Deluxe Version of In Your Dreams
There is no deluxe version of In Your Dreams with the movie. Does anyone know anything about it? I mean when is it going to be sold? Of course, I'm going to buy it.

What are you talking about?

You always hear these things out of the blue, like "Shadow Of My Shadow", that no one knows anything about.
Link us!!!! :) |
I don't remember hearing anything about a "deluxe" version.
As for the movie, Dave said something about wanting to show it at small, indie theaters in cities where Stevie would play a few days later. That may have been purely wishful thinking at that point, though. So who knows how/when we'll see the film. They could do what was done with the "Destiny Rules" doc and release it (either on VH1 or straight to DVD) some time after In Your Dreams is released. |

Link us!!!!! what? What the hell was he making a movie for and doing all that filming for. He made a Stevie Nicks movie. That little trailor can't be it. It's been talked about before, a deluxe version with the movie on it. Just because your friend likes to play games, doesn't mean I do. Nice try, but no cigar. |
I've not heard anything about a deluxe version. My guess is the trailer was made for not only the album, but what will probably be a separate DVD documentary about the making of the album.

LOL!!! Okay, that was a good one! Zing!

We have absolutely NO knowledge that Stevie's documentary is even finished. We know her music videos and the sizzle reel have been done for a couple of weeks and were turned over to Warner Bros. But we really have no definitive info on if the documentary is done, if it's actually going to be shown in theatres (my guess is that's just wishful thinking), or when or even if we'll ever get to buy it. Just remember how much longer after Say You Will was released that we finally got Destiny Rules. I really think people need to stop projecting their hopes and dreams as fact on this board. :wavey:

Speaking of insight someone just asked Dave if Stevie could do a track for the David Lynch Foundation and Dave just replied it would be hard at the moment. So guess that won't happen. @DaveStewart hey Stevie should do a track for @dlf_music too! I've painted her already http://t.co/h9ALnXD @vinylart @dlf_music will be hard at the moment I just wonder if that movie is in the can. I would love a deluxe version like Crystal Visions. |

Anyone know GoldDustOrphan, who originally posted the "call sheets" or whatever they were--maybe knows more.

Nobody ever said anything about a deluxe edition. Some sources close to Stevie said there may be a bonus track or two on itunes, which makes more sense in this day and age.
|
I think there will for sure be deluxe edition. There was a deluxe edition of Crystal Visions and one of The Soundstage Sessions. In fact, there were multiple deluxe editions of each. The physical deluxe editions and then the separate iTunes and Amazon deluxe editions with bonus tracks. I think with Soundstage you got Rhiannon and The One when you preordered the deluxe version from the Nicks Fix, Gold Dust Woman and Edge if you bought the whole album off of iTunes, and Enchanted if you bought it off Amazon. The thing is they are great ways to capitalize off of the fanbase. Also, vinyl is making a huge comeback, so I still think it will be released on vinyl too.

It was Dave Stewart who suggest the possibility that his cinematically-styled documentary might be packaged with the CD itself, or a special edition. But he is committed to finding a few boutique movie houses to book the film. He wants to see his own work on a big screen with an audience.
The four-day shoot took place the first week of January and was jam-packed with 8 set pieces for eight of the albums songs, but time was scheduled for Dave to photograph Stevie in daylight and at night, and he filmed interviews with Stevie in her own living room. Dave and Glen Ballard also have on camera interviews. At lot of what is shown in the trailer what shot as Stevie's house. Dave Stewart loves longform video, as evidenced by his video album for "Savage" that featured a video for every song on the album that maintained subtle unity. Here's a costume breakdown and some additional casting. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...stume01jpg.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...-27_073437.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...-27_074505.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...-27_073315.jpg and some production designer notes regarding specific songs. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...-27_002529.jpg |
^^^ interesting!
Thanks for sharing  |
Thanks for the costume info! I can't wait to see the whole project. I'm hoping it's on some kind of deluxe version (fingers crossed).

Thanks, GDO!!!!!!
Yeah, Dave outdid himself in 1987 with the Savage long form video... It's ok guys. Let's just discuss IYD.
|
There are now TWO LISTINGS for "IYD" on Amazon.com. The first being the listing that's been up for months now at $12.99. The second one is listed at $17.99, but doesn't have any info (tracklist, special features) listed. It is also to be released on May 3rd.
Could this possibly be the preliminary set up page for a Special Edition of the album? Maybe as the weeks go by, we'll get more info on this page as to what is included with this version? |

I didn't recognize the My Heart lyric at all when asked about it. That was a complete f-up on my part. I didn't recognize it from the demo either this week until it got to the chorus. |

It is on the original 16~track CD of TISL from September 2000. Here it is from the official Trouble In Shangri~la acetate: http://www.mediafire.com/?8u9ug9pr1t601w9 |

Not officially released. Stevie took off three tracks before the final release (May 1, 2001) of TISL ("My Heart", "Thrown Down" and "Touched By An Angel") and re~recorded "Bombay Sapphires".
All 16 songs were on a completed, mixed and mastered TISL CD given out to a select few at Stevie's September 2000 Benefit in Arizona. That's how "My Heart" and the TISL version of "Thrown Down" got circulated. Stevie gave away copies. |

Well, this information is probably embedded somewhere on the board, I just haven't seen it and don't want to have to read through the posts. I just saw this, and it case it's new news, I thought it might be of interest.
In Your Dreams Limited Fan Edition $24.99, which includes "My Heart." http://stevienicks.warnerreprise.com/ |
Oh and the deluxe version includes a frame-able 16" x20" lithograph picture of the CD cover.
