticket, please let me know! I will buy it!!! Thank you! :)

Seating chart has been changed for the show.
The venue says: "the Artist has changed their preference for the seating configuration for this show. This show will no longer be set as a dinner show; the show will now be a Theatre-style seating configuration." They are going to do their best to ensure that the new seating arrangement gives people seats comparable to what they had. Michele |
I don't think that the new seating will effect those of us in Tier 1 but the remainder of the house will probably be happier since they won't have to pop for dinner and will have a better view of the stage.
It would be interesting to hear from those fans who did purchase dinner seats as to what type of seats they were given. Carol-Lynn SoCalGal:] |
Ooops I spoke to soon. Just pulled up the seating chart and I see that Tier 2 starts with Row E and I think it was in Tier 1 before. Anyone remember?
Carol-Lynn SoCalGal |
i got Tier 1 Row B
is that ok even with the new seating chart? |
I have a ticket for this show that I am going to be selling. It is 3rd row center and I only want face value which was like $90.00 with fees.
|
OMG-I just checked my ticket and I am in Row E which is now Tier 2 and I no longer have an inside aisle seat so it looks like I'll be calling them tomorrow to see what they are going to do about Tier 1 now Tier 2 Row E ticket holders after all.
The only good thing is, I bought the ticket from the venue and not TM so if they can't give me a seat in Tier 1 I'll probably be able to get a refund on my ticket if I decide I don't like my new seat and I have a sinking feeling I won't. Thanks for the heads up. I have no intention of going if I can't be in Tier 1-oh well at least I have Royce Hall and McCallum. I have to work on the 18th so maybe it's a good thing I don't go. Hey David! As you already know I'm right behind you in Tier 1 Row C. I'm thinking our seats won't have changed at all as they are in normal rows anyway (hope I'm right)!!! :wavey: |
:wavey:The only difference for Tier 1 seems to be that they might add seats to a row and if you have an aisle seat you might be one over in either direction.
I'll give them a call sometime today and let everyone know. Thank God I checked my ticket yesterday :blob1:I would have been quite upset at the venue to learn I got booted out of Tier 1 and no longer have an inside aisle seat and that's no good because then I wouldn't have enjoyed the show. They do not let Tier 2 people to the stage and that's where all the fun is. Carol-Lynn SoCalGal |

Anyway the manager does not come into until 4:00 p.m. His name is Russ. I told the ticketing agent at the Grove that there are currently 56 people in Row E that may or may not (like me) be happy with the fact that we are in Tier 2 (which the Grove does not allow to go to the stage-ever.) I also told her that my inside aisle seat is now five seats to the left in row E. In effect my new seat is not conmensurate with my old seat and if they can't get a conmensurate seat in Tier 1 then I want a full refund irregardless of why they changed the seating chart. I also told her there were at least 55 other people in Row E who might be just as unhappy as me and they better be prepared for some negative feedback the night of if they don't clear things up before-hand. As for the fact that there are more seats in rows A-D she could not confirm that but if you check the chart (A then D) you will that row one has three more seats and the center aisle seats are not the same. Hopefully, I can get a hold of Russ this afternoon to see what they can do. The sad thing is they never told me about the change and that's not right. Here is their number in case you or others so affected on this board want to check on where you seats may or may not be. (714) 712-2700 I also told that secondary ticket brokers are advertising Row E as Tier 1 tixs and they will not be pleased to learn they may have sold a Tier 2 tix as Tier 1 either. Carol-Lynn SoCalGal |
Okay here is the low-down.
Just got off the phone with Russ. There is going to be two row Es-one in Tier 1 and one in Tier 2. So long story short don't pay any attention to the seating chart on TM if you bought a seat in Tier 1. He's using a hybrid chart combining both A and D since they didn't have one to accommodate the last minute change requested by Lindsey. The important thing is that every seat in Tier 1 will remain the same! So not to worry anyone-including yours truly. Thank God! Now I can relax. Good thing I had to work all day and had no time to really worry. So let the count down begin for Anaheim-it's on!:blob2: Carol-Lynn SoCalGal:nod: |
I have one ticket in Tier 1 Row C for this show. I just want what I paid for it. Please PM me if interested. Thanks.

