Stevie's favourite song?
This has been something I've been thinking about recently. What do you think is Stevie's favourite song out of everything she's ever wrote?
I would have guessed at Rhiannon or Dreams, although, isn't she like, totally in love with Touched By An Angel? I still need to hear that song :( |
Considering the fact that she cries every/nearly every time she performs HAEWAFY?, I believe that it touches her very deeply and speaks alot of herself. So personally I like to believe it's this one. At least I hope so, because it's mine for that exact reason lol.

she says every song is her favorite.
at one time i thought she said how still my love was her favorite. then she said dreams was her favorite because it was fleetwood mac's only #1 hit. i've heard her say some other ones are her favorite as well, so who knows. |

I read on an interview once that in her opinion the best lyrics she ever wrote were in Storms (I gotta agree with that one ) and I know Rhiannon is very near and dear to her heart (she refused to have it released as a single at first cause she didn't wanna see it fail).

Like Cassie said, she's also mentioned Storms was her best lyrically. I suspect she has different favorites for different reasons. :) |
Sara was my favorite [song] ~ for that kind of song. Sara was, and is, the love of my life. There are different kinds of favorites. You have your miserable favorites and your happy favorites. I can't pick just one [song].

Rhiannon. Or as some dipshi&s might spell it, Rihanna.

I really like the song too. Listening to it again might have made it my favorite song of the week :) |
She doesn't have a favorite because her songs are like her children (according to Stevie herself) and you can't pick a favorite child!
Given that information my answer to this question is that it probably changes over time and changes frequently and I'm sure she likes some more than others. I'm also sure she associates some songs with good memories and some with not so good memories but more likely than not every one of them represents something significant in her life, even Jane! |

"I happen to really like that song…and I love singing that song with Lindsey because that was one of our Everly Brothers singing things that was really close and tight and really fun to sing…so if [Silver Springs] was going to be replaced with anything, [I Don’t Want To Know] was a good replacement." But it's still the redheaded bastard stepchild of Rumours as far as most people, and apparently the band, are concerned. |

.. . . .. . . . .. . . . . . . . . ROFL! Only kidding :p XD XD I could understand why IDWK could be considered a kind of outcast of the album though. There's something about it which doesn't sit so comfortably with me. Maybe because it sounds like it was written in five minutes. Don't get me wrong, I still like it very much. It's just so simple. |

Granted it was used for the Sweet November soundtrack, but that shouldn't have prevented its inclusion on TISL, as well. Swap it out for "Too Far From Texas" and TISL would've been the absolute PERFECT Stevie Nicks album. |

IDWK is a simple little ditty, but I really, really enjoy it too. I agree it doesn't quite fit with the rest of the songs, but that could just be us knowing that it wasn't originally going to be there. As far as it seeming to be written in five minutes, Stevie seems to write some of her best songs in the five to ten minute range. Landslide, Rhiannon, Dreams... |

I reckon that her favorite song is Storms, or some other emotional song that collecting dust inside her vault... deep in the Arizonian desert.

In the last two years, whenever I bust out TISL, I will listen to it all the way through, and I've got to say, TFFT has grown on me. I find myself singing a third harmony to the chorus and the bridge. It took awhile, but I kinda like it now. "Love Changes" will NEVER grow on me! Eck! |
To me when I first listened to TISL, TFFT sounded kind of out of place and extremely country compared to the others. I liked it though. And love changes is one of my favs! Hehe, to me it is Its Only Love that I always skip :p

I don't agree that it has no meaning. I derive meaning from it, but I definitely think she thinks of it as light and simplistic, regardless of how effortlessly and successfully their vocals blended on it. Michele |
