UK Shipments ?
 

Anyone in the UK ( or Europe) got their CD from the Warner Brothers order yet ? Had an email saying its shipped in the 27th April…no sign yet ?:distress:

No sign yet. I got the e-mail too but I expect it to take a good couple of weeks. I also got an e-mail from amazon saying my copy from there had shipped on release date and is expected 9-10 May.

Anyone order from CDwow?

a couple of weeks !...wonder why it would take so long in this day and age ?..I also heard there may be a customs charge to pay at the post office ?...shame really wanted a weekend listening to' In Your Dreams'..only heard it twice on Rollingstone before it was taken down.

Because Warners don't give a **** about anyone outside the US. Sad but true.

I do not agree. The CD is available in every Dutch recordstore I walked in to the last week.

It's all about marketing, they wait in the UK till after the HydePark-concert, I bet there will be some visible marketing after that!

So WB might have a plan and a reason :-)

Postal services do not work as fast anymore since E-mail and other means of digital communication:-)

Sorry, I should have been clearer: I meant the Fan Edition. The later UK release of the standard edition makes perfect sense.

As for the fan edition, not only did WB make it a bit awkward to order but dispatch should have been much, much earlier to make sure that non US territories didn't have to wait so long. It can't be helped though and sorry if I'm griping but it's little things like that that often make fans feel less valued.

Amazon UK really hacked me off over this. I had the import on pre-order for ages, and then in the middle of last week I got an email saying the dispatch date was changed to end of June - which is, of course, the official UK release date. Went and checked their website and there's no longer an option to order an import at all.

Luckily, I saw that there was one 'used' CD for sale from the States, so I bought that and it shipped yesterday, so I'm hopeful I'll have it in my mitts soon.

I guess I should've ordered from Warners all along, but you don't have yours yet either, so who knows? I'm annoyed because obviously Stevie won't register the sale of a secondhand unit, but I WANT MY IYD!!

They always do this. Far better to not bother ordering the import (which costs morer anyway) and just order direct from amazion.com in the US. With the exchange rate we get a better deal. I'm guessing that my CD from amazon will arrive before with WB Fan Edition, despite WB's one dispatching first!

well if it shipped on 27th there is no reason to suspect it didn't go...thats 9 days ago now..so fingers crossed maybe we will be surprised in the post tomorrow ?:rolleyes:...unless Warners sent it by boat !:laugh:

Me too - it said it shipped the 28th April but I am still waiting! I got hold of it on the internet in the end as I am too impatient, so don't really care when it arrives now anyway! Though it will be nice to see the artwork and all that..

On the warners page, it says that it can take up to 28 working days for delivery in the UK, so I don't think we'll be getting them until the end of the May, at least. I hope we get them sooner though.

think im going to have to resort to tracking down a online down load version...didn't want to have to do that but i'm certianly not waiting until the end of May while most other countries are enjoying there new Stevie tunes !:mad:

I was having this exact same conversation today. I got the email from Warners saying it had shipped 27th April, so I would have throught it would be here by now...

I got my lithograph today! Judging by what other people have been saying, I'm assuming that the CD will arrive in the next few days. :]

Oooohhh how is it?? I don't have my lithograph of Fan Edition CD yet but this is enccouraging news so I hope to get them soon!

My standard US release CD from amazon.com isn't here yet either but I called the delivery company and they say it arrived in the depot in Aberdeen at 6am this morning so I should receive it tomorrow. <<< waits expectantly >>>

The lithograph is gorgeous. The only Stevie poster I have is the cover of 'The Other Side of the Mirror', so I finally get to put another one up in my bedroom!

I'm so excited about getting the CD. Make sure you post as soon as yours arrives. If you get it before me though, I shall be filled with a furious envy :laugh:

It's about 16' x 20', but the quality is lovely. The paper is really thick, and it's so nice to see the cover in such amazing detail. I just hope the CD comes in the next few days.

Mine was shipped on the 29th....still nothing ....

I think we are best to resign ourselves to the fact it probably won't be with us until late May/early June. I don't want to listen to it anymore via poor online streaming as my computer speakers are crap...im just going to try and put it in the back of my mind now as its all too frustrating especially when I see all the buzz on this forum....I want my new Stevie album completely or not at all!!!....so frustraiting for us Brits after all these years of waiting we now can’t enjoy this wonderful moment properly:(:(:(

Got my copy of In Your Dreams today! Not the fan edition or lithorgaph (still waiting on Warners) so I still don't have My Heart but I'm so excited to finally have a copy of the album!

I really see no reason why a cd would take so long to ship from the US

It's the fact that amazon.com sometimes use a courier company called Yodel for orders once they hit the UK. This is a change from how they worked before. I've just discovered that Yodel are notoriously unreliable. My order sat in the depot for days before arriving! They also sent it to the wrong place first before I had to call and chase it up. Annoying! They don't alweays use this company though. On other ocassions I've received stuff within a week.

I just hope Warners aren't the same. God knows how long I'll be waiting for the other stuff!

I too got mine today! It said it had shipped on the 28th April so I was beginning to get very impatient, but there we go. It had come via Frankfurt, for some bizarre reason. So there's imminent hope for all of you waiting in the UK yet!

Me too. I have my regular edition from amazon for now though. First time I've ever pre-ordered more than 1 copy of an album!

I've had NOTHING from Warner Bros and am getting a bit worried that others have. I'll really worry if it's not here by the end of next week.

Got mine yesterday too! Im from London so I expect as you guys are in the north of the UK you will probably get yours tomorrow. They probably shipped into the London area and are posting out from there ... Fingers crossed for you !
