Get Stevie on The View/Wendy....

The campaign to get Stevie on Oprah worked . Maybe us fans need to pick up WB's slack in the PR department and bombard these shows with requests to have Stevie as a guest.

I feel better about myself already, i wrote them all ! If we can win Oprah over, we can win the rest !! It's worth a shot ! ;)

Hawkeye 04-23-2011 03:59 PM

You guys aren't being serious about the "getting Stevie on Oprah" thing are you? Because that was just a coincidence. They had this whole Women who rock show already planned and Stevie just happened to be arguably the most iconic and was the headliner. Her fans did not get her on Oprah.

well debbie downer...even if that's the case..what's it gonna hurt to try to get her on other shows??? (the whole point of this thread)

Annabell Lee 04-23-2011 04:25 PM

It NEVER hurts to try. I'd like to think we all had something to do with Oprah ( even if we didn't ) it brings a smile to my face and that's what counts !! ;)

AMEN Annabell Lee AMEN:thumbsup:

mezzoforte 04-23-2011 04:41 PM

Didn't one of O's producers tweet something to the effect of, "Stevie fans, we've heard you. More on this to follow..."?
Maybe a coincidence, but I think they were aware that Stevie has a large and dedicated fan base. It might not have been the single cause, but isn't it always a good thing to contribute to the visibility of her following, even in small ways?

Macfanforever 04-23-2011 04:45 PM

I've never tuned in to these shows..but It wont hurt to try to get her on them.

I stole this post from Seven Wonders:

Stevie mentioned on THE TALK today
on: Tuesday, April 19, 2011 01:22:40 AM
Quote

So i stopped watching this show after the first few novelty weeks but i had it recorded today and just watched it and they were talking about what they all did this weekend. Sarah Gilbert said she went and saw Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart. the audience applauded that. She said how she loved her and how emotional she got when they projected stuff on the backscreen like on LANDSLIDE with old photos of stevie growing up. a woman saw her crying and took her hand and said ''It's alright''. She said her dream would be for stevie to be on the show and sing ''sara'' to her. Julie Chen said that was one of the most beautiful songs ever and Sharon Osbourne said ''Don't worry, we'll work on getting her''. Awesome! Everything coming together. I'm sure she won't be on there but she's on everyone's mind!

So, that was last Tuesday on CBS's The Talk. Julie Chen's husband is the President of CBS, Les Moonves. I'm sure if Julie wanted STEVIE on her show, her husband could convince WB.

So, we should add The Talk to the list! Annie Lennox has been on!

markolas 04-23-2011 05:07 PM

No clue who this Wendy woman is, but oh dear god, not The View!! What a bunch of shrill harpies. Stevie should never be in the same room with Elisabeth Hassebeck.

lol!! i really don't like Hasselbeck either! BUT.... who really cares what shows Stevie's on...as long as she's on a multitude of them outside ONLY late night and early morning??? I say the more Stevie on tv the better!! or am i alone in this??

APerfectLie 04-23-2011 05:22 PM

I've been tweeting Joy Behar for the past year that she needs Stevie on there! She better get her on there too!

Does anybody remember RuPaul. from VH1.

Also Nate's show.

mikebise 04-23-2011 07:03 PM

Ru mentioned STEVIE a few times last season on RuPaul's Drag Race.

I'm sure Nate would gush all over Stevie, totally queening out.

The best will still be AJ Hammer on Showbiz Tonight on CNN/HLN, also totally queening out on Stevie. He did a good interview with her in 2007. And he's SO good~looking!!!!!!

Yes, Oprah's Executive Producer tweeted "Your pleas have been heard...I hope to have good news to report to you soon". That was in March...obviously Stevie had not been booked yet.

Well they better act fast b/c time is waning. Less than 2 Weeks for the album and then her tour. After that Stevie is notorious for going into hiding. Unless this is truly her "Rumours' album as prev mentioned!

tbaker3 04-23-2011 09:17 PM

Stevie on Wendy would be the greatest! Surely this interview would not suck.

It would be so cute!! ;)

Nate is ummm... yummy! :]:]

I never saw Stevie on Showbiz tonight! Anyone have video of this?

michelej1 04-23-2011 11:43 PM

Since Rod was just on, I really think it would be easy to get Stevie on Piers.

The View is strange. Even though I don't think their audience is young and I know Barbara and her producer (Bill Geddy?) aren't young, sometimes they don't like to have older guests on the show. They once wouldn't let Judi Dench on, because they thought the movie she was in at that time (Mrs. Henderson Presents) skewed too old. So, they might not want Stevie. They are targeting a certain thirtysomething demographic.

Michele
