Stevie Fanart
Some artists are just better than others. A quick search on DeviantArt reveals the good, the bad, and the ugly of Stevie fanart. I thought we could share some of the awesome stuff we've come across, as well as some of the horrors. And perhaps some of our own work too.
Huh, my cats don't do that. Stevie Nicks Kitty by *RainyDaySunflower on deviantART Alice in Wonderland/Labyrinth/classic rock crossover! Jareths Sentence Crossover1 by *Aiijuin on deviantART And now for my own disaster! I haven't done any artwork in a few years, but one day recently I just sat down with a picture of Stevie and got to work with some oil pastels. It's not really finished (I don't know that I will finish it at all), but I'm pretty happy with it so far. At least it looks sort of like her. Sister of the Moon by ~TheDancingCow on deviantART |
Wow, that's very good considering you haven't done any art for a while. You've got the mouth spot on! I'm also impressed because I always find oil pastels so difficult to use! I tend to keep it simple and stick to pen and pencils, hehe :)

Here's a description for a portrait that never was. I lived in Pittsburgh all through the 90's and there was this artist who drew really amazing portraits in an entertainment complex called Station Square. And if you would bring a photo of a celebrity you wanted your portrait done with he would do it like they were right there with you. Cute, if not a little weird. Well, it was during the Street Angel years and every time I walked by his little stand I had this idea to bring in the I Can't Wait 12" cover, which was an image of her singing into her famous square microphone from the video, and I was going to have him sketch us both eating Twinkies together. Just to be funny.
Years later when I saw the Behind the Music episode where Stevie was talking about how upset she was when everyone was making fun of her post cocaine, klonopin induced weight gain I felt just awful about that and was really glad I'd never had it actually made. I can't believe I just shared that with you. I'm sure you all think less of me now. :blob2: |
All these paintings are amazing O.o Soo amazing :D
Like 2 years ago, I used to draw portraits of Stevie. I'm always amazed how Stevie inspires so much creativity. I've always loved all types of music in general from as long as I can remember, but it was especially my love for Stevie's music and writings that inspired me to pick up a guitar and teach myself to play and write a bit. And I too (about 20+ years ago) grabbed some charcoal pencils and was driven to draw Stevie's image on paper during the RAl era. I should dig them out. Anyway, I really love these. Very cool. Thanks for sharing everyone.
