If You Could Spend Two Hours With Any Ledgie. . . .

If you could spend two hours with any Ledgie (whether you have done so or not already), who would it be?

In my case, I'd love spending time with all of you (whom I'm aware of), but I'm going to say ragandbone because she is such a great singer & it would be a lot of fun just to find a piano or a guitar & do all our favorite pop & folk songs.

We would do CRYSTAL, THE WEIRD BEAST, PINKY, ATLANTIC CITY, TWILIGHT ON THE TRAIL, GLORY BOUND, IF I HAD A HAMMER, TALK OF THE TOWN, & so many others.

fringed n fab 02-11-2010 12:11 AM

Brandon and Louie both. And of course Viv could come along too and join us lol. I just think these people are so genuine and cool and are so easy to take up with ; ) and I loved that.

carrie721 02-11-2010 12:24 AM

um. hmm. let's see. i've spent lots of time with paula, cammie, sparky, theresa (bikerchic), lisa (whose friendship predates the ledge), and bucky bill & mikeschmike, who are now bant.

i've spent time chillin' like a villain with vanessa, liam, curtis (who battered me savagely with an empty rolling rock six-pack many moons ago in a hotel in downtown cleveland ... but not before we almost got carjacked), kate (and her hot mom), and marissa; and jazzy generously let me stay with him when i was stranded in NYC two years ago.

i'd love to meet drummerdeanna, who doesn't post anymore, and miss vicky, who's a rare commodity these days. chuck (nixxxed) is on my list as well. maria, next time you're in socal, we're having a beer or 13.

zombie is rad.

i wanna split a fifth of something expensive with strand.

and i still think jbrownjr should have lunch with me some time.

oh, and i've already said i wanna go on a date with sharona, but it's worth repeating.

Sometimes I think the boots must scare Brandon from hanging with me lol, cause I wasn't picked. But I do leave them at home you know.

fringed n fab 02-11-2010 02:48 AM

That would be one awesome sandwich Louie.

mylittledemon 02-11-2010 03:03 AM

My favorite "Stevie boots" are the ones she wore on the Rolling Stone cover when The Dance came out. Bitchin'.

Yeah the tan beige ones are badass. I love the pale beige ones too. She wore the tan ones the entire show in Cincinnati during the Dance tour and they looked so good with her black skirts. I like the black boots because they go so well with almost everything, especially black skirts and all black tops off that whole witchy look if you're going for that. But in truth I just think it all looks pretty when on.

gldstwmn 02-11-2010 10:00 AM

Well there's two. Strandie ( I miss you honey) and Sulamith. We must travel again.

Thanks for the vote of coolness! If I still lived where I used to (Ashland, KY), it would have been easier to meet up.

Aww, shucks!
I'd have to say tillthefirefades, for much the same reason as he just stated...
carrie721, as she always has something insightful to say in a lot of different areas...
holidayroad, as we're both primarily Lindsey fans, although he's been a fan much longer than I have (by default, actually, as I'm only 20)...
StreetAngel95, to find out all about her time at the restaurant where a waitress was also a FM fan (I never seem to get to enjoy those sorts of happenings)...
daniellaaarisen, to see her assortment of Stevie Nicks outfits...
And BellaDonna93, to hear her cover Stevie's songs all day long! :)

I was gonna go for you guys too, much fun drinking would be had, I'm sure... I have to agree with Brandon (as ever) about riding in Louie's car, but the question is, would it be too much if I wore my Teen Wolf t-shirt?

That is, if you guys think I'd make a sufficient drinking buddy?!

HomerMcvie 02-11-2010 02:49 PM

I hate to pick just one, although I would have to name Michellebunchofnumbersaftername as my #1.

CLOSE runner ups would be(in no particular order):
David
jbrownsjr
Sara1998
Macfan57
Deanna
Cammie
Liam
Brandon
Chili

I'm sure I've forgotten at least a couple of peeps. :sorry:

I'm sure I've forgotten at least a couple of peeps. :sorry:

This needs to be arranged. We're just being lazy. I'm mean, seriously... the farthest is me from Michelle, and that is only maybe 4 hours. You're only 1 hour south of me.

