louielouie2000 05-07-2011 11:22 PM

1) Rock A Little.
2) Trouble In Shangri La
3) Street Angel
4) Bella Donna
5) In Your Dreams
6) Wild Heart

I truly enjoy the first 5 nearly equally. The sixth, I don't care for at all. :)

StandbackStevie 05-07-2011 11:24 PM

I really Love them all

but If I were to pick one it would be Trouble In Shangri-La, But I am loving In Your Dreams too.

Fiver 05-07-2011 11:25 PM

I was just thinking about this the other day.

StandbackStevie 05-07-2011 11:26 PM

I voted for all of them I do love them All

WildHearted 05-07-2011 11:28 PM

I voted Bella Donna and The Wild Heart. Those are two of my favorite Stevie songs period.

1. Bella Donna
2. The Wild Heart
3. Rock a Little
4. In Your Dreams
5. Street Angel
6. TISL

... ish.

tabruns 05-07-2011 11:31 PM

1. Trouble In Shangri-La

2. Bella Donna

3. In Your Dreams

4. Rock A Little

5. Mirror, Mirror (doesn't really count I know, but I kind of consider it TOSOTM's unofficial "title track")

6. Wild Heart

7. Street Angel

Jondalar 05-07-2011 11:41 PM

1. Bella Donna
2. Trouble in Shangri La
3. Rock A Little
4. In Your Dreams
5. The Wild Heart
6. Mirror Mirror (this has the strangest lyrics, but it's one of her best vocals of all time)
7. Street Angel

This could change.

Fiver 05-07-2011 11:49 PM

1. Bella Donna
2. Wild Heart
3. Trouble in Shangri-La
4. Rock A Little
5. In Your Dreams
6. Alice (not technically the OSOTM title track, but ya know 'like Alice through the looking glass' and all that)
7. Street Angel

Only one I don't really enjoy is Street Angel.

tabruns 05-07-2011 11:59 PM

Alice is probably a better fit for TOSOTM since it's actually on the album. I'll have to re-vote then:

1. Trouble In Shangri-La
2. Bella Donna
3. Alice
4. In Your Dreams
5. Rock A Little
6. Wild Heart
7. Street Angel

TISL & The Wild Heart

fairydust75 05-08-2011 12:44 AM

1.) Trouble in Shangri La. 2.) Wild Heart. 3.) Bella Donna. 4.) In Your Dreams. 5.) Rock A Little. 6.) Street Angel. 7.) OSOTM.

Hawkeye 05-08-2011 12:45 AM

i can't belive so many are placing Bella Donna at #1. It is by FAR my least favorite title track. And by least favorite I mean its an 8 out of 10, since as I stated in that thread I started a couple months ago if Stevie is consistent in at least one area, it's AWSEOME title tracks. And In Your Dreams did not dissapoint. Now this only applies to solo albums, since Say You Will is far from being anything special.

1. TISL
2. Wild Heart
3. In Your Dreams
4. Street Angel
5. Rock a Little

6. Bella Donna

and since AliceLover will whine if this isn't included

7. Alice

It really throws me that you like "Wild Heart" but not "Bella Donna". To me, "Wild Heart" has always sounded like a meandering, unfocused version of "Bella Donna".

daniellaaarisen 05-08-2011 12:56 AM

It's a three-way tie between "Bella Donna," "Wild Heart" and "Trouble In Shangri-La."

Heartboy 05-08-2011 12:59 AM

My fave is 'Rock A little'!

2) Bella Donna
3) Wild Heart
4) In Your Dreams
5) Street Angel
6) TISL

I wish somone would upload a 'RAL' video with Stevie pictures!

and not with a remix or demo version, I like the album cut just fine!:wavey:;)

You've just described why I don't care for the song & album Wild Heart. The whole affair just seems to be egotistical rambling, with no one roping in Stevie's focus. Jimmy Iovine kept Stevie very grounded and focused on Bella Donna, but she obviously wriggled loose from his grip on Wild Heart.

And here I was ready & willing to be the villain who trashed "Alice".

I tend to flip-flop between "Wild Heart" & "Bella Donna", but tonight BD is the favorite:

1) Bella Donna
2) Wild Heart
3) Rock a Little
4) Trouble in Shangri-la (I hate the vocal on the verses)
5) In Your Dreams (I like the vocal, but the song lacks the lyrical depth of TISL)
6) Street Angel (might be higher if we weren't going by the album version - I really like the "Jeremy's re-mix" version on YouTube)
7 (million) ) Alice

Oh, Louie, the song is called WILD Heart, not Roped-in-from-rambling Heart.;)

This is actually the single best, most succinct retort I've ever received regarding my dislike of WH. Touche!

I do wish I could drink the WH Kool Aid, but I just can't swallow it. You have gotten me to contemplate the song and album with your thoughts, though.

I can't either. I really don't get the love for that song.

For me, I'd say three-way tie between Wild Heart, TISL and In Your Dreams.

But I realize that IYD has to stand the test of time. I'll see what I think a year from now.

