New Pic from IYD Album Cover shoot!

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k7...cjq0o1_500.jpg

SORRY its nothing huge in HiRes but its something... loving the less "touched up" face shot.. looking stunning Lady! :)
This IS from the "In Your Dreams" cover shoot right? not just someone messing with me- putting her (looks similar to the sheriff badge/red velvet background shot around Soundstages release)- put into the In Your Dreams cover background??? Thoughts???? either way the pic is nice and something new.

GODDESS6 03-10-2011 07:43 AM

love it, thanks for posting:thumbsup:~

Travis 03-10-2011 07:45 AM

Nice picture but man, Stevie's expressions could stand to be a little less stark.

MacMan 03-10-2011 08:02 AM

The photo of her is new, but it's been superimposed over the top of the new album cover.

WhiteDove1979 03-10-2011 08:10 AM

ahh ok- got it :(

GODDESS6 03-10-2011 08:26 AM

Beats me LOL. They look like from the same shoot but wasn't this shoot in 2009? Or 2007? I forget. If so then they aren't "new" new photos, they are just "new" for the CD. Who knows.

Well what is the source for this? I thought it was a fan-made chop of an old photoshoot with the cover's flare-background.

I have no idea TrueFaith - but the original poster says it was a new pic from the IYD photo shoot, which sounds like it is "new", but it doesn't look "new" to me, but I don't know for sure.

Where did this pic come from Kristin?

It looks new to me.

WhiteDove1979 03-10-2011 10:41 AM

Hi Jk. the pic came from a tumblr thread I', on/following.. someone posted it and I was blown away just happy to see a "new" pic from the In Your Dreams cover shoot - or so I hoped/thought?

jkmaletic 03-10-2011 10:53 AM

Well, let's hope it is!

I think the photo of her in this pose is new, or newly surfaced. It could be a couple of years old for all we know, or it could be recent... It doesn't look like it's from the red velvet background shoot as her hair is wavy in those... her hair is more straight here. The sheriff badge doesn't look like it's on this hat, and yes, the brim of the hat doesn't look like it comes to a point, so the hat is different... The image, whether new or a couple of years old, is placed directly over the glare, or sunspot on the new album.

This looks to me like it could be the back cover of the album. That space to the left that is empty looks like the perfect place to put a track listing. I love this picture also I think it looks beautiful I will never get tired of seeing her in a top hat

Pyewacket 03-10-2011 12:54 PM

I prefer this to the horse shot...there's a lot more personality in this one (look at the ever-so-slightly upcurve at the edge of her lips).
And she looks fantastic and a little photoshopped, but...regal, like she's her own age. Girl, you've earned your lines, so keep 'em.

Jondalar 03-10-2011 01:03 PM

I'm glad they used the other shot, but this is nice. There is a whispiness to her hair and her eyes stand out. However, in a way she looks plastic and she is still photoshopped people, like everyone else.

Phoenix 03-10-2011 01:24 PM

Seriously though can anyone else see this is being the perfect back of the album with the track listing on the left?

Sure, that could work. It fits with the back cover. She looks stunning. I was hoping for something more creative though.

Yes, I can see this being used on the back cover, or in the CD booklet. Very beautiful picture :) (though I always expect nothing less from Stevie).
Looks new to me, though I agree, it is reminiscent of some of her other photos. I still prefer the album cover. But honestly It's looking like we're all in store for some fantastic pictures and images from this project. Hopefully something for everyone to appreciate.

DefDumbandBlond 03-10-2011 01:36 PM

So gorgeous! It honestly looks more recent to me.

That is exactly what I'm thinking. I cannot wait for more art to drop. They are going all-out for this album. I remember when TOSOTM and Street Angel came out. I thought they looked cheap. Not so with TISL or this album. I'm getting excited. Everyone is putting their best foot forward.

Tango 03-10-2011 01:40 PM

Thanks for posting the photo. I'd like to see this slight smile on the cover with the horse.

Yes, I actually think the horse photo captures more of her personality. She may look pouty there, but that is an aspect of Stevie, whereas a blank, wide stare is less Stevie-like.

The eyes seem a little off and glazed here. But I agree with those who say it would be a good photo for the back of the album.

That photo is new, and a promo for IYD as it has been lifted from the Hard Rock Calling website to announce her UK gig in support of Rod Stewart, here's the link:

TerraRhiannon 03-10-2011 03:58 PM

Beautiful :') Looks a lot more like her than the album cover, but I can tell the chin is still heavily edited. Oh well, it's a lot better all together. What a gorgeous thang she is

During her hugely sucessful solo career, Stevie has had forty Top 50 hits and sold over 140 million albums.

Maybe w0rldwide? That's a lot! I'm less inclined to believe she's had 40 top 50 hits.

WildHearted 03-10-2011 04:18 PM

They also referred to her as 'Multi-Grammy Winning'...

I know she's been nominated numerous times, but I thought the only one ever actually WON was for Rumours?

At first glance I thought the same thing. It looks almost like the same shoot as this but the only throw off is the hair is different. A lovely new photo though and I like this one over the cover.

She won TWO Grammys for Rumours tho. One as an artist and one as a producer. Granted it isn't two different categories, but technically she did win two Grammys, so that is why so many people refer to her as such.

As with anything else: There are lies. There are statistics. There is the truth. I suspect they are taking into account every single that ever climbed any chart in the U.S., which means some singles would be counted twice, i.e., Hot 100 and Top Rock Tracks. But there is definitely an extra "0" tacked onto the "14" in terms of the number of albums sold. There is simply no frackin' way.

RockAlot 03-10-2011 05:24 PM

I knew my fellow Ledige's would get to the bottom of this!!

Would make a very nice backing to the CD!!

I think u are right. But Stevie has too toot her own horn right now. It's sell yourself time!!! And she is good at it. She hasn't had a true top 40 since 1989 and she''s managed to reach legendary status. She's a good salesperson.
