"It Was I" video

Hey everyone
I've been lurking the forum for a while and haven't made very many posts, but I read CAH's book and reallly wanted to see this video she talks about "debuting in" and also just want to see/hear the song in general!
I've searched YouTube but to no avail
Does anyone know where I can find it?
Thanks :D

StreetAngel95 02-17-2010 06:18 PM

does anybody have it or want to upload it? i would really have to have it on my hardrive!

PS calendula, i love your siggie quote! One of my fave Lindsey lines!

calendula 02-17-2010 07:28 PM

Darn!
I just watched the video for "Wrong" and it was interesting haha
I think it was behind the music interview where Lindsey said the song was about Mick and laughed at the "young mr. rockcock" part

And thanks! I love the quote as well :p

And when Mick heard that Lindsey said "Mr. Rockcock" was him, he said, "I'm very flattered." That was classic.

Everyone thought "piggy in the middle" was Mick!

It was. The whole thing was about Mick, and his stinking book. (Which I thought stunk because 90% of it had already come out. Not ENOUGH inside information, IMO.)

Which was weird, because when VH-1 was playing the video in 1992, they didn't bleep it then!!!!!

calendula 02-18-2010 08:35 AM

lol go figure!
thanks so much for the link, i'm watching it right at this moment haha
i loved Mick's response and how he acted so clueless

calendula 02-18-2010 08:40 AM

Wowwww Carol was in it for like 0.2 seconds
Lindsey looked cute in it though
I find it annoying how in her book she over exaggerates her part in Fleetwood Mac and Lindsey's success.
Ah well
Thanks again!

StreetAngel95 02-18-2010 08:57 AM

mmhm, no prob...yeah it was a bit dissapointing. The way everybody treated it like it was amazing or something...

Sahara 02-19-2010 05:05 AM

It Was I is the primary reason I can't bring myself to buy the Law and Order album.
The pink shirt in the video did not help...! :p

I love this song and I am dying to see this video! Anyone still have it? :blob1:

Nico 05-06-2011 11:41 PM

I can't stand that video. It's so bad it's funny.

But I LOVE the freakin' song. Love it. I don't know why even because it's not like it's some grand piece of work. It's just so...fun. Ugh, I'm going to go listen to it now after this.

I'm listening to it right now! :blob1::blob2:

I know why I love it either but I do sooo much!! It's fun and ironic considering the way the LB and CAH relationship turned out.

He has a song on his Under The Skin album called It Was You. He comes full circle.

I know. I love IWY as well. It's just a sweet song and the video is too cute. LB compiled all that home-video-like documentary footage into some worthwhile theatrics because every time I see that clip of Stella being held up as she leers down at the camera...I can't even.

At the Saban theater, when Kristen was holding Stella she was playful with her and kept nudging her with her head and trying to get her to smile or sing or dance. Stella was having none of it. Made me wonder if she was up past her bedtime -- or just grumpy like Dad:lol:.

Probably the latter. Lindsey said so himself that Stella was the most like him in that one tour video. I believe he said she was pushy or something to that degree, and she certainly has an edge to her personality that is quite captivating like her daddy.

Yes, he said pushy and intense and that one article said she was bossing around the family's dogs.

I would love to see this but the link isn't working, can anyone help me out?

sweetdudejim 04-15-2012 09:07 PM

I'd like to see the video too. Anybody wanna up it?

redtulip 04-15-2012 09:57 PM

You can find it on Buckingham Nicks under Buckingham Solo, multimedia.

The "It Was I" video is horrific. It makes "Trouble" look like a cinematic masterpiece.

http://www.buckinghamnicks.net/lb/im...BuckItWasI.jpg

The concept could've gone somewhere but its execution is inane, and Lindsey is so awkward all one can do is cringe. Lindsey's sex appeal, where hast thou gone? Who is this effeminate man with the embarrassing hairdo futilely trying to make "sexy" faces at the camera while poorly lip-syncing "dadadadadadadadadada"?

It doesn't help that the song is insipid, IMHO. They picked that rusty old number as the second single? mmmmmkay. I'd have gone with "Mary Lee Jones."

Ah well. We've all done things we're not proud of.

The kiss in the Big Love video is also very awkward.
