Oh em gee. I have to stalk the ass off her! Anyone with me?! Also thoughts on what she's doing here more than 3 weeks before Hard Rock? How exciting!

She is loving London these days. Must like to hang out with someone there.

She is gonna talk face to face with Christine, she is going to convince her to rejoin Fleetwood Mac (I wish)

UnwindedDreams 06-04-2011 06:04 PM

hanging with dave?

mikebise 06-04-2011 06:18 PM

Doesn't Dave live in L.A.?

Christine's "reasons" for not taking a few months out here and there for Fleetwood Mac don't wash. I think she just hates Stevie.

I just don't get the love vibe from Christine about Stevie. Maybe during 1987-88, but not during The Dance. Just me only. They may be best friends, but it sounds like just another Stevie story to keep alive the Fleetwood Mac "magic" while she's giving interviews.

this makes me sad. i hope it's not true. i hope they still speak. damn....not another "break-up"

mikebise 06-04-2011 07:43 PM

Oh, please don't get sad about some stupid thing I said. I'm sure they're best friends still. Please ignore my previous musings. I'm NOT here to be negative, and I apologize!

Well, ok, then. Can I imagine her sitting in a first class pod?

or depending on airline, this one:

So I'm assuming we're positive that she flies privately pretty much everywhere in the US? Interesting...

mikebise 06-04-2011 08:42 PM

She hasn't looked at a price tag since 1977! :)

Etisl 06-04-2011 08:44 PM

That would be awesome. I like the way you think...

michelej1 06-04-2011 08:50 PM

British America has some beautiful first class cabins. Bed, pajamas and everything.

Wasn't there a story where some of the passengers were joking about how she had special powers cause all the lights went out when she entered the plane? I can't remember excactly, but I thought it was fairly recent.

When the lights go down in the California town, people are in for the evening.

Let's have a warm up gig in the UK somewhere before the 26th June! Only saying that as I fly away on holiday that day and can't make it to London!

I actually kind of agree. Can we really imagine Christine ringing Stevie and going "Oh, get your ass down to Canterbury NOW lady!" I can't. I can imagine Stevie leaving a message on Christine's answering machine and Christine sitting with her dog listening across the room and thinking "Oh God, does this mean I have to go outside?"

I'm wondering if Stevie is actually maybe going back to the continent for more Mediterranean action before her show here. I'm hoping beyond hope she goes on something like the Graham Norton show, it would be great publicity for her before the release date of the CD!

Stevie would be amazing on the Graham Norton show! Graham is so cheeky and funny , I'm sure that he'd make her laugh and have fun. She's not down for the next show on the 1oth of June according to the BBC but it depends how long Stevie is staying in London...seems a bit crazy to fly backwards and forwards between LA and London over the next two weeks?!

dersaw 06-05-2011 06:26 AM

Would be great and would stop people asking who "he" is when I tell people I am a big Stevie Nicks fan!

I picture them sitting around and bragging about their dogs the way many other women their age brag about their kids & grandkids. I suspect that Stevie's Yorkie has an inferiority complex & resents that its big perk in life is getting to chew on platform boots while Mommy plays with a toy singing fish, while Christine's dogs get to roam freely in a cool castle.

Happened to me two days ago, haha!

And I agree that it would be weird for her to go back to America before the show, I'm sure she will do SOMETHING, even if it's something small in between. We'll have to keep our eyes peeled

*crosses fingers* I hope that she takes a few days to rest and see some sights and then gets out and about to do some real promotional spots on UK TV and radio. If you think about it this all ties in nicely with Hyde Park and the later UK release date for IYD, it would be pointless her spending so much time in London before the gig happens otherwise.

I remember calling Harrah's in Reno to get Lindsey tickets and the woman at the box office kept referring to him as "she."

I have to admit that, as an unknowing 16 year old, when I read the insert to my sister's copy of Tango I saw their names under the inner sleeve band photo and presumed that Stevie was the handsome guy and Lindsey was the beautiful petite blonde

SandyMac 06-05-2011 03:47 PM

I would just faint and die if Stevie was on my plane. I would be like "OMG, Stevie Efffing Nicks is on the same damn plane I am on" How cool is that?

She better have antiseptic wipes with her. I swear I got my nasty cold on the plane from LA a week ago.

PenguinHead 06-05-2011 08:52 PM

I'd be very excited if Stevie was on my plane, knowing that we are sharing and breathing the same re-circulated air! I rarely fly first class, but wouldn't it be amazing to be sitting next to her? I'd try to be composed and unaffected, just have a normal conversation, but not be annoyingly talkative.

I doubt Christine has very little interaction with any member of Fleetwood Mac. If anyone, it would be Mick or John. I think that earned her respect from Christine over time. Early on, Christine actually was quoted in an article, saying Stevie's lyrics were sometimes "rubbish."

Still, they bonded early on, if only for the fact that they were the two women in the band. But with overwhelming success, all of them became more isolated from one another. Being that Stevie and Christine have such very different personalities, I suppose their relationship didn't remain as cozy as it was in the initial stages. But there is no ill-will between them.

I wish people would stop wishing Christine rejoins the band. I respect Christine's choice, understanding the reasons she called it quits. She left with her dignity intact.

daniellaaarisen 06-05-2011 09:02 PM

I think I'd hate to be on the same plane as Stevie. I'd be miserable the entire time because I'd be torn between talking to her and keeping myself composed as to not annoy her!

I agree on both points!
