I don't know if anyone cares but I found this so hilarious I had to start a thread about it. I mean seriously, that's just twisted.

Speechless! Thank you for sharing...I am speechless.

WelshWitchPMD 05-05-2010 07:23 PM

Oh that's Wynnco. They've been trying to sell that bag for years. Those probably aren't even Stevie or Lindsey's items anyway.

Perhaps they should lower the "buy it now" price. I'll be curious to see if anyone actually bids...

StreetAngel95 05-05-2010 07:33 PM

I won't even say what i'd do with Lindsey's or Stevie's underwear....hehe

APerfectLie 05-05-2010 07:39 PM

OH HELL YES! $1995? Meh, thats chunk change! Where is my credit card?!?!!?

CADreaming 05-05-2010 07:39 PM

Oh, that's just hysterical! What's even funnier is I could see Lindsey wearing those...

DefDumbandBlond 05-05-2010 07:50 PM

Wow. Don't like Wynnco at all. Some 15 years ago I ordered that piece of crap 'Lady Of The Stars' book from them, they hand wrote in a faux autograph 'Stevie Nicks' in the upper-left return address area and a mailing address (not hers, duh).
Such a tacky way of conducting business. I'd ordered it from the back of Goldmine magazine.
I had recently moved back to CT from Los Angeles, and the book just didn't come, for a month. Finally, I went to the small-town post office where I first moved back to here in CT, and the postal workers just had been holding it without notifying me it came.
I was made to feel like an idiot when I went to get the package. 3 or 4 postal workers came out to see who it was who had been mailed this very strange item from 'Stevie Nicks'- I soon left that small town and never ordered from Wynnco again. It was just all so tawdry- which is too kind of a word to describe that awful book.

Wow, that is strange! Thanks for sharing.

Nikolaj 05-05-2010 08:39 PM

It was very strange, and creepy, SS.
And now Wynnco are selling her alleged underwear. They truly are a to-avoid business, in my opinion. Imagine pesky postal workers in Moosebreath, Montana who have no-one checking up on them seeing a package with 'Stevie Nicks' as the sendee, and peaking and seeing her alleged underwear are in the package! Makes me feel less icky about the icky book, which was an unauthorized biography, cringe-worthy in every way.

iamnotafraid 05-05-2010 08:52 PM

I just bought them. I'm not sure if I'm going to give them to David or Carrie.

BTW, I've had good luck with Wynnco in the past. Items are always priced too
high, but they have (had?) a good return policy.

Carrie, David.........who wants the "items"?

LMFAO!

iamnotafraid 05-05-2010 10:33 PM

Weird timing. Tonight I've been throwing away more music "stuff".
And of all things I found an old Wynnco magazine, and guess what's
on the cover?

Here's the description:
Stevie Nicks personal Fleetwood Mac Tour Bag from the 1978 Tour-
Also inside the bag a pair of her panty hose & what appear to be men's
swimming briefs (Her's?, Lindsay's?) All three items were together-
All three have the Sotheby's Auction tags still attached.
$2,000.00

Magazine date October 1998.

I used to buy a lot of stuff from Wynnco back in the day, they were way overpriced and back then (before the internet) I'd call to place an order. Being that they are down south they talk VERY slow. When you're making a long distance call it takes FOREVER to place the order.
They also had "exclusive" items which meant they were items they made themselves or had made for them to sell. Case in point are the wooden box set versions of "Bella Donna", "The Wild Heart" and "Rock A Little". I bought the BD and WH sets, yeah they are really cool, but they are not legit.

wynnco...oh gawd...are they still around? i remember the wooden box sets! lol. i used to get catalogs from them...they would advertise in the back pages of rock magazines...they always had alot of odd Stevie related items/documents/greeting cards...most of it from Bobbye Hall. she must have been hard up for cash at one point and sold all her **** to them!!

Janis_no1 05-06-2010 06:10 AM

come on... really, i don't think fans are into that... just gettin a bit creepy:(

bellagypsy79 05-06-2010 08:46 AM

It is creepy. But I wouldn't mind having that Fleetwood Mac bag for like 50.00 but that other stuff, how does anyone know that didn't belong to him or his girlfriend at that time? This guy could be full of it.

the North Pole.

Nah,No pantyhose.

I happen to have that same copy,I came acrossed it as I was packing my Stevie/FM stuff to move here.but i dont remember if I kept it or roundfile it.I have not orfered from the Wynnco magazine, their prices were too steep for me.I sticked with a fellow in Texas at the time.he pack everything neat and nothing got broke.

starshine 05-06-2010 07:23 PM

I agree Wynnco has been trying to sell that stuff for so long now. I'd give up cause to me its ugly. Go to there web site they have alot of the same stuff (meaning Stevie/Mac stuff) since the last catalog I'd gotten from them in like I think 2000 when they stopped cause of the Net. I used to order from them alot (them & Goldmine mag) before the Net....and ebay....I agree that they have always, always been high priced. They are still high priced on Stevie/Mac items when prices have went way down ......I'll never understand them. Heck you can get stuff cheaper on ebay now too than ordering from Wynnco.......I haven't bought from them since before '00......they are nice though but still too high on most stuff.....I really wonder how much they sell now??

Would 32 year old undergarments still retain the...(how to put this delicately) the 'essence' of the original wearer?

:D I have the 'Lady Of The Stars' book too (and the other one by the same author - 'Rock's Mystical Lady`). Utter crap! Both are poorly written with tons of grammatical errors, and all the info was ripped off of magazine articles. The author even used half of one of the books to spotlight other performers whom he thought were 'mystical ' like Stevie (Loreena McKennitt, Tori Amos, Donovan, etc.)

The author even mentioned that he travelled to Phoenix to try to get Stevie herself to help him co-author 'Lady Of The Stars'. She have him a definitive 'No' through her mother Barbara.

greendaze5 05-07-2010 01:47 PM

Besides their inflated prices and the dubious authenticity of their Stevie and FM items, Wynnco would include an 'Are You Saved Yet?' pamphlet with every order.

I respect people`s beliefs, but to me, mixing business with religion is a huge turnoff.

I was wondering if anyone else remembered this. I always thought it was ****ty of them to claim to be Christians yet charge us an arm and a leg for merchandise.