Dreamz19 05-08-2011 01:48 AM

I actually like them all, but if I were to rank them

1. Rock a Little 2. Bella Donna 3. Street Angel 4. Wild Heart 5. In Your Dreams 6. TISL

The Wild Heart album always struck me the same way. The lyrics were more esoteric than on Bella Donna, not a crime necessarily but they were tied to really ham-handed synth heavy music. It should have been eerie or mystical synth music. But all the synths on the album are like stolid waves that hit you. In one case, "Stand Back", it's magical and really works well but in other cases it doesn't: The synth refrain that drives "Nightbird", the dun-dun-dunnadundun belts of "Nothing Ever Changes", even the rolling synths of "If Anyone Falls In Love". All of that sounds heavy to me, and it's matched with very spacey lyrics.

Tabruns I really need to get this off my chest. Don't be offended. You probably feel the same way about me. But YOUR TASTE SUCKS. 100 PERCENT SUCKS!!!!!!!!! Theres no nice way for me to put it.I find it hard to belive we can both be fans of the same woman. That small paragraph contains so many contridictions to what I feel. Wild Heart, Nightbird, and NEC are all in my top 10 Stevie songs. And the one song you said the synth works for is Stand Back and at least in the studio thats my lest favorite on Wild Heart.

Now Louie I realize you share the same opinions onthose very same songs, but in case you didn't notice in the soldiers angel thread I forgive you forever on any Wild Heart opinions since you're one of the few people who appreciate Soldiers Angels Brilliance. Tabruns, I looked up your IYD rankings and of course your bottom 3 are my top 3 Soldiers, Ghosts and IYD.

Again don't be offended, I'm just baffled how we can like the same woman but not agree on any of the aspects that make certain songs great or suck.

Of course I'm offended. I'm not offended that you have a different opinion. I'm offended that the best you can muster is "YOUR TASTE SUCKS" (in all caps no less).

Notice that I didn't say "These songs suck" and leave it at that. I gave reasons why I didn't care for them. I was specific. I wasn't expecting anyone to feel identical to me, I was stating that I didn't care for them and why.

If you'd stated that they're your favorites and why, I wouldn't have batted an eye. I might even reconsider them, depending on what you said. But just screaming "YOUR TASTE SUCKS" and following that up with an unbelievably lame "no offense"? Please.

Hawkeye 05-08-2011 02:41 AM

I've expressed why all those songs I mentioned are my favorites in great detail Many Many Times before. Almost all of my posts go into almost too much detail on my opinions of songs. But for right now, its late , im tired and I don't feel like going into great detail again. I just needed to get that off my chest before I forgot. I felt a strong opinion and I needed to express it. Me saying "Oh I disagree with your opinion" simply did not cut it for me.

Good. I never liked ol' unibrow.

Anyway:

1. Trouble in Shangri La
2. Wild Heart
3. Bella Donna
4. In Your Dreams
5. Rock a Little
6. Street Angel

Heartboy 05-08-2011 03:04 AM

You two can take your fighting out the front door!:p

Drama Queens, I swear! ;)

Thrown_Down 05-08-2011 03:27 AM

It's really tough to choose, because I love the title tracks so much. In four instances they are my favourite song on their parent album. Here goes:

1) Trouble in Shangri-La
2) Rock A Little
3) Alice
4) Wild Heart
5) Street Angel
6) In Your Dreams
7) Bella Donna.

I really love them all though!

Tough to rank them but my favourites are Bella Donna, In Your Dreams, Wild Heart and Trouble in Shangri-La. Of course, the Ledgies recent version of Wild Heart is the best out of them all!

wildheart048 05-08-2011 04:54 AM

Wild Heart
Bella Donna
Street Angel
Trouble In Shangri-La
In Your Dreams
Alice
Rock A Little (but if you factor in the x-remix, switch the last two...)

What do I REALLY win for all my effort? How about a lousy t-shirt that says "My forum moderator went to lasso Stevie's Wild Heart & all I got was him to contemplate.":p:cool:

Aussie W/Heart 05-08-2011 06:39 AM

Tellurium 05-08-2011 07:22 AM

3. Street Angel
(3.5 Alice)

bluefox4000 05-08-2011 08:49 AM

As S0-so- as the album is....For me it's TISL...I swear I had an Ear-gasim.

In order though i'd Say

1. TISL
2. Bella Donna
3. Wild Heart
4. In your dreams
5. Street Angel
6. Rock a Little

I begrudgingly Ranked the last 2 even though they put me too sleep.

Mick

Keith 05-08-2011 08:58 AM

I went with..

Trouble in Shangri-La.. with The Wild Heart coming in at a close second...

I made a playlist with 8 songs from IYD and 8 songs from TISL... Trouble in Shangri-L - both the album and song - sounds great mixed with "In Your Dreams."

Artemis 05-08-2011 09:53 AM

While all of her title tracks are epics in my eyes, apart from Street Angel which I just can't get into at all, it's a tie between Wild Heart and Trouble In Shangri-La.

Wild Heart just grabs me instantly - something in my heart died last night / just one more chip off an already broken heart - really excellent lyrics from Stevie.

Whilst I see Trouble In Shangri-La as one of Stevie's best tracks since 1985, it's the perfect way for her to have went "I'm back!"

ontheEdgeof17 05-08-2011 10:34 AM

Street Angel
Rock A Little
Bella Donna
Wild Heart
Trouble In Shangri-La
In Your Dreams
Alice
