Generally I dislike television... but I do like these shows:

Seinfeld
The Muppet Show
Arrested Development
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Forensic Files (narrated by Peter Thomas - awesome!)

And lately I've been watching the David Tennant version of Doctor Who. Silly, but entertaining.

It's hard for me to get into many new shows(if I can find a black and white Andy Griffith show, I never change the channel, I don't care how many times I've seen the episode), but I love:
Modern Family(I used to be a huge Al Bundy fan), and
The Middle

kak125 02-19-2010 03:41 PM

Desperate Housewives
Celeb Rehab
One Tree Hill
LA Ink
Keeping up with the Kardashians

Sharon Gless! She was fantastic!

And to the folks who love Torchwood..I discovered that quite late in the day...after I'd been to Barrowmans Cardiff apartment...

Ahah, there's an episode of Doctor who in which David Tennant licks a large wooden door to taste the Mistletoe Varnish.

There is no mistletoe. It's paint.

jaycee 02-21-2010 08:45 AM

Ah, TV... my pastime before my interest in computers.
There's only a few shows that I love to watch:
Lost
Hungry Beast (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hungry_Beast, http://hungrybeast.abc.net.au/)
Media Watch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_W...8TV_program%29, http://www.abc.net.au/mediawatch/) (although I have a habit of forgetting it's on)
24 (although it feels pretty clichéd now)
And I enjoy watching cricket if it's on, although I usually do something else at the same time... usually computing (researching Linux and FOSS, or visiting here) or reading a book.
I also enjoy Top Gear and Mythbusters, but don't watch them often nowadays...

Fiver 02-23-2010 01:39 AM

I love Mythbusters! And Dirty Jobs, Deadliest Catch, and Man Vs. Wild. We pretty much leave our TV on the Discovery Channel all day.

Everything else I watch on DVD or Netflix.

Some of my faves are:

NCIS
The Office
Red Dwarf
Lost
Farscape
Dr. Who

and Jeopardy! I never miss Jeopardy. I'm forgetting some older shows.. I remember our local PBS station would play alot of British comedies that I grew up watching, like Keeping Up Appearances and Are You Being Served? and we still watch Masterpiece Theatre regularly.

iamnotafraid 02-25-2010 08:16 AM

Without football, I watch a little bit of Nascar (DALE JR.).
And though I hate to admit it, I kind of like Pawn Stars.

Don't be ashamed of liking that show! I freaking love it. :)

Dodfather 02-25-2010 10:25 AM

Did anyone watch Without A Trace? It ran for seven seasons and I swaer I'm the only person out of all my friends who ever watched it! The final episode was shown here in the UK a few weeks ago...I miss it already! Thank God for dvds.

trackaghost 02-25-2010 11:11 AM

Mad Men is my favourite TV show these days. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, it's so beautifully written, acted and filmed. It's definitely the best looking show on TV I think.

I have tried to watch this show like 3 times. Cannot get into it. Don't know why, it seems like a show I would love.

Hi Paula! :)

I love Mad Men but sometimes I have a hard time wanting to watch it, it it can feel like doing homework. There's so much nuance, and so many details to pay attention to. We let a Sunday night go by where we didn't watch it, and then another, and now I have like 9 episodes waiting to be watched of the last season still on my DVR :P
