New Glee Interview About Landslide

Anyone seen this yet?

louielouie2000 03-07-2011 07:07 PM

I haven't seen that. Wow... she just called herself an old woman!

I have to say, Stevie's overwhelming gushing love for Glee is a bit puzzling to me... but then again, I just don't get the show in the first place.

silvasprings 03-07-2011 07:10 PM

Thanks for posting that! I really enjoyed that, I love how positive she's being in interviews at the moment. I thought maybe she laid it on a bit thick about "every song that glee has ever covered has been amazing" - I personally don't like the Landslide that they did, but if she's happy with it then that's great! And she might even gather some new fans from this performance.

Artemis 03-07-2011 07:10 PM

I loved that. She's a bit OTT in her love for Glee, I love the show, but it's not 100% perfect like she makes out.

I love her describing the cast as "these really brilliant little people" I don't know why, but it made me giggle like a schoolgirl

TakenByTheSky23 03-07-2011 07:12 PM

I, myself, have never seen Glee, so I can't take a point of view on it. I think I choose to stay away because I know that I'll get hooked and I don't need another vice in my life. And I'm referring to TV show vices - not gold dust. :)

As for her memory of how she wrote Landslide, she was visiting these people in Aspen and she asked to just sit and gaze out the window so that she could write, to which they said "sure" and left? I thought that she was housesitting! Didn't she say this before? Oh, Stevie and your sieve of a memory...

APerfectLie 03-07-2011 07:13 PM

Ugh, she looks really good in the interview. So WHY didn't she make a cameo!? Grrr.

TakenByTheSky23 03-07-2011 07:13 PM

Also, she refers to the kids in the cast as her "little song-children." I bet you Vanessa Carlton is pissed now...

RockALittle250 03-07-2011 07:17 PM

Great find! Is it me, or does her face and neck look really thin in this interview...it's as if her neck appears longer.

No. I hadn't seen it. Thanks for sharing. For as ditzy as I think she is sometimes, she's just as brilliant other times. It must be the Gemini in her. Yes, I do think that if Stevie were not a rock and roll star, she would have made a damn good teacher.

She's definitely lost a good deal of weight the past couple of years, and it's definitely altered her appearance. I'm guessing it's because she's fully come out of the other side of menopause. Her appearance has definitely changed pretty rapidly in the past few years, and I don't think it has anything to do with plastic surgery at all.

I agree. I think she looks better now, then 10 years ago. She wasn't exactly fat, but she looked kinda swelled in the sorcerer video. She looks really good now, like she is happy in her own skin. And I love listening to her voice. It's got a little Lauren Becall to it and it just sounds lived in, like a creature from middle-earth. Older and wise. BTW I don't think she has had plastic surgery. She's aging naturally and in a healthy way. SHE SEEMS HAPPY!

SapphireSister 03-07-2011 07:39 PM

My God, she looks gorgeous but her face looks especially thin. Should I be worried? It's probably just her make-up and shadow but I still like her with a bit of a fuller face.

SapphireSister 03-07-2011 07:42 PM

Does anybody know when this was recorded and if it was before or after the Sunset Sessions 2 weeks ago? I SWEAR she is wearing the earings I gave her there but can't be sure.

Here is a picture? Do you think it could be them?

This is another really good interview. It just bugs the hell out of me that they wouldn't put her on her the show. I don't like them because of it.

The lighting was terrible... it accentuated the worst aspects of her appearance. I think the camera was a bit wonky, too... it appeared to stretch her vertically slightly.

It's not the best angle for her. It makes her look like a little bobble-head, as well as accentuating the sagging skin around her jaw line. She needs to be shot at eye level or below and needs direct lighting.

SapphireSister 03-07-2011 07:57 PM

OMG "my last day on this earth"? How could you even say that, Stevie!? :(

Yes, I realize she is not immortal people! I'm just sensitive bout' our girl.

Don't worry Lindsay. She still has 33 years to live. In some long ago interview she said, "when we're 95 and die..."

Whew, thank goodness!

MacMan 03-07-2011 08:21 PM

She looks good... A little older, but that's alright!

I'm surprised she allowed herself to be filmed given that she's said in a few of the last interviews that she doesn't like to be filmed or photographed.

Agreed. Her face isn't quite as youthful as it was a few years ago because a lot of the fat isn't there. I think she looks beautiful, though.

TerraRhiannon 03-07-2011 09:52 PM

She had nice earrings in ^_^
& I don't get how she likes Glee so much either. I can't stand them, really. After hearing them destroy 'Alone' & now 'Landslide,' I'm done. The only thing worth listening to that they've ever done is Jessie's Girl. How can Stevie not be a little bummed that they covered the Dixie Chicks' version, & not the Fleetwood Mac version. Weird.

J.Miller 03-08-2011 12:45 AM

Go Stevie!!!

Stevie seems so at ease and confident here. If the ''product'' is as good as some people are saying, we may very well be in for one hell of a ride.

EnchantedKiwi 03-08-2011 01:01 AM

I really enjoyed what she had to say about writing Landslide. I get kind of sick of thinking Stevie's just talking airy-fairy nonsense about her songs over and over again, but I feel like I've gained a new kind of respect for her after watching this, it's weird lol.

Stevie Interview- Glee

Hey all:

Came across this:

Nice little interview. On a side note, is it just me, or does Stevie look a bit different? It's like her face looks thinner or something.

...you never thought it could!

WildHearted 03-19-2011 09:34 AM

Her face does look thinner. I think also the camera angle makes her look a little different.... almost a little unlike herself tbh.

I really like this interview, but it's kind of funny that they edited the questions out - you just have to assume what they asked based on the answers she gives lol.

Josh2003 03-19-2011 09:37 AM

Ha...funny you posted this, as I found myself watching it again last night.

I think she does look different...she looks old! Not in a bad way, but I think this is one of the first times I've seen Stevie actually looking like a woman in her early 60s.

Yeah, I think that goes right along with the 'face looking thinner' thing... the loss of fat in the face makes wrinkles/sagging/aging in general a lot more apparent.

Yeah it's all about the age thing as we get older... and none of us will be immune. She looks so good though and even better than she did on this past Ellen appearance I think. I want to look that good over 60.

JamieK 03-19-2011 10:50 AM

Yes, thinnner, tighter and as she wanted the "work" to turn out, not a characture of her real self ... just a more beautiful, older woman...the neck and temple work are especially nice. Hopefully if she does laugh, the smile won't be too tight :) Love her more every time I see her!

fringed n fab 03-19-2011 10:55 AM

I do agree about having some bit of chubbiness in the face when you're older, it really is like natures filler  And works for thicker stars like Kirstie Alley who can look really pretty when she wants to and for her age.

Yup--a little layer of fat under your skin fills in wrinkles. On the other hand, fat can give an impression of age too.
There's that old saying about a woman having to choose between her face and her ass as she gets older. A little layer of fat under your skin fills in wrinkles. Sophie's choice.

Stevie looks lovely, though.

I agree with you louie but she is business so I am thinking too that she is playing it up about the show so they would play her music on there show. To me the show is cheezy if it last another year I would be suprised its a show its cool for a bit then it will get very stale and stupid not a big fan of the show either. But its cool they are getting exposure and would be cool to see them do a new song from her new cd too.

fringed n fab 03-20-2011 01:37 PM

I've watched like 5 minutes of Glee before turning the channel.

That link brings us back to the original post in this thread. I'm looking for the duplicate thread to merge them- anyone?

I think they've already been merged, hence the confusion about the link.
