Where are you coming from? Webster Hall Role Call!

I thought it would be fun to start a separate thread so we can get a headcount of everyone attending the Webster Hall show...where you are coming from and if you are going solo or with someone! Sounds like there are A LOT of long distance travelers for this one :) Sooooo exciting!

I'm coming from Connecticut (by train) with my friend from Massachussetts! :D

daniellaaarisen 04-14-2011 10:26 PM

Seattle, Washington!

portiab44 04-14-2011 10:31 PM

SNicksed 04-14-2011 11:06 PM

Coming down alone on Amtrak from Albany. Wife came with me to MSG 3/26. Seeing Stevie once a year is enough for her.:shrug: Not sure if I'll be staying overnight yet, but cannot wait!

Hi! I've never posted here before, but I've been lurking a while and I've been a Stevie fan for a long time (anybody from the olden days of RMASN/AMFM here?) so I figured now is a good time to join in.

I'm coming to the Webster Hall show from within NYC. I'd love to hang if y'all will have me.

Crystal_Elle 04-15-2011 01:21 AM

Technically I'm coming from Nashville and Chicago. Due to ridiculous flight prices and the fact that airlines hate flying in and out of Nashville, I'm driving to Chicago (my hometown) and then flying to NYC. Oh and right now my mom is coming with me sadly. I have no other Stevie friends in real life. lol.

How much is that? I'm around Albany too, was planning on driving Wed morning, how far is the train station from Webster Hall? That might be a better way to go for us...

flickersticked 04-15-2011 06:17 AM

My husband and I are coming up from Maryland. It's his first Stevie show!

skimmy 04-15-2011 06:24 AM

I am coming from Bloomington, Indiana with my friend Bob... he is my dearest friend and thankfully a devoted Stevie fan like myself. We are (cliff dwellers from the) old school fans - and were brought together by Jean Enloe back in early 1986 - this is our 25th anniversary! What a way to celebrate!

We are staying at the Chelsea Hotel - would love to meet up with some of you! I haven't posted here much... but visit the Ledge multiple times a day... and have for the past several years! (Total lurker!)

Again, I would like to express how completely excited we are that we get to share this experience with fans that love Stevie the way we do... like I said before... the energy in Webster Hall on May 4th is going to be incredible...

See you in a couple of weeks!

Kimmy

Stephanie 04-15-2011 07:07 AM

Second row, section 3. The Rod fans in the front row were all sitting during Stevie's show. It was perfect! ;)

Using promo code V557, it came to $60 round trip per person. The train comes into Penn Station which is 33rd/34th Street and 7th/8th. You can take the 1 subway down to Union Square/14th St. and then walk from there. It also looks like you can walk over to Herald Square and pick up the N-Q-R train to Union Square/14th St. which will let you out a little closer. I've never used the N-Q-R train before.

The only problem is that the last train back to Albany that night is 10:50pm, so I am debating staying overnight.

I guess I would think about doing it, but I wouldn't know where to stay or how to get there

SapphireSister 04-15-2011 11:29 AM

Soooo jealous not only for the show but meeting all of you Ledgies! It's going to be a Stevie extravaganza! If the show had been on a weekend I probably could have swung it but not in the middle of the work week :(.

Please know I'll be there in spirit haunting you. Look for my pale shadow and listen for the sound of my voice...I might just pop in out of the darkness!

Where in Jersey are you? I'm either driving in or taking the Path from Hoboken.

I'm in Edgewater, which is a jump across the river just south of the GWB.

i live in newark. i work in midtown so i'm shooting over from work that evening. it's easier to crash at my bff's house than go back to jersey since i won't have to worry about getting up extra early to come back into the city. njtransit is absolutely horrible!

haha...i hear ya. Considering I physically live 2 miles from NYC, it takes me FOREVER to get there since there is no direct mass transit. Well, there is the ferry, but it only runs M-F on commuters hours.

I don't think i could ever be a commuter. I feel lost not knowing my car is out front.

Awesome you have a bff to crash at so close!

yeah transit is a hot damn mess. it's bad both ways actually.........relying on transit or tolls/park/traffic! either way we're screwed lol!

Yep, that's sounds about on par for NJ! HEHE. I actually have a reverse commute to work since I'm at the Clifton/Montclair/Little Falls border so getting to work is usually easy. Coming home.....that's another story. It takes one thing at the bridge or tunnel and it's easily an hour.
