http://www.handbag.com/fashion/celeb...hion-2/gallery Folk tales Posted by Leisa Barnett on 07/06/2010 Just hearing the name Stevie Nicks invokes images of a freewheeling age: suede platforms, fringed shawls, draped lace, desert sun. Google her and, alongside details of her prolific musical legacy (with Fleetwood Mac and beyond), what you'll find is page after page written on her style. Little wonder, when you consider that her ethereal look - part gypsy, part hippie, part Dickensian dandy - defined a generation. A Nicks classic performed live just isn't the same without the lady herself swirling and wheeling about the stage in a trademark shawl. She even wears them in certain colours for certain songs: red for Sara, gold for Gold Dust Woman, and so on. Her easy, breezy style is in keeping with the pop edge she famously brought to Fleetwood Mac on joining the established band with then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham in 1975. Even though her personal life has been marred by failed romances, drug abuse, weight issues and in-fighting within the group, Nicks' personal style has remained a constant. "I'm an extremely modest woman," she said in a 2008 interview with Foam Magazine. "I guess you can probably see it through my clothes all down through the years with my long chiffon skirts and my big wispy sleeves. I always looked at it like, people wondering what was under all that was much sexier than having all that out there." With festival season upon us, you could do worse than to look to Nicks' penchant for billowy silhouettes, psychedelic prints, a neat line in denim and anything edged with a swingy fringe to perfect your summer style. Click on for your Nicks fix, and see just why Stevie's our fashion favourite this month. Style Icon, November 5, 2010
http://topfashions.org/fashion/style...vie-nicks.html Style Icon: Stevie Nicks Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks has been called many things in her life—singer, songwriter, enchantress, bohemian, gypsy, rock legend, the Gold Dust Woman, to name just a few—but here at Mama’s A Rolling Stone, there is only one title that comes to mind when we think of Stevie: style icon. After all, for years now, Stevie has been turning heads and inspiring burgeoning fashionistas with her whimsical sense of style and vintage gypsy aesthetic. And that, dear readers, is exactly why Stevie Nicks is the perfect subject for today’s Style Icon story! On that note, we suggest your crank up your Fleetwood Mac tunes, sit back and get inspired by Stevie Nicks: Gold Dust Woman and true style icon. 1. Bow Beret ($16) from Topshop Stevie wore many hats in her heyday, from a magician-esque top hat to a floppy crochet sunhat to a feather-embellished beret, which is why we love this pretty bow beret from Topshop. It might not be as theatrical as Stevie’s, but with the addition of a gypsy-inspired dress and boots, you’ll be channeling our style icon in no time. 2. Folk Scarf ($29.99) by French Connection There are a slew of photographs of Stevie, twirling and whirling across a stage. In many, you’ll find a scarf—covered in flowers or adorned with long tassels—draped across her arms or around her neck, or even trailing in the wind as she dances. Accordingly, we think French Connection’s scarf is perfect for the dancer inside you. 3. Gypsy Rose Vest ($99.99) by Winter Kate Stevie’s signature look was an eclectic mash-up of 1970s hippie pieces, gypsy-inspired looks, and Victorian gothic garments. For that reason, we just couldn’t take our eyes off this crocheted Winter Kate vest. Pair it with denim cut-offs or wide-leg jeans and a simple blouse to give your ensemble a Stevie-inspired spin that is still fresh and modern. 4. Lovely Omen Dress ($57.99) from ModCloth One of the many things we love about Stevie is the way she transformed every outfit into something worth talking about; it is clear she had fun putting together every last ensemble. This lace dress is sure to turn a few heads, especially when you pair it with Stevie-inspired accessories like a pile of silver bangles and a pretty scarf. 5. Gypsy Suede Fringed Cross-Body Bag ($230) by Banana Republic There is just something about this bag that makes it so right for today’s story. Whether it’s the super-soft suede, the long braided strap, or the fringe detail, we can totally see Stevie walking the streets of San Francisco with this bag on her shoulder. Naturally, it’s guaranteed to be tangled in a mass of lace, crochet, and flowing scarves. 6. Floral Graduated Dress ($170) from Topshop If you have spent any time looking at old photographs of Stevie, you know she loved to wear long, flowing dresses and skirts, usually in lace, or crochet, or covered in an array of pretty hippie prints. When worn with a velvet jacket and lace-up boots, this gorgeous Topshop dress will give any ensemble a Stevie-inspired twist. 7. Cross Pendant ($174) by Lois Hill While we’d be content with just about anything in Stevie’s closet, we’re pretty sure her accessory collection is to die for. Since that scenario is only available in our dreams, we’ll settle for this cross pendant, which is similar in style to a pendant Stevie once wore. No styling necessary: simply layer it over all your gypsy dresses and bewitching velvet jackets. 8. Silk Gypsy Blouse ($909.51) by Roberto Cavalli This gorgeous silk blouse is a must-have if you’re looking to channel Stevie’s gypsy-woman vibe. The silky fabric, breezy silhouette, pretty floral print, sheer edges, and lace trim all instantly call Stevie’s style to mind. Wear it over wide-leg jeans for a hippie-inspired look or layer it over a pair of skinny jeans for a modern twist. 9. Dame-115 Boots ($43.95) by Funtasma All the pieces in today’s story have a Stevie Nicks vibe about them, but if you truly want to channel the Gold Dust Woman, you must add a pair of these boots to the mix. The black lace overlay, pointy toe, and corset-style laces have a Victorian gothic vibe, which is just one of the many styles that Stevie used to channel. 10. Stevie Top/Dress ($115) by Jen’s Pirate Booty This top by Jen’s Pirate Booty is the perfect way to finish today’s story. Not only is it named after Stevie, it is certainly inspired by her: the flowing silhouette will give you an easy, breezy hippie vibe, while the ribbon trim and kimono-style sleeves add flair. The best part, however, is the fact that it can be worn as a top or dress. Please note that this post may contain one or more sponsored links. They sure didn't pick Stevie's best moments in fashion, in my opinion!

