So is anyone doing anything for Stevie's birthday on Wednesday??

Well duh!! I am a fanboy after all :laugh: Just the usual though, party, watch Red Rocks, and by usual I mean something that is looked down upon by society :thumbsup:

Play Stevie's music all day long, watch her DVDs all night long, burn some nag champRa, do Stevie make up and wear a tour tshirt to work. That ought to be sufficient...

If I feel really frisky on her birthday,sometimes, I bake a cake in her honor, and we eat it. :woohoo:

Oh my gosh - i do that too! LOL i'm gonna wear my Wild Heart tour shirt, my "Stevie Nicks" necklace, Stevie style makeup, skinny jeans and high heels. Then come home and have a Stevie DVD marathon!

(I was a little ashamed to say that I do it everyday, and that I have no friends anymore. :D). I'm so jealous of you guys, I don't own any Stevie shirt ! Would have totally worn it tomorrow.

Aww. My junior year, my lunch table surprised me for Stevie's birthday. They baked a cake and brought in cupcakes and we all sang happy birthday together. Even the acquaintances at the far end of the table were in on it. It made up for all the **** they usually gave me for being so obsessed.

This year, I'm just getting f*cked up.

I used to gorge on bootleg videos & CDs all night long to honor The Lady Herself. No time for that anymore, but I have been itching to hear some good old shows so maybe I'll dig some out & pop them in the car.

I will be putting a mix together tonight so I can bring it to work tomorrow so I can drive my co-workers nuts.

Everyone is wearing a Stevie shirt and it makes me sad, because even tho I have two Stevie shirts, neither fit correctly so I left them in my apartment in Austin. :distress: All well, I will have a Stevie cake! I think everyone should post pics of their Nicksmas shenanigans!

OMG! NICKSMASS!! I LOVE IT!! And yes, post ur pics! I'm having a little lonely Stevie Party, too :woohoo:. Don't have much time because of tons of school work but there's always time to play music. Since I haven't listened to any Stevie solo material in ages I started with demos and live stuff and now I'm playing Bella Donna. Ah, I'm so into her again. :thumbsup: Stevie is a genius.

That's what I usually do - make one and bring it to work for everyone. But today I'm working for my brother, and he's totally vegan so he and his girlfriend wouldn't be able to eat any of it. :distress:
So, I'll just do like some of you guys and wear a Stevie T-shirt. Maybe bring some DVDs to my brother's to have on while I work. :D

So I was just now sitting in class during a lecture, and decided I needed to post the Midnight Special Rhiannon on slavebook... and the video played at full volume... Everyone was treated to "This is song about a Welsh Witch"... ****...

According to nicksblog.com (FM news and reviews) Stevie was spotted in Hawaii today!! Guess she's spending her day with Mick?

That's awesome! Hopefully she's getting plenty of rest and relaxation (and staying out of the sun). And I hope Mick has stocked up on the knee pads he will be needing to beg Stevie to record another FM album.

When I went to bed last night, shortly after midnight, I turned on the radio and "Stand Back" was playing. The station is BOB (they don't have deejays), so it was totally random. I wished Stevie a happy birthday and then had a dream that I moved in with Mary Tyler Moore - wtf?

Today is also the 12th anniversary of me becoming a homeowner. No, I didn't plan my closing day to be on Stevie's birthday, that was also random. :)

The way i'm celebrating during school is listening to all her solo albums, and as i'm posting i'm using my school's wifi. I'm listening to HAEWAFY and i just started balling. My friend came up to me and asked what was wrong. All i could say was, "Poets, priests of nothing...legends."

Happy Nicksmas to all the Wild Hearts and Sister of the Moon everywhere.

Like many of you, I had to work today. The pagans in HR refuse to recognize that this is the most sacred day of the year to me. Needless to say, I will not be having the Feast of Stevie until the weekend. This year it's BBQ ribs, and I will be making my favorite...sausage stuffing. The non-diabetics in my crowd will then top it off with the traditional bowl of Rocky Road ice cream.

I would like to share with you a poem that I wrote many years ago for Stevie's birthday, and is still read to this day on my show. Everyone thought I had gone insane (no one said I hadn't), but now, some of them ask if they can be the one to read it.

Anyway, here is "A Visit From St. Nicks".

'Twas just before midnight, and all through the house/
I was the only Creature stirring, as I preparred to go out.

A candle was lit by the picture you see/
A hand-tinted photo of herself signed to me.

Just an hour before, I was snug in my bed/
While scenes from the Gypsy video played in my head.

I picked up my keys and was ready to leave/
When what happened next, I can scarcely believe.

Outside of my door, a strange noise I did hear/
The sound of platform boots on my porch coming near.

I opened the door, and in shock I did gape/
At her flowing blonde hair and black velvet cape.

"Oh Creature of the Night, my dear faithful beast/
By playing my records, my fans you keep pleased".

"Asking for nothing, you reap royalties for me"/
My reward was a kiss to my lips soft and sweet.

I thought I would die, my knees did go weak/
She smiled at me gently, and the turned to leave.

"Wait, take me with you!", I begged with a tear/
But before I could finish, she did disappear.

I sat on the floor, my head was still reeling/
My heart overflowed with the love I was feeling.

As I gathered myself, now it did seem/
That this wonderful night was lo but a dream.

But as I went down the steps, with my eyes I did catch/
the sight of chiffon snagged on a branch.

Now with evidence I surely could feel/
This wonderful miracle just had to be real.

I jumped into my car, her engine roared to life/
"On Ginger", I yelled as we raced through the night.

I shouted all the way, while still tasting her kiss/
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU...TO YOU STEVIE NICKS!
