What old shows would you like to see?

Stepping into your time machine where would you go? A Fritz concert? Buckingham Nicks show? 1975 tour? Mirage tour? RAL show? Etc., Etc.

Obviously, it’ll be very cool to see a very young Stevie and Linds when they were in Fritz, but I don’t think I’d enjoy it as much as a Buckingham Nicks gig where I actually know the songs.

I’d also love to see a Tusk show (for Sara, Sisters, and Think About Me) and be at the Wild Heart tour. I love that record and I’d especially like to attend the Radio City Music Hall show to see Stevie and Tom Petty do ‘I Will Run to You.’

do I have to pick just one? Here are top shows:

TUSK
MIRAGE
ROCK A LITTLE

ButterCookie 02-08-2010 02:56 PM

My top one would be the Rumours Tour. Second being a Bella Donna-era show

holidayroad 02-08-2010 03:17 PM

Buckingham Nicks or Mirage for me!!!

Sahara 02-08-2010 04:16 PM

The Dance and Tusk ... but most of all Gift of Screws. I know it's not an 'old' show but I didn't get to see it!! Seeing Lindsey on Unleashed really impressed upon me just how good a time this is to see him live, and I think the GoS tour setlist was his finest.
He might still take it to Europe ... maybe?

Sanne2 02-08-2010 04:36 PM

I show from 1976, with a crazy furious Rhiannon.

ragrsrocalot 02-08-2010 05:49 PM

Rumours
Mirage
Wild Heart

louielouie2000 02-08-2010 06:08 PM

I'd give about anything to have seen the LA Forum Mirage shows... they were just so on fire, downright angry and fierce. The proverbial plane was about to completely spin out of control... but they were at their absolute drug fueled height in the meantime!

I'd LOVE to go back and see insane, hot mess Stevie during the Rock A Little tour too. She was literally falling off the cliff, but it was one hell of a spectacle until she went splat!

I'd love to see a Tusk show too. There was such an air of artistic expression and craftsmanship about those shows. Kind of a last gasp of the Mac being a massively creative entity before egos and politics completely took the wheel.

StreetAngel95 02-08-2010 06:33 PM

mirage definetly-------i get chills everytime i seee that Sisters performance....and Rhiannon.....oh god how i wish i was a child of the 70s or 80s!!!!!

I would go to the very first Fleetwood Mac show ever that had Lindsey and Stevie
performing as part of the band. 'Cause of the whole "beginning of an era" feeling
that I think would go with it; and because I think there would be a mixed feeeling
of happiness that they finally made it big, and the two of them having NO clue just
HOW big it was gonna be. Sort of like a rocketship that's about to take off on a long
journey - the feeling of being there "at the beginning."

Ditto. I'd like to see a Buckingham Nicks show, but with the knowledge of what they'd become so I could go around acting like a visionary.

The final WWD (is that what it was called) show or a Mirage show.

Musicman408 02-08-2010 10:31 PM

I wish I could go as early as possible, just so there would be more years that I could enjoy Stevie and the Mac!!!!

cristochango 02-08-2010 10:32 PM

Rumours and Tusk

gypsy4life 02-08-2010 10:48 PM

Rumours...and the NEXT Fleetwood Mac tour..lol!!

daniellaaarisen 02-08-2010 10:58 PM

Gimme a 1976 show with a fierce "Rhiannon," Mobile 1980 and a really freakin' good Mirage show and I would be set for life.

Macfanforever 02-08-2010 11:31 PM

I would like to see FM 1975 shows to FM 1982 mirage tour,Stevie's solo 1981 WWD to 1983 Wildheart tour,At the time I was young, and I was in the hills and been a country bumpkin with country music.Yes good ole down home country music. Not todays country tunes.

vivfox 02-09-2010 01:47 AM

Matthew 02-09-2010 11:54 AM

I wouldn´t mind any of show... just beeing there whenever...

But if I could, or if I had to pick just one... probably some show from Street Angel tour or The Dance tour. But I woudn´t mind any of ´86-´91 shows too. But, what am I saying... I wouldn´t mind any.... I would be happy to see Unleashed show again too :).

equeen102289 02-09-2010 01:09 PM

If I had a time machine, it would be my most prized possession :]

(Not in any order)
1. 9-3-75 Wallingford, Connecticut
2. St. Louis show '79 (the one they used the majority of the footage for the Tusk Doc)
3. HBO special show (I think thata was like 12-12-81 or something)
4. 9-5-83 Dallas, Texas
5. Red Rocks 86 (or any other RAL show. Love em all)
6. Any Dance show

michelej1 02-09-2010 01:17 PM

BTM, Cow Palace, December 1990.

Michele

vivfox 02-09-2010 01:23 PM

Oh yeah, Amber reminded me that I never saw a Bella Donna Tour concert. That would be great to travel back for. Bella Donna, Blue Lamp & Think About It LIVE.

BellaDonna93 02-09-2010 04:10 PM

All the shows...LOL...but well, thinking of how cool it would've been to be at a Rumours show...or like a '75 tour show...with The Mac. But with Stevie, how cool would it have been to be there in the audience at the Red Rocks show!! XD I just wish I was born like in the 60s...not '93..LOL

london 02-09-2010 10:12 PM

A tie between seeing Buckingham Nicks or the 1975 Trod Nossel show in Wallingford. I live 3 miles from this recording studio. Too bad I was only 10 when this show took place. Legend has it the band had too good a time in a local restaurant and was asked to leave!

hippilil86 02-10-2010 09:50 AM

Mirage....God I love that time in the life of Fleetwood Mac.

I wish I owned a Mirage dvd, so I didn't have to keep watching it on Youtube.

I don't think you would make it out of either show alive. We'd have to scrape you off the ceiling.