Okay, this is weird: that thing Kesha is wearing looks EXACTLY the same as this thing owned/donated by Stevie to a Hard Rock Cafe somewhere in Germany (I wish I could remember where I got this pic from):

That cape looks like the very same one. Unless she's into things Stevie, and had it remade?

Wow, Sanne, you're good! They're identical!

^ I wonder if Ke$ha's has that button on the top too, but can't see from...all that...hair! gahh

Speaking of fashion.. I don't know if this has been posted before, but here's some Stevie influence in Vogue:

Wow, no way Ke$ha's jacket's resemblance to Stevie's is a coincidence.... still ruling the world, mama Nicks!

These people don't get it. It wasn't just that Stevie was wearing these things--it was that she was wearing them while singing songs like "Rhiannon" & "Dreams" in a fantastic rock band. She wasn't just some college girl walking down the street in chiffon--she was the cynosure of the whole show, getting all billowy in the breeze onstage at the DAY ON THE GREEN in front of 100,000 people under the noonday sun.
As they always say about Fleetwood Mac, too, the whole was greater than the sum of the parts with Stevie Nicks. http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/_/...evie+Nicks.jpg |

From a Hollywood Reporter article discussing Chris March on Mad Fashionhttp://www.hollywoodreporter.com/rev...-review-242766
And in a hilarious aside squeezed in during a commercial break, March pulls out a blue Sharpie for a solemn moment. “I’ve been fascinated with Stevie Nicks for a long, long time,” he explains with his staff assembled behind him. “I’ve written ‘Stevie Nicks’ inside everything I’ve made for the past 20 years. It blesses everything we make.” In other words, if you’re looking for fashion’s quirky flipside of Project Runway’s “go, go, go” cutthroat ambition, Mad Fashion is your show. |
I think Mama is being a little disingenuous about not showing skin... there are PLENTY of pics (especially in the Danskin leotard days) where her girls were front and center and pretty visible, as well as her entire back....
clearly, showing skin didn't define her look the way it does girls out there today, but it certainly contributed..... |

Yes, but she never really showed a lot of leg, or a lot of stomach. She really just looked like she was going to dance class, only with more on bottom than normal.
Nowadays people where essentially bedazzled bras and underwear on stage. I think the main thing is that it didn't seem like she was trying to be overtly sexual or skimpy in her stagewear. That's the difference. |

