Stevie's best hair
 

I love all the different hair that Stevie's given us through the years. What's everyone's favorite hair era? Use the album being promoted as a benchmark, rather than the actual year. Pictures are always fun too!

Oh goodness.

My favorite is probably Fleetwood Mac through Rumours, just that little shaggy Farrah-esque cut.

I also love her Tusk, Bella Donna, Mirage, and Wild Heart hair (Exempting the poodle doo and a few others)... so,I like everything up through Rock a Little really. After that it was pretty bad with a few exceptions in my opinion.. also, I liked her hair around The Dance. Which I realize is pretty much the same as it is now, but somehow it didn't seem so tired then and for some reason looks better to my eyes.

I think her hair looks pretty good from the shot angle. The face doesn't look like hers though. The cheekbones aren't shaped like hers really is. It's the wide-angled lens that distorts a bit.

I loved her hair in the Timespace era....so big and over the top. I saw her at a concert in Hollywood and you just knew it was Stevie...because of her ridiculously large hair...but I thought she rocked it.

Also anytime she has curls she looks good.

And anytime she has darker hair she looks good.

And anytime she.... She looks good!

Honestly? I think her current hair is her best. Majorly unpopular opinion, I realize.
She had some nice styles through the years (interspersed between the many, many clunkers), but I don't think any have done as much for her as this one. It takes years off! Imagine her with any more mature cut and she'd look a lot closer to her calendar age. My friends and I were saying this about her and Rod after we went to the MSG show--their hair keeps them looking like rock stars.

generally anytime in Stevie's Career really....there have been good and bad hair. I like these two....once from the rock a little era and the other one I think is around the time she shot the video for "sometimes it's a bitch"

I have wondered recently if she uses extensions or some type of hair pieces? Her hair is just so luxurious, is it all real?

Her hair just looks so fried and abused there! But I do adore the fact so many of us have differing tastes and views... keeps things interesting. Keeps us learning!

I for one like that colossal bun she had during the tusk era myself, although it did look like an edible pastry atop her head at times.

Wow, this is great photo, I´ve never seen it. That must be from some early concert of Behind The Mask tour, I love that era. As you all know, I´m big fan of big hair too.

I've never seen this either. What a nice pic! I like her hair with some curl and style to it, rather than just brushed straight and lifeless and boring. I never liked the Tusk bun either Louie and it's well known. But, I've said all era's of Stevie you have to love because they made her who she is today, so... But I actually liked the big rock hair years because to me she had some sort of style back then and put in a lot more effort. But I know a straightening iron takes some effort too. :rolleyes: so can't really argue there. She does have awesome hair still.

i hate that blue/green streak in her hair. so not needed.

I just saw it online and it didn't look familiar to me, but I have to admit that many times I forget what I've seen and what I haven't when it comes to photos. After awhile, it's just all a blur.

I love (and totally would love to have) her hair from the Bella Donna HBO video. Fluffy, yet also shiny. Totally love it.

I like her hair a lot for Mirage era too and into RAL (pre-tour).

I loved the Tusk bun. I know it's not popular, but I like poofy buns (not tight,"face lifting" no-bangs, librarian buns). But maybe I am just partial to it because I did a poofy bun often in my summers when I was younger, swimming a lot, and hot weather, it just felt good and was fun. I love her hair in all the Tusk promo photo shoots too.


Love it in the RAL videos too, and some cool hair in Tango era too, the videos, the promo pic where she's wearing her gold dust shawl with the group (with Lindsey in it too before he left).

I think my favorite hair was from her SNL appearence. My secret dream is that someday, someone will walk into the salon, hand me a folded up photograph of the hair they want, and when I open it it will be a still pic from her on SNL. I'd probably shriek like a tiny little baby girl.

I love her hair from 1975-1984 the most. My favourite Stevie hair is the hair she's rocking on the Midnight Special appearance, and I'm partial to the Bella Donna / Wild Heart era hair.

I have a secret man-crush on the Tusk Mega-Bun, it's so stupid, but only Stevie Nicks could rock that look. :laugh:

Rock A Little era was interesting, hair wise, it either looked fabulous, or like a piece of cottom candy mating with a cloud.

Did not like the Tusk Poodle, or the hair she has where she looks like Doris Roberts' sister/clone. Little Lies video = Hair just curly enough to be cool. Tango tour = Hair mated with sheep.

I love her normal look now though, it's so sophisticated. But, I like when she mixes it up a little, like the Soundstage curls; she looks gorgeous then.

However, I know this is just a trick, but I'd love it if her hair looked like this all the time. I don't know if it's just the black and white effect, but she looks years younger, and she looks really pretty; I can see the Bella Donna Stevie in her face here;

I love that you say her hair is "normal" for the soundstage preformance... Its only normal because thats what hair looks like now... if it were 1983 and she was rocking that hair, people would be like, "What's up with Stevie Nicks' hair?"

I totally dig that hair too. It was funky and had lots of drama and personality.

I actually like her hair here too and think it's cool. All it was was half put up, half down and crimpish sprayed to oblivion. I could do my hair like this too :laugh:, but I would never do the braids. I love her look here.

Mirage era through US Festival era - perfectly cut layers that looked HAAAAAWT whenever the slightest breeze was around - or she'd bounce. I LOVE the moment on the Mirage video when she creeps back onstage after the guitar solo in SOTM, with her hair freshly brushed and that blue light - she looks amazing - I want THAT hair!

I'd go TISL era. Think Stevie's hair during her performance of "Fall From Grace" with Sheryl Crow on the Blockbuster Awards.
