Brown Eyes or Blue Eyes?

Brown Eyes is one of my all time favorite Christine McVie songs. Tonight while driving on the highway I was listening to this beautiful song and thought to myself how interesting that she wrote about a man with brown eyes. Usually it's a man with blue eyes that makes a woman swoon.

Has this ever occured to anyone of you before now? Never in my life have I heard a woman say, " he has the most amazing brown eyes.""

Blue eyes and green eyes, but never brown eyes. What's your opinion?

oh boy, Viv, i could go on forever! You, see, it's a bit strange (according to my friends), but i have the biggest crush on this boy in my school who's Indian, and has the most amazing brown eyes in the world. Seriously, if you stare into them long enough you can see yourself reflected off of him and....oh it just makes me crumble to pieces! While yes, blonde and blue eyed is nice, IMO brown eyes will forever hold my heart:xoxo:

Is he the native American Indian or the Indian from India?

LOL Indian from India......but seriously he's GORGEOUS.....think Jay Sean-esque. I'm not sure if you know who he is or not, but he's gorgeous!

I think that brown is the most attractive eye color  but green ranks second, and then blue.

I've always loved blue/green eyes, but I love Stevie's brown eyes :D

Blue eyes forever. Cause my fiancee has amazing blue eyes. I just get lost in them. She loves my blue eyes too. My first boyfriend had blue eyes too. So I see a pattern:thumbsup: Brown eyes do nothing for me.

Brown Eyes. I've stared into both colours and looking into blue eyes, for me, is just a bit... dull? Brown eyes are often marbled with green and all different shades of brown

Gypsycat999 04-03-2010 01:54 PM

Actually I find blue, green or mixed coloured eyes more beautiful but when I think about it all the people I've been in love with have brown eyes. Maybe it's a curse? But then again I shouldn't decide that at 15...

I have grey eyes. They're really weird and very flat, only one shade of grey, no marbles or anything.

All colours. I love eyes, they attract me so bad. Ann Wilson's brown eyes floor me, even though i'm straight. I adore them. My first boyfriend had lovely blue eyes, and my last had really dark brown.

Haha. Uhm, Okay okay... Debsexual ;)
Normally straight unless it involves Debbie, Ann, Nancy, Stevie, Christine... I'll stop now.

There's something entrancing about dark eyes to me. Yes, blue & green eyes are more accessible... immediately beautiful. But you really have to explore brown eyes. They hold secrets. They're mysterious. More intense, usually.

Love, love, love the song Brown Eyes, by the way. It's perhaps the most finely crafted Mac song of all time. It's absolute perfection: ethereal, beautifully simple, sensual, understated, even a bit carnal! Substantive, but always leaves you yearning for more. Ahh, I miss Christine so badly... :(

I'm building an Ultimate Christine McVie Playlist, hoping that it will end up being days long. I miss her immensely too :( I'll post it here as a download when it's done.

Now, do tell us more! :D  Let's see... so far we have Blondie, Heart, FM... care to add Pat Benatar perhaps? Or maybe Enya? :D
And, blue eyes, because I have blue eyes, and I'm pure awesome!
(I think the rate of the amount of my shameless self-promotion on The Ledge is beginning to increase. How wonderful for all us Ledgies!)

EDIT: Oh, how did I forget to sing the praises of Christine's gem "Brown Eyes"? Damn that's a top song! Love it to bits! :D

I'm definitely in the brown eyes club. There's just something about them..

MissLadyLoki 05-10-2010 09:01 AM

Speaking as a heterosexual female, I've always preferred blue and green over brown eyes. Despite the fact that my ex was a huge jackass, he did have some pretty brown eyes that took on a deep amber color in sunlight that looked really pretty. And yet, I've never been that crazy for brown eyes cause it seems so...common, so to speak.

Alas, I am a bit biased towards green and blue cause I do have blue eyes (and I went to a high school where they thought I was wearing colored contacts when I got contacts, but then again, I remember hearing someone once say that a lime was a tiny green lemon, seriously) and depending on the shade, I could look into them forever. This looks even better in my books when it's a more pale shade of either color with dark hair (think Lindsey). My ex's brother had that look with dark brown hair and the most gorgeous pale blue eyes and if he didn't have a girlfriend at the time and if I wasn't going out, I would've been all over him lol.

Oh yeah, and Brown Eyes is a great Christine song and one of the many reasons why I love Tusk.
