Which song from the vault will be performed on the next tour
personally i'd love to see sisters of the moon live..
|
They already tried DLMDA for SYW and they didn't seem too pleased with it.
Michele |
As much as I love Sisters, they'll never do it, so i pick Blue Letter since its awesome and a possibility!
|
Sisters of the Moon. If not, Crystal.
Mick |
Blue Letter is kind of along the same lines as Monday Morning, so I could see them doing that!
|
I was shocked when Sara came back so who knows. Just when you think you know the Mac!
Seems like they've been in the habit of bringing one of Stevie's Tusk songs back each tour so I think by default they'll do SOTM. It just seems logical. As much as it would be great to resurrect Sisters, I personally think it would fall nothing short of a pale shadow of its former self UNLESS they were really able to pull off some updated newer "alternative" version. How's that for a long run-on sentence lol?! I think the band could play the older rocking live version fairly well but just can't hear Stevie singing it that way. I think they could pull it off in the spirit of the original piano demo - without the wails and yeahs and oohs etc etc. I don't think they'll ever do it but I think above all, Crystal works the best. It seems more appropriate for them technically these days. It was on the B/N AND White Album so that must say something. She wrote it but he sings it so it's kind of both of their songs. And it's a nice little acoustic gem that ties in the whole B/N thing. I think Lindsey could do a nice job bringing it back. However, it doesn't mean they'll listen to me lol! As someone else said, DLMDA was tried already and sunk like a ship. Blue Letter done now would be as exciting as Monday Morning lol. Am glad they did it last year but don't see the point in adding something in that neither of them wrote. They have enough upbeat stuff in the set like Don't Stop, Monday Morning etc. I think Blue Letter would be redundant. |
Out of those four, I pick Sisters Of The Moon, but honestly, I'd really like the two of them to perform one song each from Tango (excluding Big Love), say like Seven Wonders and Tango In The Night (I really love the guitar work in that song, classic).
|
I would **** if they did Tango:nod:

I heard it at the Madison show for the SYW tour and it was lackluster. I can't say I was sorry to see it dropped. But they didn't give it a chance. Also, I think it could have benefitted from an introduction (a short one, Lindsey), talking about the song's origins. I think that would have made the audience more attentive to it. Of course, Lindsey must not have liked the song, because poor audience response has rarely caused him to take a song out of the setlist. He has a "wear you down" mentality. Michele |

and BE JEALOUS! hehe yeah i love "Miranda" too...and to hear it being recorded in the Destiny Rules DVD and Stevie practically WAILING my name...made me ball. I've decided that when i DO meet Lindsey, i'm gonna ask him to sing a bit for me...:] |

Blue Letter! Fireflies would be amazing even if it is along the same lines as The Chain... don't see it happening though, I'd settle for full-band Big Love.

hehe...hey RickRobert...are you new? I don't remember talking to you ever! welcome!:wavey: |
Sisters of the Moon would be great but I agree, one, it seems like it's been completely retired. Two, just about everyone would be comparing it to the 1978-82 versions (in particular the famous Mirage Video version) as soon as the video was posted to Youtube and I fear the 21st century version would greatly pale in comparison unless some major reworking of the song was done. I don't think I could tolerate the background singers oohing and ahhing along to a rocker like Sisters either.
There are a ton of songs they could bring out which haven't been played before or have had a very long sabbatical... -almost anything off of Buckingham Nicks -Crystal -Blue Letter -I Don't Want to Know -The Ledge -Save Me a Place -Angel -Sisters of the Moon -That's Alright -Book of Love -Seven Wonders -Big Love (full band) -Tango in the Night -Thrown Down -Everybody Finds Out -Steal Your Heart Away -Bleed to Love Her (which would have been a popular choice for the SYW tour I would have thought....plenty of exposure from The Dance) I liked Say You Love Me, but I thought they could have done a little better in their choice of "Chris songs"....Oh Daddy, Brown Eyes, Hold Me, Little Lies were four off the top of my head I thought they could have really done something with last year. |

Thrown Down just HAS to be done live. It's too good not to! As for Everybody Finds Out, I remember someone on here (can't think who) suggesting a great idea for it... If they mashed it up with a full band version of Big Love, going into it part way through Big Love and then going back into Big Love just after Stevie's "Don't you know, don;t you knooooow"...the strings would bridge the 2 songs really well! |
If I was in charge, they'd do Tango in the Night.
In an ideal world for everyone else, I think Sisters of the Moon would get the most votes. In the real world, though, Blue Letter is most likely. |
Sisters or Angel

Hypnotized.

in my opinion - I'd like to see them open with I Don't Wanna Know. I think that would BLOW people away. They sing in sync the whole song, which makes it difficult. Aside from it being a great song - it replaced Silver Springs on Rumours and for all these reasons, it has great possibilities. Then into the Chain. The other option is to end the show - with Crystal. I think that would be amazing. Or both!
|
Definetly Sisters Of The Moon should be brough back to the concert set list i think we all want this song back to concert stage and it should be they will be awesome doing it again they have not played that song since the Mirage tour back in 1982.:blob2::blob1::blob2::blob1::blob2::blob1::blob2::blob1:
