Looks like Stevie may not appear on the AI finale after all...so much speculation for it to not be true, but ABC News is reporting that her agent denied that she is appearing. :shrug:

What's the true story?

maybe they saw her performance lastnight and nixed it :shrug:

The article was from before last night, so that's not it. Just not sure what is true -- sometimes they like the Idol guests to be "surprise" guests, so it could be false information. Or, maybe she really is not going to perform.

Last I heard/read, she won't be on AI.

This is precisely what I was going to post. :laugh: Her performance on Ellen wasn't too pretty either. Not exactly what you want to point the younger generation of Idol hopefuls to aspire to. :sorry:

I asked the original poster where they found that information & they replied saying that AI wasn't going to let her do her new single, so she cancelled.

Nobody else really said anything in that thread after that, so I assumed what was posted was true & that was the end of it. :shrug:

I think it's good she's not letting them dictate what song she can or can't perform, but I also think it would've been the ultimate exposure she could've gotten on TV, as the finale is always the highest rated/most watched night of the year for TV.

But, she needs some rest... darling, it's best...

I'd much rather her take time off to fully recover from the pneumonia, than to strain her voice anymore than she already has for the finale.

After she's fully recovered, I'm sure we'll see her make rounds on the late night talk show circuit & hopefully by then we'll get much more polished/less strained versions of Secret Love & possibly IYD? Moonlight? GAG? :thumbsup:

That is correct. AI was only going to give her a brief moment -- 90 seconds or so to sing as part of a large duet - and it wasn't going to be one of her new songs ... the song going to be Rhiannon rock performance or a verse and the refrain from Edge of 17.

It was nixed and she went to Dancing with the Stars instead.

i thought dancing with the stars was planned from the start. ricky peterson mentioned it a while ago. i wonder if she'll announce any live dates to promote this record anytime soon. summer is right around the corner.

Not good, really.

She forgot the words a bunch and it just was weird. She could have rocked out much harder at the end.

I guess this just proves that no one does Stevie better than, well, Stevie.

Who did better Haley or Taylor.

Haley, because she at least was in tune and has some stage presence.
