On a somewhat related note, did he ever release Under the Skin on vinyl? It would be pretty cool to have his entire catalog on vinyl.

Have you guys checked on Gemm.com or Musicstack.com? You might luck out and find one on there. They usually have interesting or rare vinyl. I have purchased from both with good outcomes. :wavey:

I checked both out just now. Neither has OOTC on vinyl.

Well, I hope someone here got it, that's for sure. After I wrote my post last night my boyfriend did my taxes and I discovered I was going to get a lot more back than I thought I would. So I decided this would be my one splurge and started watching it again this morning. I put my friend in charge of it because I'm at work and wouldn't be able to follow the auction until it closed. She was BBMing me asking if I wanted to increase until the very last minute but I had to draw the line somewhere and lost. :( If the winner is out there, I hope you enjoy it for me. :)

I already checked musicstack the other day when I started to get the idea this auction was going to get out of hand. I didn't find anything there. I'll definitely look on the other site, though. Thanks.

I have to say I've never seen OOTC on eBay or Musicstack/Gemm before. I'm sure it has been but I think it's pretty rare for one to pop up.

curious, what do you think a signed OOTC would fetch?

I don't know how you go about making vinyl, but I think someone made a vinyl Under the Skin and put it on Ebay. The audio probably came from the CD. A friend bought it, but he didn't know it was a fake at that time and neither did I. Actually, I think he only paid like $50 for it.

GOS vinyl had a brief release; with a few lucky ledgies receiving.

That's funny you say that. I recently started collecting vinyl and was only really buying used stuff. The first brand new album I bought was The Roots "Rising Down". The moment I took it out of it's packaging I put it right back in. It was so pristine I didn't want to do anything to ruin or scratch it. Then I got Gift of Screws for Christmas and I instantly wanted to play it on my record player. Like I just had to listen to it on vinyl. So it wound up being tha album that got me over my "new album" fear. I never even thought of keeping it in it's packaging for safe keeping. Just a random too long story that your comment reminded me of. :)

I think they're looking for UTS on vinyl not GOS. GOS is more readily available.

I just received a nice clean VINYL copy of 'OOTC' in the mail today - for only $35 including shipping - from some guy in the Netherlands through the 'Discogs' website, and it is just AWESOME

I am enjoying this great album far more now than I ever did on CD.

I will probably want to hold onto this baby for a while... BUT, I suppose for the right price, I could consider letting it go. Anybody care to make me an offer, just out of curiosity?

I am the one who was the buyer of this Item. It is in very good shape but there is one thing that may be missing. The vinyl has no inner sleeve and I am not sure if it came with one.

Nicks Fan- you mean about 2 years ago on eBay you bought the vinyl copy of 'OOTC' that holidayroad was referring to?... Don't worry, you're not missing anything because the vinyl edition of OOTC does not come with any special inner sleeve, just a generic white paper inner.

I want a copy :(
