HOLY SH*T. I start my internship tomorrow and was trying to go to bed early, but that's clearly not going to happen. I'm going to force myself to only watch it a couple of times tonight, but wow! Just started and I'm in love already!

deribish 05-19-2011 11:27 PM

Amazing!!!!!!!

APerfectLie 05-19-2011 11:33 PM

Ahh love it! Hope this isn't the full doc tho.

sodascouts 05-19-2011 11:35 PM

EXCELLENT!

And now we know who FWIW is about... the drummer for the Street Angel tour.

According to The Legacy, the man in question is Russ Kunkel.

louielouie2000 05-19-2011 11:37 PM

THE QUICK CUTAWAY CLIPS ARE DRIVING ME FREAKING NUTS!!! There's so much visual richness, I just want to be able to concentrate on it and absorb it! I can tell already this is going to be sooo much more revealing than Destiny Rules ever was.

tabruns 05-19-2011 11:39 PM

Really cool. I love it!!

Who is the dark haired woman in the "Moonlight" video who plays a vampire (and is also playing the violin)?

That's my favorite song on the record, so it was driving me nuts not knowing. Ahhhh closure, it's a great thing. :)

Torrey Devitto, the daughter of Stevie's friend Mary Torrey. She's a recurring star on Pretty Little Liars and had her own show a few years ago (Beautiful girls? The Beautiful Life? Something like that).

henryscutter 05-19-2011 11:55 PM

sweet- this looks very interesting. I would guess this is new sizzle reel and there is much more in the actual documentary.

I knew that she and Russ Kunkel were together... but I thought that was way back in the early 80s, somewhere in between Jimmy Iovine and Joe Walsh. I had no idea that they started up again after SA. That man has had the most unbelievable career; he's played with Joni, Carly, Stevie, Linda Ronstadt... just incredibly lucky (and talented too).

Crystal_Elle 05-20-2011 12:04 AM

Okay, what snippet of a song is playing in part one at 4:43? It may be because it's midnight and I only had 4 hours of sleep today, but the only thing I'm coming up with is maybe Ghosts Are Gone. But she's talking about Cheaper Than Free at that point in the video, so I'm confused.

J.Miller 05-20-2011 12:05 AM

I want more too and the longer the better.

jkmaletic 05-20-2011 12:09 AM

Awesome find!

This is on Stevie's Youtube channel, right? I wonder why Dave never tweeted that it was out?

Regardless- very cool This is just a taste of what's to come.

Hi Louie :wavey:

bombaysaffires 05-20-2011 12:44 AM

watching this it strikes me how much more fun it seems to be making an album with Stevie than with Lindsey.... Stevie just seems to bring the party with her, whereas you always get the feeling Lindsey makes his albums in a room by himself....just hours and hours in there by himself....

I thought he had dated Carly Simon too? An interesting life they lead.

Mayhap because Lindsey has the musical chops to be able to make an album by himself?

This statement needs clarification. Is dying a good or bad thing to you?

WelshWitchPMD 05-20-2011 01:08 AM

I can't get this to work on my iPod. What is this about Stevie and Russ Kunkel? He was married to Nicolette Larson from 1990 until her death in 1997

Japhry 05-20-2011 01:13 AM

Yesssss! Thank You for sharing! Seeing that made my night.

mikephxaz 05-20-2011 01:17 AM

Wow...what a perfect way to end a lovely evening...i have to wonder how this will be released? She should do remixes and include it on another IYD cd edition

Stevie just mentions that the drummer from her Street Angel tour is the person "For What It's Worth" is about. She says she was freaked out about going onstage sober for the first time ever, didn't think she was good enough to do it without drugs, and that he encouraged & breathed life back into her.

Anybody else think it's interesting how For What It's Worth is about a love affair with a married man; yet in Everybody Loves You when she is propositioned for an affair with a married man, she claims "she was so not that girl." :p

I don't think she said it was actual affair with a married man, although she I'm sure she has done that.

Meowi 05-20-2011 01:47 AM

Coolies!
This is awesome!

WelshWitchPMD 05-20-2011 02:13 AM

OK, I just saw it. I don't see where she says she was involved with this drummer but IDK. It would be pretty sad if she did since he was married and had a 4 year old at home. Personally, I think the story is BS for the most part. I'm not saying I don't think she wouldn't get involved with a married man but maybe not this one.

Thank you for posting. They were very exciting to watch. Now I can go to sleep, peacefully.

gypsy4life 05-20-2011 02:26 AM

OMG! This is fate!!
I just jolted out of bed (3am), and decided I needed a trip to the garage for a smoke, and flipped on my laptop.
BAM! Perfection was waiting on me!

I am in love with this, and when the full thing comes out, I will probably just die of Stevie overload.

I think this doc will be even better than Destiny Rules!!

To be quite honest, In Your Dreams didn't catch me on the first few listens the way I hoped it would. But, as with a lot of albums, now I've watched this documentary and returned to it after a break I'm really getting into it. I'm willing to bet that this time next week I'll be completely obsessed.

djdanii 05-20-2011 03:29 AM

So I mentioned in another post a few weeks ago that Stevie should do a video album like Beyoncé did with her "B'Day" album, Blondie did to their "Eat to The Beat" album and Annie Lennox did with one of her albums.

It looks as though Stevie made like 6 videos (So far I counted Moonlight (A Vampire’s Dream). Everybody Loves You, Wide Sargasso Sea, Cheaper Than Free, Secret Love, and Italian Summer - I'm hoping she made complete videos for the other 4 songs (we already know there is Secret Love & Cheaper). Have the documentary as a bonus feature for the video album. Would be soooo awesome.

I love this album so far. I never got into Trouble in Shangri La when I came out as much as I got into this one (and I got the last copy at Barnes & Noble the other day)... Anyways that's my thought!
