Whisper at beginning of "The Chain"...
Am I crazy or does someone whisper f*** in the very beginning of "The Chain"?
I was listening to it on my phone with headphones and it sounds like someone says f***, my guess is Lindsey, then sighs and begins to play. It's the studio CD version I believe. I'm sorry if this has been posted before, I did a couple searches but didn't find anything. I have been listening to this song non stop for months and this is the first time I noticed it. |
I always thought it was tape sound... not sure... but yeah it definitely could be someone saying something.

I don't hear the F-bomb on the vinyl copy I have, but I definitely do on the remastered CD I bought.

I hear an F. Definitely.

It's Lindsey's F bomb. Clear as day on headphone's

^Yep........

Haha that is funny. I can't believe I never noticed it before!

I first noticed it a couple years ago and was amazed that I hadn't heard it before. I agree that it's most likely Lindsey. It sounds like he's kind of sighing it - like he's annoyed with something or frustrated or whatever. I was so excited to have made such an interesting discovery when I first heard it

They also left in Christine's Hammond B3 "signal" -- a series of eight or ten sharp staccato jabs -- to the sound room that she was done recording the organ parts on "Oh Daddy." |

Thanks for filling us in. |
I always thought it was just a whisper, breathe. I'll listen carefully

Yes, definitely an F!!

Hhaha my guess was that it was either Lindsey or Christine....dropping the F bomb

It amused me, too

I have grown so used to the F-bomb, I have often thought he should whisper it at the begining of The Chain when they do it live!
Also, never knew about the signal form Christine, however, after just listening, picked up on it loud and clear. Love it, actually. |
Turn your balance all the way to the left - the f-bomb will come in loud and clear.
