Something in your life you just can't quit? Stevie Nicks that...

Warning: NC17

A song about quitting cocaine and our woman.
I'm not sure how I feel about this, what about you?

petep9000 04-21-2010 06:18 PM

It's stupid.

SapphireSister 04-21-2010 06:25 PM

I'm not sure what I think yet. Need to listen to it some more. This doesn't happen very often.

Musicman408 04-21-2010 07:09 PM

A rap song about our girl.... That doesn't happen everyday. Who is the artist?

vivfox 04-21-2010 07:45 PM

I loved the song from the first note! I can't believe I didn't discover this first.:woohoo:

sywlindseyfan 04-21-2010 08:17 PM

I think this is amazing, and I believe it's really a compliment to her, showing that everyone can be as strong as her, and to just think of everything she's gone through to help you realize that you too can make it. She already inspires me for everything musically, and in life, but this could help get her word out to other kids in my generation.

gypsy4life 04-21-2010 09:53 PM

Obviously they respect her, look up to her. I don't like rap, but I think it's cool that she seems to have had an impact on this person.

LikeAWillow 04-21-2010 10:05 PM

Oh my god. I love it. I love it like a hipster loves ironic t-shirts.

SandyMac 04-21-2010 10:17 PM

Wow, that was different and good! Stevie's experiences must have really influenced this artist. Stevie is such a positive force in so many people's lives.

APerfectLie 04-21-2010 10:17 PM

At first I was kinda iffy about it, but after a few listens I'm loving it. I think Stevie would appreciate it too. "For now I stay clean and I don't get high, cause if Stevie can do it, so can I."

LOL! Out of that whole song PerfectLie, that was the best quote you could've posted...lol for the rest of the night

BTW my room mate listens to rap sometimes here in the dorms, so I blasted this, he liked it :)

daniellaaarisen 04-22-2010 02:41 AM

Oh my God. I am in love.

LittleCharmer 04-22-2010 03:09 AM

I haven't even listened to this and it's already ****ing with my mind.

Edit: I have now listened to it. It's quite good considering I'm unbelievable hungover and need a Depeche Mode tonic.

louielouie2000 04-22-2010 03:22 AM

Oh, I hope this gets to Stevie's ears somehow. I think she'd be so grateful her story was used to encourage somebody else to clean up their life. I was SO not expecting to like this song... but it actually makes me emotional listening to it. It takes me back to the '80s when my parents were big coke heads... an addiction that eventually claimed my Father. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this...

GODDESS6 04-22-2010 05:19 AM

i love, love it!!!~

Musicman408 04-22-2010 06:06 AM

I have determined that I definitely love it. Any decent non screamo tribute to Stevie makes me happy!!

IKV Nexis 04-22-2010 09:20 AM

Sharp Dressed Man. ZZ Top reference for added win!

BTFLCHLD 04-22-2010 09:57 AM

 hope small little ears aren't listening to this dude's foul*ss mouth.

gretchen 04-22-2010 10:15 AM

Not into it.

SapphireSister 04-22-2010 11:17 AM

So I've decided I effin love this song! The guy's a decent rapper, the tune is rockin', the lyrics are so damn true, and Stevie has encouraged at least one person to get off coke "because if Stevie can do it than so can I". I'm now going to start saying "Stevie Nix that ****" when I need to stop something. Too cool.

Nathan 04-22-2010 01:04 PM

Don't like it.

LMAO! I just posted this on facebook an hour ago...I should have known it would have been posted here already! Anyway, I like it. I thought it was a joke at first...but after a bit I realized it wasn't and stopped laughing

AliceLover 04-22-2010 02:17 PM

I like it!!!!!!!!!

holidayroad 04-22-2010 03:10 PM

What music is in the background of this song? I've heard it before, but I can't place it.

tilthefirefades 04-22-2010 03:18 PM

I actually really like it, but I think the Dreams of a Mac is much better.

It's roughly based off Baby Bash's Suga Suga:

ButterCookie 04-22-2010 04:40 PM

I have a vision of a ton of rehabilitated addicts now twirling off in chiffon for 'Stevie Nicksing that ****'

Actually it's a requirement to graduate from any rehab facility these days.

cristochango 04-22-2010 05:27 PM

This is great. I love this.

PenguinHead 04-22-2010 07:18 PM

I'm generally not a fan of rap. But at least this rap song has a positive message. I like the line "Stevie nixed that ****." It's much more dignified than the song about Stevie from the punk band from the late '70s. I think they were called 'The Rotters.' Their song was "Sit on my face Miss Stevie Nicks.' lol It just goes to show how Stevie, through four decades, in various capacities, has been an influence to a diverse range of people: Musicians, the writers of SNL, The Simpsons and many others I can't think of right now. She's truly a respected pop culture icon.