KATNISS!
http://www.sheknows.com/beauty-and-s...rdeen-clothing Our first thought when we read about Katniss' fiery look at the Capitol presentation was of Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks. We're not exactly sure why -- the "Gypsy" singer's style doesn't exactly scream post-Apocalyptic society. However, Nicks' penchant for flowy, sheer dresses with lots of color and serious attitude mirror Katniss' fire much better than the fitted orange dress shown in stills from the film. Oh, and a gauzy dress would give off more of an illusion of fire since filmmakers (obviously) couldn't use real fire on Jennifer Lawrence in the film. Not that she minded. "Was everybody disappointed that I wasn't set on fire? God, that was a high, high bar to set. 'Oh, darn it, she didn't set herself on fire,'" she told MTV News. "That's unfair. I don't ever want to have to put myself on fire. Why am I constantly disappointing myself when I'm not putting my life in danger? That's not right." |
Bethany Cosentino says in Pitchfork:
http://pitchfork.com/news/45619-best...collaboration/ BC: The inspiration for this collection came from growing up in the Valley, teenage girls, the movie Clueless, and Stevie Nicks. One of my favorite things as a teenage girl was getting dressed up to go to shows. When we play shows, I see so many cute young girls with really great style. I remember them very specifically and I was thinking of them when I created these pieces, and also thinking back to myself as a teenage girl. I always wore weird ****, like tutus over my jeans. Stevie Nicks has always been [/B]“Stevie Nicks has always been my fashion icon, so I wanted to blend her infamous witchy style with the ’90s valley girl theme that I was so entranced by as a young girl,” Cosentino said. “I think this collection is like if Stevie Nicks and Cher from ‘Clueless’ had a baby and they took her to a séance.” |
^More from Bethany Cosentino, article by Marianne Gallagher
http://www.clashmusic.com/feature/ho...-be-best-coast Best Coast songs have always been pretty emotional and honest. But on the new album, it seems especially raw. What was influencing you as you wrote these songs? I was listening to a lot of Fleetwood Mac, and I think that the way that they tell these very personal stories in their songs inspired me – it kind of gave me the courage to just write my own very personal songs for this record. Personally, you’ve designed a range for Urban Outfitters. What were your visual references for the collaboration? Is it an on-going thing? It’s not on-going, no. It was just a spring collection. Hopefully I’ll be able to do more clothing design though because I’ve found that I really enjoy it. My main references were like, California in the 80s and 90s.Valley Girls. Things like that. Stevie Nicks was a massive influence on the way it turned out too. And I thought a lot about the girls who come to Best Coast shows and the way that they dress. I’m always kind of noticing that girls at my shows are dressed very cute, all with their own little sense of style. So I took a lot of inspiration from them and what I thought they’d wear. |

TUESDAY, JUNE 5, 2012 http://orchidgrey.blogspot.com/2012/...by-stevie.html Lulu's x Orchid Grey: Inspired By Stevie Nicks This week's look is inspired by Stevie Nicks. I'm pretty sure that my younger self would be appalled by how much I've come to love Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, but man, I can't help it. Not only do I find myself listening to either Tusk or Rumors almost every morning on my way to work, but if I ever need inspiration for styling long layers, this is the woman whose style I turn to. Pile on the scarves, shawls, silks, tapestry, and lace, and you'll have your Stevie look. Extra credit if you add a top hat and feathers. |

