What song would you have picked as the title of the SYW Album?

Steal Your Heart Away

tilthefirefades 01-24-2010 02:37 AM

If I wanted to be cheesy and cliche, then it would have to be Destiny Rules. But another good choice is What's The World Coming To.

jaycee 01-24-2010 05:26 AM

Silver Girl. It's an obvious choice...
 :] :p

mylittledemon 01-24-2010 05:29 AM

Destiny Rules.

Dodfather 01-24-2010 06:46 AM

Everybody Finds Out.

By the time of this album everyone knew so much about what had gone on with the band, or at least thought they did, that the title would work... maybe with a question mark next to it? haha.

chriskisn 01-24-2010 07:57 AM

Hmm...either Say Goodbye or Goodbye Baby would have worked. Might well be the last album we ever see out of them!

TrueFaith77 01-24-2010 09:18 AM

Say You Will

or

Gift of Screws

Tusk! 01-24-2010 10:43 AM

Thrown Down, I feel it is the best song on the album.

I think this is actually genius. Great title.

I think SYW would have made a good title, but I like Thrown Down too, just because it gives you that same sense of seismic action that the word "Unleashed" does. Makes it seem like something passionate and furious is happening -- even if it's not.

Michele

jrpjr 01-24-2010 03:38 PM

i would have titled it: "What's The World Coming To" or "Illume" reasons: the change in music itself and the industry for "whats the world..." and a vow of hope for the world for "illume"

OutsideTheRain 01-24-2010 03:46 PM

I remember Stevie being quoted in Rolling Stone as saying she wanted the album to be called "Infatuation", after a dream she had. I think that title would have been better and would gave the project somewhat of a theme. (This being said they should have shortened the album around that theme- 12 songs)

AgeOldDesire 01-24-2010 04:28 PM

Buckingham Nicks, Too

*with a Special Guests Mick Fleetwood & John McVie sticker on the cover*

Yeah, that was also quoted in the SYW tourbook. I guess in the end, they may have thought it had too much of a Rod Stewart sound?

This made me lol.

But I actually don't think Say You Will is a bad title for an album. I don't care for that song the most out of all of the tracks or anything, but it's got a nice ring to it. Say you will...what? What do you want me to say I will do?

I think Say You Will is a fitting name. Buckingham Nicks, Too is also good. I have often expressed to my husband how much I thought there should be another Buckingham Nicks album. When he saw that Christine was not in FM that time around, he was like 'Isn't this Buckingham Nicks enough for you?' I'm just like 'you just don't get it!'

jcalzaretta 01-24-2010 07:28 PM

I like the title Say You Will. The only other choice, in my mind, if it had to be a song on the record is Destiny Rules.

Richard B 01-25-2010 01:40 AM

Running Through The Garden

I like Say You Will as a title though...but after listening to the album, it does seem like musicians running through a garden, in brilliant colors of music: random and disjointed.

Meowi 01-25-2010 03:12 AM

Goodbye Baby, Now that sounds good!

Think of the baby as the Rumours-era Mac, and now that baby has gone - the album is in form of a spirit.

Villavic 01-25-2010 05:07 PM

Destiny Rules goes well with the band.
What's the world coming to, went well with the decade.
Thrown Down, maybe because is one of the best songs.

I vote for Destiny Rules

This was my first thought when I read the title of this thread. It would have been perfect.

Yes, I agree. It's the first song title that came to my mind when I saw the thread title. It's sort of the opposite of Rumours, and full of intrigue.

This is my pick as well. Or Destiny Rules.

Sahara 02-04-2010 08:15 AM

Thrown Down -- Michele's analysis puts it better than I could!

Now I really want to go and listen to the whole album ...

StreetAngel95 02-14-2010 09:11 PM

"Miranda" -----because it's my name and i would've loved to shove in everybody's faces - "I HAVE A SONG AND ALBUM NAMED AFTER ME BY FLEETWOOD MAC!!!!":lol::]

StandbackStevie 02-14-2010 10:14 PM

I would think "Running Through The Garden" would be a good title for the cd as well i do like Say You Will myself too.

Agreed.

But I vote for What's the World Coming To. Destiny rules as a title seems like shtick a little bit, to me.

bluefox4000 02-23-2010 10:29 AM

Thrown Down. Absolutely.

I agree -- it's a great song, but a flat, throw-away album title.

Christopher 02-25-2010 12:32 PM

I like Say You Will as the title....That said, a close second out of all the other song choices on SYW is definitely "Destiny Rules" hands down. Thrown Down is a great song but a lousy CD title.

gretchen 02-25-2010 12:38 PM

Thrown Down definitely!

PenguinHead 03-04-2010 02:46 PM

How about "Sans Chris"?

Hahahahah

It's not exactly a song, but I'd pick "The Garden" as the title. I'd completely rearrange the track listing though, and the first song would be Steal Your Heart Away.
