Fleetwood Mac Movie
Just curious who do you guys think should play stevie, lindsey, mick, john, and chris if they were making a movie about them?
i think sienna miller should play stevie... stevie has said that if there was a movie on her life she would pick reese witherspoon...i think that would be a horrible choice! sienna looks very much like a younger stevie! even has the same kind of hippie style too! |
Reminds me of this post from Dlisted a while back, concerning Lindsey Lohan and her desire to be Stevie Nicks in a Fleetwood Mac movie.
"And since Blohan really wants to make the worst movie ever by casting herself as Stevie Nicks, she should go all the way! Heather Mills IS Christine McVie. Joaquin Phoenix IS Lindsey Buckingham. James Haven IS Mick Fleetwood (he has the crazy eyes). Billy Bob Thornton IS John McVie. I'll stop there before a pitchfork-wielding mob of Fleetwood Mac superfans storm my door." Michael K |
I think Cate Blanchet should be the ONLY PERSON considered to play Christine. She is absolutely & perfectly suited for that role!

If Brittany Murphy were still alive (:(), she would be a shoe-in for Stevie. She was petite, could both sing and act really well, had a really similar speaking voice to young Stevie, a very similar air abotu her, big dark brown eyes... unfortunately, that's no longer a possibility.
I have no idea who would play Stevie. For Lindsey, I always think of Jake Epstein because he reminds me of a less attractive Lindsey often, and he also plays guitar and sings. He's in the middle in the red shirt. As for anyone else I have no idea. |
Stevie Nicks - Reese Witherspoon or Charlize Theron
Christine McVie- Cate Blanchette Lindsey Buckingham- Mathew Morrison John McVie- Jude Law Mick Fleetwood- Jim Carey |
I always thought Matthew Lillard would have made a good Mick Fleetwood. He's only an inch shorter. If he can pull off a British accent, his goofiness/likeness would be perfect.

stevie - i'd pick alicia silverstone. where is she anyway? christine - cate blanchet ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY!!! lindsey - matthew morrison isn't a bad choice at all!!!! mick - JIM CAREY IS PERFECT!!! OMG!!! john - hmmmmmmm ummmmmmmmmmm damn i gotta think about that one!!! |
Lindsay Lohan is a FAR more fitting choice than Reese for '77-89 Stevie, and anyone who dissents is kidding themselves. If she could somehow be aged and brought in for '97 Stevie, then sure, I'm completely on board, but otherwise, Nicks is being a just a TOUCH too revisionist for my taste. I would have loved Brittany Murphy in the role, though; she's my absolute ideal. Rest in peace, beautiful.

...then we'll force Carrie Fisher to lose some weight so she can play "modern day" Stevie! ;)

STOP THE PRESSES!!!!!!
what about mila kunis!!!? she could rock stevie!!! and she knows ballet!!! awwwwwwwwwww shiiiiiiiit! |
Alicia Silverstone would actually be a really good Stevie, looks-wise. And I can't say I've seen her in anything other than Clueless but I'll just assume she's a decent enough actress. However, she's like 35 already so pretty soon she'll be too old for the part, unfortunately.
I know that Stevie and Reese are good friends, and that Reese was excellent in Walk The Line.... but I really think that this is an ill-fitted choice in all respects. I just don't think it... works, at all. In fact she's one of the last people I would pick. Edit, the depths of the internet took me to Mercedes McNab, http://starsmedia.ign.com/stars/imag...oxart_160w.jpg \http://i56.tinypic.com/14keal5.jpg |
My brother told me a while back that Rhys Ifans would make a good Mick Fleetwood. I think he's right.

Dianna Agron would be my choice for Stevie; I'd choose Elizabeth Banks to play Christine; and Daniel Radcliffe, roughed-up and aged a little would be my choice as John. I'm really struggling to find a Lindsey... Bradley Cooper bearded up maybe?? |
why is it just me that thinks sienna would make a rockin stevie??
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...nna-miller.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...33o3sq2lfd.jpg and i think kevin walker from brothers and sisters would make a good tusk era lindsey... http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/e...evinwalker.jpg |

I've said it before, Alison Lohman for Stevie:
http://i.imgur.com/eTw20.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/rzJZd.jpg I agree with Rhys Ifans for Mick and Cate Blanchett for Christine is just perfect, but please no Sienna Miller! That movie will lose all credibility, let's get a credible actress instead. And Matthew Morrison is way too ugly to be Lindsey (he could be Waddy, with a wig ) |
I can't think of anyone who could play Stevie. Reese's jawline and chin ruin it for her no matter how good an actress she might be for a Stevie part.
After studying Bradley Cooper, I think he could pull off a good Lindsey. I think it's in the eyes and certain features. http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../lindsey-1.jpg http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/...ley_cooper.jpg Whether short hair or long, I think Bradley looks good in both. I love his longer wavy hair from The Hangover. http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/...ey-cooper2.jpg (Someone on here rocks this same wavy hair and I love it) :) |

here are some ideas for Lindz.
Three fellas all with lovey blue eyes and naturally curly hair: Matt Bomer, James Marsden and Ian Sommerhalder. http://derekbishop.net/linsey.jpg |
My main physical criteria for Stevie is size. I really feel like whoever plays her kind of has to be short. Stevie was kind of the naughty child of the group early on--this tiny, goofy kid in enormous boots, trying to stand up to the others. It was so central to the visual impact, I think it has to come across in the film.
With that in mind... How about Kristen Bell for Stevie? I know she's made terrible film decisions of late, but anyone who saw Veronica Mars knows she's an incredible actress. She's also a great singer and dancer. Granted, the faces are completely different--KB's delicate features stand in sharp contrast to SN's doe-eyed, pouty-lipped, jutting-chinned look. Other than that, she'd be perfect! Or, Amanda Seyfriend? Also bitsy, and with colored contacts I think she could look quite like Stevie--she has the doe eyes, full lips, and sharper chin. She's also a good singer, though I don't think she could pull off a Stevie voice as well as KB could. Finally, Drew Barrymore. Granted, she's almost too old for the part already (36), but she does look younger. Not that petite (5'4''), but facially I think she resembles Stevie the most. Decent singer. And more than probably any other actress in Hollywood, she could work that Nicksian blend of charm and immaturity. But please, please not Sienna Miller! Did you see Factory Girl? Oh, to be able to unsee it! |

My vote goes to Bomer. |
James Marsden is so cute in his films. The Matt guy looks like he could be brothers with the other one though.
|
I've always thought Majandra Delfino would make an awesome Stevie Nicks.

Please, no Reese for Stevie. She's a southern girl and could pull of June Carter, but Stevie not so much. I think Alison Lohman is a good idea.
Christine -- Cate Blanchett is good. I can also see Joan Allen and Helen Mirren for "latter years." Geoffrey Rush would make a good older Mick. |
I think Reese would be a good choice to play Stevie - but only 90's-current Stevie, because she kind of has the same look going on with the hair & everything. For younger 70's Stevie , I'm not quite sure about that one...hmm
|
I have loved Reese ever since The Man in the Moon, and Freeway came out and just about every film she's been in since. She's total class and a great actress but PEOPLE, no matter how much makeup and hair they put on her, this face is never going to pull off playing a believable Stevie with that strong chin.

And I think Matthew Bomer is too "pretty boy" to be Lindsey, if that makes sense. |

Jim Carey and Geoffrey Rush as Mick are both GENIUS ideas. |
