Stevie wrote Silver Springs for the Rumors album, which topped the charts for months in the 1970's. Unfortunately, Mick Fleetwood did not include Silver Springs on the album, which caused a long-term rift.Stevie had written the song for her mother and given her the rights

.It was not until the hugely successful Fleetwood Mac Reunion tour in 1997 that the song was released, and it became an instant top hit.Stevie wrote the song about her relationship with Lindsey Buckingham, letting him know, you will hear me on the radio and never forget me.

Since reopening, Stevie hugged the store manager and said, "Thank you for making my mother's dream come true." The store is currently run by the Nicks family. Stevie's Nick's mother Barbara, now 82, has owned her antique shop for well over 30 years. She loves antiques because she stated, "They are history...I have things owned by my grandmother. These things were important to them, and so they are important to me. I have only Stevie and Chris (her children)." In essense, she is leaving the antiques to her store.

Barbara began loving antiques when she got her first SHIRLEY TEMPLE doll. She then began collecting antique dolls, then china and antique figurines. Her love for antiques grew, and she has been collecting a vast array of antiques and collectibles for 40 years now.

Antiques are becoming even more popular, as people realize their value increases. The television show, “The Antique Roadshow”, has brought a lot of attention to antique collection. People collect all types of antiques. Currently, antique furniture is the most popular collectible. The store has just added room for antique furniture.

Silver Spring Emporium also has a small collection of products with Stevie Nick’s autograph. FANS of STEVIE and FLEETWOOD MAC should note, Stevie, unfortunately will not be signing autographs any longer unless her fans meet her personally. This is due to nonfans buying her autograph to sell on eBay and various sites to make a profit. Stevie Nick's mother is loved by fans around the world. Many fans have meet Barbara Nicks or talked to her on the phone, as she ran her store for many years. Others have met her at concerts. News aside, what a piss poor press release. While I'd give it a B+ if it was written by a 10th grade AP English student, its too bad Minette Nicks- who wrote or at the very least approved this release- thinks its "Stevie Nick's" and "Cheryl Crow" and "Rumors".

BTW, if Stevie's mother & cousin are unaware of the Santa Barbara gig that was announced earlier this week, are we sure if Stevie even knows?

I stumbled on Mom's store website couple weeks ago.I'm on the mailing list.I watched the video with her cousin showing around the shop.Will I have to agree with Stevie on stop selling autographed stuff at moms store because of those scumbag dealers on Ebay.Some day soon I have to take a trip to see it.

Scottsdale store offers Stevie Nicks' memorabilia

People travel from as far away as Canada, Midwestern states and New York to peruse and purchase the memorabilia of rock and roll royalty Stevie Nicks.

But all Scottsdale residents need to do is drive across the street from the Hotel Valley Ho to a three-bedroom house built in the '50s.

The Silver Spring Emporium is owned by Nicks' mother, Barbara, and run by her cousin, Minette Nicks Lebrecht.

The cottage-like antique shop has a long history in Scottsdale, although its grand reopening was just in November.

Nicks Lebrecht, a former bank manager and accountant, grew up with Nicks in Phoenix and her family later followed Stevie's family to California. Nicks Lebrecht returned to Arizona in the '80s.

SHOP'S HISTORY: The shop operated next door to where it is now 25 years ago. Barbara Nicks then moved the shop to Payson. It operated there for 11 years and then all of the items went into storage until eight months ago. The shop items have been collected by Barbara Nicks, who is 82, and living in Paradise Valley.

THE NAME: The store's name comes from a song Stevie Nicks wrote for the "Rumours" album, although the song was not included in the album. This caused a long-term rift between Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood. The song did not reappear until the Reunion Tour in 1997. Stevie Nicks wrote the song about her relationship with band member Lindsey Buckingham. The song was to let him know he would hear her on the radio and never forget her.

INVENTORY: Dolls, glassware, military pins, furniture, jewelry and vintage clothing fill every inch of the store. The emporium also has a small, but prominently displayed, collection of memorabilia of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac.

ABOUT ANTIQUE SHOPPERS: About half the people who come to the shop are fans of Stevie Nicks, Nicks Lebrecht said. Others come looking for a specific item to add to their collection, such as a Hummel, doll or china to complete a set. "I had no idea the number of people who had a specific item in mind and would come into the store looking only for that one item," Nicks Lebrecht said.