@Gigi3078 @blackxlistx omg beezy!!! I'm going to be shooting Lindsey Buckingham (yes from fleetwoodmac) on monday!! :D I know..you and spud are proud
@ellellew that's so cool! what is the shoot for? RT @Gigi3078 @blackxlistx omg beezy!!! I'm going to be shooting Lindsey Buckingham on monday!! @Gigi3078 @ellellew I'm a rock photographer so I'm shooting his show at the Grove for the music website @ellenwoodEP check out the site!! :) http://www.ellenwood-ep.com/ |
To those photogs who will be shooting the Grove show Monday night-please respect the audience and don't block our view and hog the stage blocking our access-not that the Grove allows this. The fact is I can't recall any photogs at any of the shows that I've been to at the Grove or they were so inconspicuous I didn't even know they were there.
This summer at an REO/Rick Springfield show at the Greek Theater in L.A. a group of Photogs, one of whom brought their teenage daughter who kept sitting in other people's seats throughout Rick Springfield's set, kept blocking the aisles and getting in our way at the stage until finally the REO's manager jumped into the Pit and threw them out. One more day! :blob2: What an October this has been. Three Lindsey shows in five days. Reminds me of another October four years ago when the Eagles opened the Nokia Theater here in downtown LA. I went to six shows in two weeks.

Arrived in Anaheim late last night after a long long (and sometimes bumpy) flight, then couldn't sleep at all, and was awake at 5 am this morning completely jeglagged and with big black circles under my tired eyes. Bloody well hope I don't look as bad as this tomorrow evening!!!:shocked::eek: |

Picked up tickets from box office this morning! :blob1::]:blob1:
Hung around the back for a while and watched the roadies unload the equipment truck. There were a couple of tour buses parked alongside but no sign of any life on them! :distress: Roll on tonight! :D |
Have a great time tonight everyone!! :D

Well, it's really last minute, but it looks like I'm going after all. So, if you see this guy (which would be me) standing around looking completely lost, come up & say "hi".

Just back at hotel after the show and it was STUPENDOUS!!!!!!!
Over far too quickly. OK - so I was right at the stage and I GOT QUITE A BIT OF HIS SWEAT!!! :blob1: Didn't manage to touch flesh though, only his jeans and shoes. But I'm very happy with the sweat!:lol: Loads of interaction with Brett and towards end of show he came and gave me his pick!!!!!!! Result!!!!!! :] Never going to sleep tonight at all!!! By the way, did I say the show was AWESOME?????? Worth every one of the almost 6000 miles I had to fly to see him. Roll on Manchester and then M&G in Leeds. Do I sound a little hyper???:p:o |
^So great that you came so far!
I just back home. It was a great show. I think he just uses that introduction for NGBA so that when he arrives at the familiar start he can appreciate the ripple of sudden recognition and delight that flows through the audience. He gets a little smile then, as if to say, "I've teased you." Before Big Love when he says how much time has passed he adds, "I was just talking about that with someone backstage. Those were crazy times. But we're still here. That's the thing. we're still here." Hmmm. I wonder who he was talking about that with backstage. Before In Our Own Time, he says that the time opened up and he used it. "It was either that or play golf. Of course, golf might not have been a bad idea, now that I think about it." I wonder if Lindsey has ever played golf. As I looked at him sawing up and down with his guitar, facing Brett across the keyboard that divided them, I got a little nostalgic, thinking of a certain accordian player he used to do that with. After the song ended Lindsey said, to the cheering crowd: "This is why we do this. People like you." It was for SHN that the dam broke and people ran to the stage. After that, a portion of the crowd remained standing for the rest of the night. When he introduced the band, someone yelled out something as he got to Neale. They must have said they wanted Neale to sing, because Lindsey turned to Heywood and asked if he wanted to sing something. Neale demurred. "Later." Lindsey playfully strummed a few notes for Neale the Crooner. When he introduced Brett, he said putting their set together was more academic and "brainy" than it was doing it for Fleetwood Mac. Yeah, I guess in the sense that FM has more hit songs and sequence doesn't matter as much as far as keeping the momentum going. When more songs are more familiar to the audience, you have to think harder about keeping them engaged. I'm not sure braininess is required, but . . . When Brett introduces "an American treasure, Lindsey Buckingham" I suddenly realize I'm at the wrong concert. That was certainly a downer. Brett says that big machine or small machine, we'll take Lindsey any size we can get him and I'd definitely say that's true. Michele |
:blob2:Anaheim fans came to party last night. DavidMN and I led the stage rush early on from our FRONT ROW seats and from them on it was CRAZY!:blob1: Lindsey loved it. No one sat down for the rest of the night and we were ten deep at the stage. AMAZING! DavidMn said it was the craziest show since Chicago! We got sweated-over twice, a big Hi from Brett and David even got a shout out from Lindsey as he did his Edge-Walk. Have fun in Turlock tonight David!
Anyway, many thanks to the two fans who were a no-show Front Row Center! DavidMn and I ran into each other before the show and he noticed the two empty seats in the front row and, although we were not sitting together, we decided that if those two front row center seats were not filled by the time the band took the stage, we'd upgrade ourselves. Long story short they didn't show up and we got the seats-as planned. Hard to believe I had front row center for all three L.A. shows. I told DavidMn that was because God loved us. We slid down the Karma slide last night that's for sure. I was totally shocked we got those seats as I'm sure everyone was eying them. Thank you God! We both looked for you McTrouble before the show but we couldn't find you (second row far left) and I was surprised to learn you were probably standing quite near us at the stage. Glad you had a great time too! And, thank God there were no photogs blocking the stage. Whoever they were they were very inconspicuous. Well, last night was a perfect end to a perfect five day three show run for me. Got plenty of eye contact last night-again. It's six a.m. and I'm still on fire. Have to end now as I have to go to work. And, Lindsey "See you next time, too.":wavey: Carol-Lynn SoCalGalWow! |

