Tusk Album - Winners Battle
 

Good Morning Ledgies! :wavey:

Let's get the battle going for the winner for Tusk. It is "Tusk" vs "Brown Eyes" vs "Sara". Let the battle begin...:cool:

Have to go with Sara. Lovely tune. Also I'm not really big on the other 2.

I was absolutely torn up between all 3 :eek:, but since I was in a Stevie mood, Sara got my vote :cool:

Sara got my vote. Brown Eyes is lovely, and Tusk is a work of inspired genius, but, Sara is one of the best songs Fleetwood Mac every recorded.

The reason I voted for Brown Eyes:

Tusk and Sara were singles. One time in 1981 when I sat down to introduce the Tusk album to someone, I wanted to play him a track that best represented the album. He was already familiar with the three singles which also included Think About Me.

So I played Brown Eyes for him.

I voted for Tusk, because it's the most fun and freeform of all the songs on the album. I love how in each live recreation of the song, something new and different is added to it or changed about it to freshen it up. It's as close as you're likely to get to music in art form.

Really disapointing choices from Chris and Stevie. Lindsey got my vote here.

I picked my fav, and the one that will undoubtedly end up at the bottom of the pile: Brown Eyes. Go Brown Eyes!! :woohoo:

I had to go with my favorite song and that is "Sara". I'm sorry Lindsey, I'm sorry Chris, but only one can triumph! hahahaha

This one isn't even close: Sara.

I chose Brown Eyes but it was a close call between that and Tusk. Sara bores me half to death.

I voted for 'Tusk'. I wish better choices by Chris and Stevie had made it to the final vote.

I picked Sara but I do love Brown Eyes. I think that the Tusk version thats the best is the longer version on the box set released in 92. Thats IMO anyway....:thumbsup:

I can't believe this. Stevie and Lindsey freak that I am and I voted for Brown Eyes. LOL!

Went with "Brown Eyes" but love "Tusk" and "Sara" almost as much. Of the three songs, "Tusk" is the most iconic, but "Brown Eyes" and "Sara" are fine examples of the band's studio production values at that time.

When I think of it, all three of these songs are pretty darn original.

The album version of 'Sara' is one of the most amazing things Lindsey has ever produced.

Tie between Sara and Tusk for me, I love them both so much but I wound up picking Tusk. :D

This one isn't even close. Brown Eyes! One of the Mac's sexiest songs.
