Is There A Web Site For Sales?

Hello All

Is there a site we can go to, to like find out how many copies a album has sold?

Like, you enter in “David Record” as the album title, and it can tell you the peak position, and how many copies it has sold to date, like = 150,000 sold as of 4/2011

I am just curious, as there a ton of older albums, and some news ones that I want to see the sales on

Thanks in advance

Albums I am curious about

Rick Springfield - Venus In Over Drive . I know it peaked at #28

Hall & Oates - Do It For Love

Richard Marx - My Own Best Enemy

Etc.

Thank you

Not exactly. You can go to riaa certification website to see what has been certified gold, platinum or diamond. http://www.riaa.com/goldandplatinum....=certification

However, I don't know of anything for exact sales.

this is about the only one I know of:

Stevie Nicks' "In Your Dreams" -- her first studio album since 2001's No. 5-peaking "Trouble In Shangri-La," enters at No. 6 with 52,000.

That's not good! Stevie said if the album doesn't do well that she won't be touring!

Hum.whats wrong with our girl .for several years she toured with no new cd to boot.

Jondalar 05-12-2011 09:12 PM

TISL sold over 109k the first week it came out. But you are forgetting that there was a huge VH1 presale that was advertised for over a month and half before it came out and she was just coming off the Dance.

Only 52,000 and thats at No. 6? How many has the No. 1 album sold? I can't pretend that I know anything about music sales but that seems kind of low. I should go buy more copies!

I think Adele's 21 (which was number 1) sold around 120,000...

Adele was over 120k, she had a huge increase bolstered by mother's day. Her tally actually increased last week.

Oh, I should have guessed considering the amount of Adele videos that I see posted on FB, but I've never listened to her.

Thank you very much-a lot of interesting stuff to look at...wow!
Ricoh

mystical1 05-13-2011 01:41 PM

I wouldnt worry so much about her touring..her shows are always sold out pretty much and the reason she was talking about touring is because if the CD didnt sell then no promoters would want to sponser her but I dont think we really have much to worry about:nod:

I think she will she makes more on touring and mostly artists today don't make much on there cd they make more on touring. In interviews she has done almost sounds like its up in the air if she will do a full In Your Dreams Tour. I would see a later summer or Fall/Winter Tour 2011.

Old AT40 index....

Hi All.Those of you that tune in the Casey Kasem American Top 40 from the 1970's a the 1980's.This index will provide when Stevie/FM ,Lindsey,Christine Mick and John do on the charts in those years.Enjoy.Also to see how your other fave artists do on the charts for that period.

http://www.oldradioshows.com/at40/regindexck.html

Just click on the airdate of the show and it will show the top 40 songs from that weekend.AT40 at the time used Billboard for their rankings.
