Stevie Nicks Made a DVD To Be Shown Tonight at "Night of a Thousand Stevie's"

We’re all a little bummed Stevie Nicks canceled her Webster Hall show Wednesday night — especially Stevie, who has pneumonia. As a consolation prize, Highline Ballroom offers Nicks fans quantity and quality with the 21st annual “ Night of a Thousand Stevies” extravaganza tonight.

People in Nicks-inspired gypsy-goth attire are invited to shake their tambourines while deejays and live performers play from all the songstress’ albums, including the new “ In Your Dreams”— her first solo project in 10 years — and those recorded with Fleetwood Mac.

According to “ NOTS” producer Hatti Hathaway, fans are in for a special treat this year.


“ Before she got sick, Stevie made a DVD for us to show at the party. I don’t want to give a spoiler alert — people will see it [ tonight].”

major disappointment of the night at NOTS....NO NEW SONGS WERE PLAYED!!! BOOOOOOO cmon people we gotta spread the word of this great new album!!!!

I think it was Christopher who said a few nights ago that he misses funny Stevie. I think this is probably her most intentionally funny moment in a while, right? At least, I laughed (disclaimer: I'm a little tipsy).

I am smiling right now. I can't tell if it's just that Stevie is so nice in the video, or if it's also that I cannot stop picturing her in whatever kind of disguise she thinks might actually fool her most diehard fans. This is the bad part of NOTS, year after year they seem to play the same 5-6 songs over and over again and it's crazy they didn't even play Secret Love! C'mon NOTS people, get some REAL Stevie fans in there to tell the DJ what to play!

She'll be a tough act to follow that's for sure! It was a lot of fun. Travis definitely rocked the crowd out--he put on a great combo video of Marilyn Martin and Stevie Nicks' Sorcerer. It was also great to see "No Spoken Word" LIVE on the big screen and people dancing around to it. It felt like you were at the show LIVE. I think Stevie would feel totally safe with all the people that gather to pay her tribute and have a great night.

As a former performer myself(but not at NOTS) I can tell you that it takes about a month to rehearse for these performances. The new album's only been out for 2 weeks. Secret Love is too short. The goal is to pick a longer song so you can have more stage time. They'll probably have new songs performed next year.

Love this woman!!! Maybe she'll attend next year, she already knows what she's going to sing plus she expects to see Victorian ball gowns next year.... Love the air kisses. She's so funny.

She IS really funny, and mostly keeps a straight face when she is clowning, but I bet she lost it when she said she is responsible for reintroducing the ball gowns--there IS an edit there. :laugh:

Singlehandedly. Actually, it would be funny if we started seeing those on the street, in place of the gypsy dresses, the tuxedo jackets and top hats . . . if we start seeing Victorian skirts and bodices at concerts that would be rather cool.
