Favorite Christine song from Tango in the Night

Time to vote, Ledgies...:wavey:

Everywhere, Little Lies, Isn't It Midnight, and Mystified are your choices. You and I Part II goes to Lindsey...

I think this will be a very tight battle! Poll closes in 4 days on Sunday.

TerraRhiannon 11-03-2010 03:19 PM

This is so hard :( Will have to sit with it for a while. I'll probably end up putting Little Lies, Everywhere and Isn't It Midnight in a hat and drawing. I'm actually too lazy to do this, but it's a thought on how to resolve my conflict ;) They are all amazing songs on Christine's part,

bluefox4000 11-03-2010 03:24 PM

Isn't It Midnight. I love the drive behind this song.

Mick

nailatixela 11-03-2010 03:26 PM

Can't decide... Little Lies or Isn't It Midnight? I love them both.

TrueFaith77 11-03-2010 03:29 PM

Isn't It Midnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a thrill that song is!!!!

ButterCookie 11-03-2010 03:38 PM

I had to go for Everywhere. It was a tough call but it's my favourite off the *released* TITN

louielouie2000 11-03-2010 03:39 PM

While I love Mystified, I had to go for Isn't It Midnight. There's just a vein of energy to that one... it gets me pumped up, and I like it! :D

Artemis 11-03-2010 03:52 PM

Since Isn't It Midnight is getting so much love, I threw Little Lies it's first vote! Both are excellent songs.

TerraRhiannon 11-03-2010 04:24 PM

Okay, after going away and coming back I realized 'Everywhere' is deserving of my vote, hands down. The Dance version is amazing and just makes me happy.

Silver Springs 11-03-2010 04:57 PM

A tough question for an amazing album. In the end I had to go for the classic; Little Lies.

chiliD 11-03-2010 05:05 PM

I'm a guitar player. "Isn't It Midnight" has Lindsey's best guitar solo on a studio recording. Nuff said.

CreepingDeath 11-03-2010 05:17 PM

Little Lies

I absolutely adore Christine on this album, though. All of her songs are worthy winners.

Villavic 11-03-2010 05:46 PM

I like a lot these polls! whatever the results are..

I agree, I think Christine was the mac member wo really shines in TITN, though Lindsey production skills were better than ever (with Dashut of course), but.. Chris songs were the jewel singles.

And after saying that I immediately recall Mick's book about the episode when Lindsey quits... August 7, 1987:

Lindsey apologised. "Look, I'm sorry. I just can't do any more. I've given twelve years of my life to this band! I've done it all arranged, produced, played guitar, sang. I just can't . . . hack it . . . and do it all anymore."

Christine spoke now. "What do you mean, Lindsey, do it all?" Her tone was withering. It was her singles, after all, that got played on the radio, not Lindsey's.

Well Big Love and 7Wonders were played too, but I agree Chris hits were the best this time!

MissLadyLoki 11-03-2010 07:30 PM

Grrrrrr! I was torn between Everywhere, Little Lies, and Isn't It Midnight. They're all such good songs, among Chris's best IMO, but Little Lies edged out by a tiny bit.

michelej1 11-03-2010 09:35 PM

I was no fan of the Cage tour, but Isn't It Midnight sounded fantastic live.

Isn't it Midnight!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best tracks on the album.

I thought the Shakin' The Cage tour was the best one I'd ever seen up to that time. With the exception of once again ignoring any Bob Welch material, they expanded the pallette of Fleetwood Mac's repetoire. They actually acknowledged that Fleetwood Mac did, in fact, exist before 1975.

But, that doesn't change the fact that "Isn't It Midnight" was awesome live. (Rick took Lindsey's awesome studio solo and raised the bar a few notches)

Matthew 11-04-2010 11:35 AM

I grew up with Little Lies, that´s my kind of first "meeting" with Fleetwood Mac. Nice song, and mostly the only one which is playing here in czech radio stations:D.

But Everywhere is very very near on the second place.

AncientQueen 11-04-2010 01:24 PM

I clicked for Isn't it Midnight, the version on the Box set sounds even better for me, but the Tango version is very, very good, too. Little Lies is totally random background noise for me, it still plays in warehouses, elevators and background radios far to often.

Mystified will alway be the top entry on my worst FM song of all time list. Nothing can be worse.

I have a list as long as my arm of FM songs MUCH worse than Mystified

Welcome To The Room Sara
I'm So Afraid
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You
Go Insane
Dreamin' the Dream
Oh Diane
Empire State
Family Man
When I see You Again

Shall I go on?

I had the same tough choice... Midnight has such a pumping driven beat... and her voice is pretty amazing on it...

Gailh 11-04-2010 03:23 PM

Isn't it Midnight

all her songs are strong on Tango but that is the stand out track for me

The Second Time

Running Through The Garden
Silver Girl
When You Say
(I'm A) Roadrunner
Not That Funny (studio version)

That's 7 just off the top of my head in 10 seconds.

I'm gonna follow in Georgie and Steve's steps and fire off a few myself

Welcome to the Room Sara
When I See You Again
Not That Funny (studio version)
Never Make Me Cry
Warm Ways
Empire State
Oh Diane
Family Man
Only Over You
I'm So Afraid (studio version)

That was what I could think of right now, not counting solo work

I just never cared for that song, but Chris has plenty of other great songs, such as pretty much every song of hers on Mystery to Me (I just heard it recently for the first time and I can see exactly why that's your favorite FM lineup)

The first part of this concerns me greatly, the second part makes me do a silly impression of this guy :blob1: YAY for MTM FM

Like I said, just an opinion, but that doesn't mean that Chris isn't one of my favorite rocker chicks anymore ;)

Yeah, I hit the wrong quote.. sorry viva.. I know you love Go Insane.. lol

Its a toss up between Little Lies and Isn't It Midnight, for me

Ah, I didn't say it sucked, I was just saying that I think Warm Ways is a much better song than it. The screamy vocals do annoy me, though.

bellagypsy79 11-05-2010 08:41 AM

I have the original remix version of it with additional vocals from Stevie at towards the end of the song. I love how it was remixed. I love listening to it "everywhere". LOL! I love Christine's work on "Tango In The Night". It was what I would call a "happy album". The sound of the music, melodies, and vocals...it just made the album seem so alive. Little Lies is my favorite, but "Everywhere" gave the album a lot of sunshine I would say. LOL! It's a great record.

MacShadowsBall 11-06-2010 01:15 PM

This one is tough!! For me its between Little Lies and Isn't It Midnight. I guess I'll go with Isn't It Midnight...one of Christine's few "rock out" songs.