Right at the stage!!.....I'm sure you were in Lindsey heaven!!! |
What a great show! First off, I HAVE to send out a HUGE thanks to my March 22nd bud DavidMN, who with incredible generosity of heart, sprung for my ticket to the show at the last minute (we were just going to meet up before the show, just to finally meet in person). Of course, with my ticket being purchased at the last minute, I was in the next to last row, which STILL wasn't all that far away from the stage, but I was directly behind the soundboard, which is USUALLY where I make every effort to sit at concerts anyway. Got to chat with Cubby & Richard (the sound engineers) throughout the show, really nice guys. The sound guys are usually the unsung heroes of every concert and only get the blame if something goes wrong. Kudos to them for the incredible sound at last night's show. (I got to "hear what they heard"...the sound couldn't have been better!!!) Being that my college course of study was "Record & Live Sound Engineering", I got to "talk shop" with them and was able to get them to let me in on some inside stuff. Such as, neither of them had any good things to say about the Grove's house sound system, but since they had embellished it with Lindsey's traveling sound system, obviously improved the sound quality immensely.
Being seated where I was, I not only interacted with the sound guys, but also the three "official" photographers who were instructed that they could only photograph from behind the soundboard, as well. So that's why those down front didn't have to butt heads with photographers in the pit. Other than DavidMN, I also ran into Liam McConville...good to see him again. With the plethora of Ledgies at the show, I'm sorry I didn't get to meet more of y'all. Another time, another concert, I'm sure. Ok, I know I'm still on a few people's "hit list" after my scathing initial review of Seeds We Sow, just want to say that seeing him play a few tunes from that live, I have a whole new appreciation for the album as a whole now. Still, the two tunes from Out Of The Cradle, "All My Sorrows" & "Turn It On" were my favorite tunes in the set...not ONLY because of my OotC love, but the slight twist on the arrangements were really cool to see & hear. OH, and it was an incendiary version of "Second Hand News" as well (ok, a show of hands from those down front...who played bass on that? If Brett & Neal were playing acoustic guitars & Lindsey his Turner Model 1, Walfredo obviously on drums...where was that bass part coming from? I know, but I'm not telling!!!!) Again, a giant THANK YOU to DavidMN and his generosity in giving me the opportunity to experience Lindsey's show! |

Hmm. You've got me wondering about the bass. I have to assume he's piping in sounds like he's done for Tusk -- or he's kidnapped John McVie and has him locked in a closet somewhere. Michele |
