Seriously amazing. I'm jealous.

My friends indulge my Stevie habit by going to concerts and keeping their eye rolls to a minimum when I bring her up, but I'm trying to imagine a world in which they would recreate photo shoots with me.

Oh I know. I can't tell you how ~magical~ it is to find a group of people who are just as insane as you are. :D We've been getting together about once a year for the last 4-5 years.

I've never really been into drag. I was part of a Rocky Horror shadow cast in Pittsburgh some years ago and played Janet, Columbia and Magenta on rare occasions but I've never been one to want to dress up as a woman and go out to the bars. I'll leave that to the men who do it way better than I ever could.

Having said that, I recently got involved with an amazing organization called The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group of people who appear in public as very flamboyant nuns who spread joy through the GLBT community, help people to rid themselves of stigmatic guilt and who work very hard to raise money for various GLBT charities. I've known the Sisters of the LA house for over ten years and decided it was time to dive in be a part of them. So in contemplating what my look as a Sister may turn out to look like I've been telling everyone it's going to be a cross between Little Edie from Grey Gardens and Stevie Nicks. I mean, how often does a guy get to don the chiffon and be that fabulous? Right?