Anyhow, I've met a few people on here. Everyone has been so cool.
I don't think I could make a list. At least not a complete one.
No order:
Homer
Carrie
Jill
Pip
Jannie
Chili

P.S. holidayroad is a girl :) We both had it wrong! (I thought you were a girl when you posted about writing Christine a letter).

For me, since tilthefirefades and jaycee seem to think I'm okay, I'd have to say the same for them. I wouldn't mind meeting Lee and ~GoldDustWoman~. Also, chriskisn and chiliD, so I could talk about Bob Welch and Danny Kirwan! (and talk chriskisn out of liking Bob Weston)

ragandbone 02-11-2010 04:33 PM

David, let's play some music when I am in LA next time!
That's a good song list to start with, and I am going to add to it.

I did get to meet a bunch of Ledgies, about 3 years ago in Berkeley, and that was really fun, but there are many more of you I would like to meet. I also would like to see Jazmen perform sometime.
Oh, and I think Strand and I once mentioned drinking some bourbon...

There are too many to start- really! All of you all are cool in your own way!

Actually, I'd have then Flux Capacitor t-shirt on and then when we hit 88 and I spill my beer all over myself (with a cry of "Great Scott!") I could change to the Teen Wolf one. Seriously, I have both! M J Fox rules!!

louie, could the 3 of us somehow make your DeLorean fly?

Betsy 02-11-2010 05:16 PM

Lord Child - I would love to see my beloved Gldstwmn again - Sulamith too! i spoke to her fairly recently (last year), she seemed well.

Eliza and I could move mountains it seems.

There are many more (Sara, Carrie, and so on and certainly not exhaustive by any means)

Sadly, there have been no bigLedgie get togethers since the Vegas Gold Dust tours - and the SYW ones were lots of fun, even when the filly factions were fighting at the end. Such is and was the end of an era. Not that now is not fun, but those times on and off of here were halcyon days to me . . . and your memories are all that is left for you now

Note - it takes forever for me to log on to the Ledge. I have to do it many times and then sometimes if I get in, I cannot post. it says the server is too busy. I wish it could be fixed. Maybe if the moderators, who have my permission, changed my email to [email protected] instead of [email protected] it might work better. I cannot do it myself as it says server too busy. Note - if a moderator does change the email address, please email me at both [email protected] and strandinthewind to let me know :woohoo:

Note - for those who want to contact me about NOTS (COUGH PAULA COUGH) email me at [email protected] :wavey:

Dave & I are both Daves, so we would have a great time. We'd probably play some Chris McVie music: SKIES THE LIMIT (in D major), NEVER FORGET (in D major), PROVE YOUR LOVE (in D major), GET LIKE YOU USED TO BE (in D major), HYPNOTIZED (in C minor), HOLD ME (in G major), TEMPORARY ONE (in D major), etc. Dave could play his guitar or his bass & I'd play my little red devil, my Nord.

Chili keeps me on my toes musically. Once, when we were playing DREAMS, my Korg X5 synthesizer started honking or something. He looked over at me with a quizzical look in his eyes. And then he started yelling at me because I didn't have a standard-size amplifier--I only had a practice amp. So he went with me to Guitar Center later to get a big keyboard amp. (It was the Roland K-300, I think.)

Well:o Thanks for thinking of me....and of course, if you're willing to kill a couple of hours with me, then the feeling is mutual.

And, David, damn it...for 11 years I lived less than 3 miles from you and we saw each other, what?, 2 times in that span?? Now that I'm 30 miles down the 22 fwy, we need to do another music store tour!!!

I'd have to really work on anything from BTM. I rarely listen to it anymore. I think I prefer Time to BTM!

I had my last keyboard amp stolen(an old PV KB300), and have only played through our monitor system, ever since(as long as everyone has their own mix, it really doesn't make much difference). At home, I play through a bass amp!
Although I just bought a Fender 1965 Twin Reverb reissue, last trip to Nashvegas....as loud and clean as they are, it would probably make a good keyboard amp.
