The Wiltern, who else will perform ?

We are headed for LAX tomorow

Aside from Stevie & band & Dave, who else do you expect to see there ? Who else would you love to see there ?

What other surprises can we hope for ?

It is , after all, supposed to be a very special Birthday Party !

Musicman408 05-24-2011 10:14 AM

I haven't gotten the call to play keyboards for this show, but I'm still holding out hope!!! :)

Should be an AMAZING show!

daniellaaarisen 05-24-2011 11:03 AM

Does anyone think there will be an opening act?

hopefully a LOT of Ledgies singing happybirthday ;)

mezzoforte 05-24-2011 11:10 AM

My ultimate dream would be a duet or two with LB, but it seems like a long shot.

Still, they do have an "amazing" peace, and it is her birthday...

(I'll just be over here, clinging to my fantasies)

olive 05-24-2011 11:14 AM

I find it hard to believe she's going to learn new songs , for a one time performance .

a) who says it'll be a one-time performance? She just released a new record. She's going to be playing new songs for a long time after this show.... just maybe not as many of them because she'll find out which ones work live and which ones don't.
b) It's been confirmed by multiple sources that she's playing multiple new songs.

A) she's not touring.

SaraThePoet 05-24-2011 11:45 AM

Just because she isn't touring right this second, doesn't mean she isn't going to at all..and i doubt she put out these songs with the intention of never singing them live;)

That didn't stop her from performing Jane and Love's a Hard Game to Play. And what about the two performances of Nightbird? And what about Destiny Rules and Running Through The Garden?

It would be so cool if Tom Petty showed up. Stevie always calls him her favorite and has honored their friendship by always singing one of his songs.

I don't know who else....maybe Prince? He is in town.

Ha! I'm going to point out that there's a big difference between "I would love to hear them sing together," and, "Lindsey should come because he's totally her secret husband and wouldn't it be great if their secret children came too!?!" But yeah...point taken:o;)

SapphireSister 05-24-2011 04:54 PM

You're not invited, Sheryl Crow.

StandbackStevie 05-24-2011 05:13 PM

maybe Sheryl Crow would be awesome if Heart showed up they broke out and sang Ghosts Are Gone that would be wild.

rubylounge 05-24-2011 05:34 PM

I wonder if Don, Vanessa or Chris Isaak will show up.

Gypsybecca 05-24-2011 05:58 PM

I hope Vanessa shows up just so we can hear Stevie introduce her as "my little friend Vanessa."

That kills me because isn't Vanessa about a foot taller than Stevie?

Ok, Ed, what are you talking about??

Why the mystery, the secrecy?

This is very Rhiannon of you....

*GASP* You're killing me. I really, really hope this works out. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high, but let's face it--they're already way up there.

Kim is judging me right now:lol:

APerfectLie 05-25-2011 12:37 AM

Maybe her and Taylor Swift will do another stellar version of Rhiannon :laugh:

My hope is they do Soldier's Angel instead of Landslide...and that we get lots of pictures and videos. This looks like it's going to be an awesome night. Congrats to everybody who's lucky enough to go!

Why does it look like he is in skinny jeans? That is throwing me. His hair looks really short too. BUT, I have seen video footage of him doing his guitar parts for Soldier's Angel and he was playing a jumbo acoustic which I've never seen before. It looks like the guy in this photo has a jumbo...

lindsey wears skinny jeans all the time now - just watch SNL from last week (there were several comments about skinny jeans).

hope it happens and you guys actually get to see him perform soldier's angel and report back on how it was. and some videos please if possible!

 ....but have I mentioned that I'm excited to see you tomorrow?? :D

HejiraNYC 05-25-2011 08:22 AM

Between the rumored sighting of Mick in California over the weekend, this distant, pixelated shot of some graying dude in a leather jacket and skinny jeans holding a guitar, and the back of Brett Tuggle, is an FM reunion entirely out of the question tomorrow night?  I mean, where else does John have to be? Why else would they be rehearsing two days before the show if this is going to be just like any other casino show? I may be a silly dreamer, but if this happened, wouldn't it be like the greatest gesture to Stevie that FM finally acknowledges and supports her solo career? In a way, I think this thing at the Wiltern has morphed into something that is way beyond what was slated for Webster Hall.

I am counting the minutes until tomorrow night!

would hate to burst any bubbles but how is mick and lindsey [potentially] participating in SN bday concert so different from AHI charity event in which two of them seem to participate pretty regularly?

don't think john usually shows up for AHI concerts so would be surprised to see him at wiltern...

For one thing, there hasn't been an AHI benefit in many years. Secondly, AHI is a charity, unlike the Wiltern show, which is basically just a party by, for and about Stevie and her new solo album. Big difference. They would not be supporting her unless they really wanted to show their support for her as an individual. Regarding John... perhaps he just didn't feel like trekking to Phoenix before. Now he has no excuse unless he's housesitting for Mick in Maui.