http://style.mtv.com/2012/07/13/stev...ks-style-icon/ Stevie Nicks: Our Mystical Style Spirit Guide Posted 3 hours ago by Maud Deitch in Divas All of a sudden, mid day yesterday, a corner of the Internet exploded. News broke that legendary British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac are planning a reunion in 2013, something diehard fans of the Mac had assumed was impossible due to the famed infighting between the band's members. Lead singer/tambourine playing sorceress Stevie Nicks announced the reformation on CBS This Morning, and of course, both super-fans and casual admirers alike went nuts. Nicks, who wrote the band's 1977 Billboard #1 hit "Dreams," is as much a style icon as a musical muse, with everyone from Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino, America's sweetheart Taylor Swift, and Florence + The Machine singer Florence Welch counting themselves as acolytes. Even if you don't know you're familiar with Stevie Nicks, you probably are. You know the opening of Destiny's Child's "Bootylicious," well, it's sampled from Nicks's "Edge of Seventeen," off of her 1981 solo record, Bella Donna. T.Swift calls Nicks a "childhood idol," and Bethany Cosentino has Making Rumors: The Inside Story of the Classic Fleetwood Mac Album on her coffee table. There is also a Fleetwood Mac tribute record being released on August 14th, titled Just Tell Me That You Want Me, which includes takes on the band's tunes by Best Coast, Lykke Li, The Kills and MGMT. As far as her style goes, Nicks's outfit from a 1978 performance in East Troy, Wisconsin (pictured above), speaks for itself: a pink cape with cascading black feathers pouring from the shoulders of a matching pink, body-hugging, velvet dress. Yes, cape, feathers, and velvet in one look. Case rested. Not to mention Nicks's long blond hair, which grew in volume through the decades (although she now favors a sleek, straight style with long blunt bangs), which, in the performance image, is crowned with a cage-like headpiece. When Stevie Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac the 1970s were in full swing. She and her then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham became part of the band in 1974, and Nicks's aesthetic reflected both her youth, she was 26 years old, and the styles of the times. With her hair iron-straightened and flipped at the ends, Nicks could have been confused with one of Charlie's Angels in her denim bell-bottom hip huggers and bell sleeved top (pictured left). Nicks's now-famous ethereal style was already present, though, with the singer favoring flowing dresses and waterfalls of jewelry both on and off stage. The coltish beauty was about to become one of the most famous singers in the world, and her one of a kind take on the trends of the day was no doubt a factor. Although her shawls are perhaps considered her signature, it's her black top hat that is arguably Nicks's most iconic look. Paired with a drape-y, sheer black dress that calls to mind a druid ceremony amongst the evergreens (do you see it too?), Nicks makes the English schoolboy staple into a fantastical talisman, but its origins, she told Time Out New York back in 2001, are far simpler than we had ever imagined. "The first time I ever wore [a top hat] was in the forth grade," she tells TONY reporter Gia Kourlas, "I wore a black top hat, a black vest and skirt, a white blouse, black tights and black tap shoes with little heels. That was my 'Rhiannon' outfit, in the fourth grade!" While it's not surprising that Nicks has been a fashion plate since the dawn of time-fourth grade!-really, it's her combination of airy, ethereal dresses and more luxe pieces, such as feathers, lace, and jewelry. Nicks also has a penchant for using animals as accessories, as she did on the cover of Bella Donna, where she poses with a parrot, and she even sold her famous tambourine on Ebay to benefit an pro-animal charity. Any style story about Madame Nicks would be sorely lacking without at least a few sentences about the songwriter's hair. Always long, her blonde mane went from a 70's flip to an enormous 80's force to be reckoned with just as the decades changed, and, rarely concealed, besides in the case of her hats, it became just as much a part of her aesthetic as her massive sleeves. Curly, bright blonde and undoubtedly full of secrets, Nicks's mane is just the right witches brew of fluffy, curly and be-banged to be thrown around on stage while also framing her puppy-dog eyes and rosebud lips. Paired with a simple, unchanging beauty regimen of lightly applied black liner, mascara and dusky rose lips, the singers hair was at once a statement, while simultaneously remaining the perfect complement to her sartorial style. You might be sensing a theme here, and if you are you're right: everything about Stevie Nicks is BIG. But that's where the nuance comes in. She doesn't need bright colors, look-at-me lengths or outrageous costumes-Nicks wears looks that, paired with her captivating performance style (the woman can do the splits like none other), communicate an energy and a power that illustrates the purest reason that clothes are so essential to music. With her tambourine in hand and her arms spread wide, Nicks transforms into that white winged dove she sings so passionately of on "Edge of Seventeen," and she casts a spell that makes her audience think that with a little chiffon and a few feathers, maybe they could transform too. What do you think of Stevie Nicks witchy goddess style? |

Style MTV, July 18, 2012
http://style.mtv.com/2012/07/18/best...entino-fallon/ Last night, almost the entire Style team watched as Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino covered Fleetwood Mac's "Storms" at New York City's Terminal 5. She was wearing an understated all black outfit--a black tank and jeans and a pair of black clog sandals--and commanded in a way that we're sure would have made her predecessor Stevie Nicks very proud had she been there to witness it. Just hours before, Bethany and the rest of her band performed the same song on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, their second time on the show (the first was performing "Boyfriend" off of their debut record, Crazy For You). For the performance, Bethany looked equal parts bewitching and contemporary, dripping in Pamela Love's architectural, amulet-like pyramid rings, a bracelet and an breastplate necklace that almost doubles as a collar for her midi-length Rachel Comey Dress. The dress, which is a fluid black halter with buttons from the waist down (very Elaine Benes from Seinfeld, only sexier and more modern, we must say), isn't quite as flamboyant as a classic Stevie Nicks look, but we love how Bethany stays true to her own unique take on the California Valley witch vibe that Stevie is the godmother of. Finished off with a pair of Marc Jacobs split wedges and flowing tresses, Bethany's super simple, timeless look was nearly as breathtaking as her tender cover of the heartbreaking Fleetwood Mac ballad she sang. The cover of "Storms," which was originally released on Fleetwood Mac's 1979 album Tusk, was made available as a limited edition 7" with purchase of Best Coast's The Only Place when it was released back in May. The tune allows Bethany to show off her impressive vocal chops in a way we haven't really seen before, and shows just how far she's come as both a singer and a performer since her debut performance on the show in 2009. We can't wait to hear more from Best Coast, and to see what sartorial steps Bethany takes in the future, whether it be another capsule collection or more seriously covetable on-stage looks. |

