What happened to Tori Amos face?

http://www.toriamos.com/

I think I want to cry. Plastic surgery ruins another beauty.

Silver Springs 05-05-2011 10:28 AM

She was so beautiful. Now she looks completely frozen. Oh Tori. You make me sad. I always thought you were above that.

markolas 05-05-2011 10:37 AM

I always thought she looked a bit like Jocelyn Wildenstein anyway. I've never been a fan of hers at all. Her & Suzanne Vega...blech.

HejiraNYC 05-05-2011 11:31 AM

I think it's a big improvement to be honest.

Jondalar 05-05-2011 11:42 AM

she looks like willow in buffy

cliffdweller 05-05-2011 11:55 AM

Her face definitely looks different, but I can't tell where it has radically changed. Is it the eyes? She just looks so stiff and lifeless.

She shouldn't at her age, lol. Okay, try and look your best for your age. But shoot too far down the ladder and you just don't look right. There are many examples to prove this, Cher and Burt Reynolds most prominent in my mind.

Burt Reynolds, agreed. But I think Cher looks fantastic, especially since she was never really a classical beauty to begin with. Tori's work is pretty good; if you had never seen her before, you wouldn't assume she had anything done. However, I have to admit that the brows are lifted a bit too high. Other than that, kudos to her surgeon.

The thing about plastic surgery? When the face is expressionless for a single shot, it can look great. Especially if that shot is a heavily-photoshopped promo.
But when you see that face trying to emote, you realize how oddly it moves and how strange fillers look under the skin.

mezzoforte 05-05-2011 12:41 PM

Oh! And can we talk about Bristol Palin? Gawker just did a close examination of her rapidly changing face, and it's terrifying.

I mean, I can see wanting to get rid of some of the fat around her neck/chin, but she doesn't even look like herself! She barely looks human! She was so cute before.

TheWILDheart 05-05-2011 12:44 PM

That pic has been photoshopped to f*ck! She doesn't look that bad in person, trust me!
But I don't care.

NEW ALBUM :blob1: :blob2:

TOUR DATES!!!!!!!!
Excellent. Currently frantically booking tickets for the European tour lol

Yup!

I also find that she look increasingly like Shirley MacLaine, with the eye lifts.

It's interesting that throughout her career. she's been held in comparison with Shirley MacLaine (Though I could never figure it out personally, especially considering Shirley's not even a musician. But it was always the buzz in Tori Fan Forums). Now she appears to have inadvertently set out to complete the transformation.

That is terrifying! You know, aging gracefully is more beautiful than looking like a plastic surgery horror show any day. Why don't celebs get that? Or, if you're going to have some work done, do it tastefully and sparingly for chrissakes.

It's a pity that those who can't afford the plastic surgery (ignore the irony) are the ones who understand what it means to grow old gracefully. I for one plan on ageing like an old leather bag.

BTFLCHLD 05-05-2011 04:20 PM

The AFTER photograph displayed is from 2007s botched plastic surgery.
It appears to me she has had corrective surgery to bring her back to looking more like herself.

Yeah. She still doesn't really look like herself. http://www.toriamos.com/

Okay, make that "bring her back to looking somewhat human." I really like her new look- the red hair, the green eye makeup, the pale skin... it's very earthy.

Yuck!

She's not even that old!

WildHearted 05-05-2011 05:37 PM

That's so depressing. I think Tori is amazingly talented... shame she felt the need to mess with her face like that :(

I only saw Tori once on the Dew Drop Inn Tour for Boys for Pele..I did not think she'd be the type to botch herself so badly with surgeryThat seems more the domain of Madonna..She has copied Kate Bush so much too bad that she didn't copy her when it came to no surgery.

me either, I thought she was deeper than that

Meowi 05-05-2011 07:05 PM

The saddest thing is, that Tori is so natural in her music. Her plain, unaltered Little Earthquakes face had that cute alternative-university look to it.

Absolutely, a Vulcanian

DefDumbandBlond 05-05-2011 10:18 PM

I don't plan to grow old gracefully but I do plan to do it in the most 'natural' looking way possible. Luckily I've already got the advantage of not looking my age to begin with so maybe it will be beneficial in the future.

I thought she looked great in this pic. It's from around 2005/2006.
