Rock A Little Tour - Jones Beach

Another great show from the RAL Tour. This one is cutoff shortly into Rhiannon and is missing HAEWAFY completely. Stevie wears the feather headress during a couple songs...if you're into that sorta thing. ;)

I cut the beginning of Edge (to just before Stevie comes on) so you can hear Stevie talk after the song. She mentions that this was a rescheduled show and "sorry the first show got cancelled...but this is your rain date!" I thought the New York ledgies that were in attendance that night might enjoy this part. :p

Enjoy folks. Next up is a real rarity...Cuyahoga Falls, OH (Blossom Music Center) 1983. Not the best of quality but to the best of my knowledge this is the earliest audience shot Stevie solo show in circulation.

This show has the best Edge Walk ever.

Man, that's a Stevie Nicks from another lifetime.

Thanks for converting & uploading, Tim!

Just the initial spin at the beginning of OTR is priceless! I LOVE this

I wondered where you were hiding David. I thought maybe you were holding out for the Toronto '89 show I'm going to upload...since we all know the OSOTM Tour is your favorite.

Outside the Rain

I remember forcing my friends Lynn and Tracy to watch this on VHS with me around 1987, Lynn's reaction to the vocal that Stevie bellows out at 02:58 was "Oh my God, she sounds like she is losing her balance and falling backwards!" :D

But to me then, and NOW, it sounds heavenly.....

OMG John, I know! I went to heaven, too. Could you hear me yelling in the audio? I think I can make out your screech. ;)

I guess not everyone is enjoying these. Someone just posted on the Jones Beach Stand Back "this is sad". If they think that was sad wait until they see the Jones Beach '91 show I will be posting.

I love the passion she has, so sexy and ferocious. At 02:46 she barks out "go on, GET OUT!" and it feels like something from a soap opera, she's throwing her no-good, two-timing man out of her house.
Lovely lovely lovely

thanks. again. these shows are great. any chance that there is a bootleg from the cleveland (cuyahoga/blossom) show for the rock a little tour. that was first ever stevie show.

Ewwwwww, please if you must, post this show after all the other ones (83 and 89). Don't get me wrong, I am eternally grateful for these postings. But the Jones Beach 91 is one of the most bland, dry, and boring Stevie bootlegs I have ever watched.

Also Tim, I had no idea that it was you who posted the Stand Back video from Chicago 2008. I can't even tell you how many times I have watched that video. It is one of my absolute favorite performances. I saw her in Boston that year (with the red cape hehe) and Stand Back was just as notable. Thank you for getting that on tape. And what seats!

That was one of the first videos I added to me Youtube account and is one of my favorites as well. It's a shame I did not get the beginning of the song on tape because I was trying to take pictures (that didn't really turn out anyway!)

It's probably sad to them because they were not there. Thank you for posting, and sharing this with all of us.

Where were you sitting? Here are copies of my stubs from the tour. I was just curious if we were near each other. Good times indeed.

To have experienced Stevie on the RAL tour was an experience in itself, but to have experienced the people at the venues, now that was another trip all of it's own. There was a vibe in the air, and everyone was in tune with it. It seemes people were all their for the same reason, to enjoy the music, and get high. It was the 80's. Cocaine was offered to you in the bathroom from friendly fans that felt like sharing, weed was in the air, mouths, and lungs for all to have a major buzz, people had beers and flasks in their hands. With all this said, it was just to have a rockin time. We the auidence were having our own party with Stevie, who was in pretty much the same head as her audience. She knew it and we knew it. That also comes along with the memory of the concert, not just the performance but the people around you, groups of really nice people, fans, friends. I remember the experience as a whole. It was wild. I was 16, young, and grateful to have been a part of it.

Does anyone know if Stevie ever played the Garden either before or after the August 5. 1986 RAL show?

With Fleetwood Mac she did, on both the 1977 & the 1979 tours. But that was her first time at the Garden as a solo act.

ragrsrocalot 01-31-2010 02:58 PM

Thank you. Has she ever been back as a solo act, or was that the only time?
