http://news.change.org/stories/yes-c...me-sex-couples Target favors pro-business candidates, regardless of their position on social issues. The situation is very different from Chick-Fil-A. I don't agree with that, either, and no longer shop at Target unless it's essential. However, I won't begrudge you the food or judge you for it - I've never eaten there because I don't eat chicken, but people are free to eat what they like regardless of political affiliations. Good food is good food, period, and everyone I know that eats there raves about it. |

I'd never tell you or anyone else that they shouldn't eat at Chick-fil-A, but any company that views me as a second or third-class citizen isn't getting my business. |

Sorry to have opened this can of worms on this thread but maybe through this lens everyone will understand my distaste for My Heart. Connecting it with Chick fil-a style music is certainly enough to ruin the mood of the album for me. I guess that just means I'll have to buy a copy of the original cd too. And I really wish they'd do a vinyl release too. I buy a lot of current music and IYD is definitely an outlier nowadays in the fact that there is no vinyl release. |
I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND what you meant about My Heart sounding like a Christian rock song..
Well, first off, the entire sound... but then that line, "My heart still stops when I stand before you.." idk I always hear the 'stand before you' line in Christian songs. That's what I've thought since I got the B&N CD! |
Hey everybod-eh...
In-depth discussion of topics of religion, and politics don't belong here. No problem at all discussing that stuff of course, but not in a thread dedicated to My Heart. So let's keep that in Chit Chat and back on topic... My Heart. |

http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...istine/liz.jpg Gay marriage is marriage. Being pro-marriage should mean supporting the right of any two people to spend their lives together, regardless of sexual orientation. As for the song--Gah! Does My Heart really sound like Christian rock? It really might. Man, we're killing one of my favorite songs! |

If anyone wants to get married, they should be allowed. I will never get a divorce...because I will never get married. Cameron Diaz was quoted today in the news, saying "I think we have to make our own rules. I don't think we should live our lives in relationships based off of old traditions that don't suit our world any longer. I'm down with that!:o |

We don't have Chic-fil-A in the UK thank god but I don't eat meat so they wouldn't get my custom anyway. I used that quote in an ethics test I had last week. The question was "What are your views on gay marriage" so I just quoted away. (beside the point but for the lulz anyway) the question after it was "What are your views on homosexuality" so I answered "It's pretty awesome, y'all should try it" |
Wow I had no idea about ChicFilA's ownership. I've always gone through the drive thru so I've never heard the music. Only thing I really like from there is the lemonade anyways.
|
I want Chik Fil A here... tell them no-workin-on-Sundays SOBs to jump the pond.

One question, though: did you "answer", or did you "gay answer"?;) |
Wow, so THAT's why they aren't open on Sundays. Luckily I don't go there very often, but sometimes I just need my fukcing lemonade. Blaaaah.