[several pictures of Stevie and kimonos inspired by Stevie on the site] MONDAY, 17 SEPTEMBER 2012 Stevie's Style recently i've had a strange desire to float around in some kind of draped kimono/cape, totally normal way to feel, right? i think it may be thanks to the fleetwood mac documentary i watched, seeing stevie sway about in all her silky glory. has there ever been more of a babe than a young stevie nicks? i doubt it. I think i need number one [reference to a design pictured] so i can fulfil my need to dress like some kind of dream hippie. |

http://miista.com/style-heroine-stevie-nicks/ By Laura Villasenin Wednesday 6 February 2013, Miista MIISTA - CATEGORY: what we like In a uniform of billowing chiffon, layers of lace, delicate shawls and a blanket of long blonde hair, Stevie Nicks will forever be The Reigning Queen of Rock n Roll. The legendary singer songwriter has been on the music scene since she graduated high school and hasn’t stopped to take a breath since. She catapulted to international fame after joining Fleetwood Mac in 1974 and has been the driving force behind over forty top 50 hits, album sales of over 140 million and a combined 13 Grammy nominations between her work with Fleetwood and her solo career. When Fleetwood Mac released their second album Rumours after adding Stevie and her longtime love Lindsey Buckingham to the line up they found themselves suddenly at a level of success previously unimaginable. The album was the best selling album of all time at the date of release in 1977 and now has only moved seven places down despite a 35 year time lapse. Four Top 10 singles resulted and Stevie’s Dreams became their first and only US #1 hit. Clearly the synergistic energy of the newly formed group was the stuff of legends, and Stevie’s songwriting prowess took them all to the top. She had been writing long before joining Fleetwood — Rhiannon and Landslide were completed before she even had one of her specially decorated mics in her hand. Having joined the band with her lover Lindsey, their chemistry helped to further their fame but also caused tension within the group. Ultimately she had to leave seven years later to go solo, but in the time spent all together it is said that their live performances were filled with theatrical and interpersonal intensity sometimes bordering on exorcism like ferociousness that lulled audiences into a heavy trance. Once she went solo in 1981 with Bella Donna she was cemented as the strongest female in the game. The album went platinum within three weeks of its release and is now certified as quadruple platinum — incredible. She was an unforgettable force; everything about her was distinctive. Especially that voice. That husky, emotional, gorgeous voice — that she credits in part to seeing Grace Jones and Janis Joplin play live — will easily give goosebumps to anyone in ear shot. Known also for her unique style, she was always wandering around like a mystical gypsy — long hair blowing in the breeze, chiffon dragging on the ground behind her, that signature black half moon tambourine gently shaking in her hand. She stuck with the same style over the span of her career — it’s said that she’s worn a variation of the same suede platform boots during every performance since 1975, even if they weren’t in style at the time. Her look was so evocative that a slew of witchcraft (not joking) rumors began to spread and she was forced to dial it down a bit as to not scare people away. Despite addictions to cocaine and tranqs she’s still alive and kicking today, making her one of the few female acts of her time to witness induction to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, to watch album sales soar above 100 million, to see college kids forty years her junior decorate their dorm rooms with posters of her and all her friends. Rolling Stone crowned her with the title of Reigning Queen and it seems she’ll be holding on to it for quite some while. For anyone in NYC who’s equally as obsessed with Miss Nicks as we, there is an event that we all have no choice but to attend. The Night of 1,000 Stevies is May 3rd at the Highline Ballroom in NYC — be there or be square! |

Stevie Nicks' Style Is Bohemian Cool At Its Finest (PHOTOS)
Posted: 05/24/2013 10:30 am EDT | Updated: 05/24/2013 11:05 am EDT Huffington Post, [Click for slideshow] http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/0...n_3323018.html "Personally, I think that sexy is keeping yourself mysterious" Stevie Nicks told Rolling Stone in 2002. "I'm really an old-fashioned girl, and I think I'm totally sexy." Well, there you have it. For over 40 years, Ms. Nicks has embodied bohemian mystique, fronting Fleetwood Mac and pursuing a solo career in billowing sleeves, Victorian lace and dark, draping stage costumes. The singer joined Fleetwood Mac at the end of 1974 and quickly became known for her Grammy award-winning raspy vocals. (Ever heard of a little album called "Rumours"?) Nicks achieved her memorable aesthetic with the help of stylist Margi Kent, who designed most of her epic ensembles. The costumes are works of art in and of themselves and have been exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and DC's National Museum of Women in the Arts, among others. In honor of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee's birthday today (May 26), we're taking a look back at Nicks' memorable -- and sexy -- style. The Trendspotter: Seventies icons The Herald Scotland
http://www.heraldscotland.com/fashio...ter.2013063721 Mairi McDonald, Fashion designer & fashion writer. Monday 17 June 2013 The Seventies was the decade that celebrated Studio 54, the New York nightclub with the elite clientele and the famously outrageous antics. Studio’s starlet was Bianca Jagger: a fully-fledged fashionista and the wife of a Rolling Stone, she was the epitome of seventies fashion. The perfect muse to many designers, Bianca's turban hats, kaftans and rich, jewel- toned evening wear have become legendary. She married Mick Jagger in a white Yves Saint Laurent suit which shows the diversity of her style, from decadent glamour to androgynous chic. Elsewhere, Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks was the hippie high-priestess of seventies fashion. Her style was eclectic - she rocked boho fringed shawls, denim, chiffon, lace and gave cowboy boots a soft feminine look with an enchanting luxe hippie feel. The Spring Summer 2013 catwalks in Paris celebrated this seventies look with the highly anticipated first collection Hedi Slimane for the rebranded Saint Laurent. The wide-brimmed hats, long-flowing dresses and tailored trouser suits were clearly referencing one era; this was a luxurious, grown-up take on the style of the 1970s for girls with serious rock credentials. Slimane gave a nod to the iconic Stevie Nicks with his seventies boho take on key silhouettes such as billowy chiffon blouses and flowing maxi dresses, creating a rock star worthy look with multiple neck bows, tuxedo jackets and super skinny trousers. Ponchos, cloaks and capes, and ruffles cascading at necks created drama in a surprisingly dark summer colour palette, an entire collection that could easily be seen on present day style icons such as Kate Moss, who was front row at the show. Isbael Marant’s Spring Summer 13 collection was said to be inspired by old pictures of Elvis in his Hawaii and Las Vegas days. Marant’s love for wearable perfection saw her staples of embellished jeans, embroidered coats and lace pieces remain. She introduced black and white tropical floral-print shorts and button-down tops knotted at the midriff along with one-shoulder dresses in paisley prints. Emma Hill took us back to the seventies for Mulberry's Spring Summer 2013 collection, which evoked an English country garden. The colour palette was a mix of neutrals and countryside pastels. With a catwalk decorated with climbing roses, this hazy nostalgia was the perfect setting for cool oversized biker jackets, military-inspired long pea coats, luxe fabrics with seventies-style tailoring, side-pleated skirts, kooky florals and gecko motifs. |
The Frisky [click for slideshow]
http://www.thefrisky.com/photos/10-p...-stevie-nicks/ How much do I love Stevie Nicks? This is a woman who literally shot cocaine up her butt and also sings like an angel. We loved her as part of Fleetwood Mac and we loved her solo. And we especially loved it when she was on "Oprah" not too long ago. Oprah, plagued by all the debaucherous things Stevie had done in the past, couldn't even deal with asking her anything real, so she was all, "STEVIE! How do you KEEP! Your SKIN! Looking so FRESH!" In Oprah voice, you know. We are so stoked that Fleetwood Mac is getting the band back together, especially since we were like, 5 the last time they released an album. Plus, Stevie has to die for style, though we'd hardly recommend you copy her look line for line. Come on, do you really want to look like a consumptive rat catcher lady dressed by a flock of whitedoves? Instead, we suggest you update your Stevie worshiping look with one of these fine frocks. |
