Stevie Album of the Moment- Which Are You Listening To/Craving

Pretty self explanatory.

I was sitting on the couch watching TV with mom and all of a sudden got the urge to listen to RAL, so tomorrow I will probably be jamming to some Sister Honey the whole day!

tilthefirefades 01-10-2010 12:27 AM

For me it's been TWH, especially Sable on Blond and Nightbird. I've also been listening to the songs Bella Donna and Outside The Rain nonstop.

GypsyBlueEyes 01-10-2010 12:43 AM

Street Angel atm. Most people seem to really dislike it but I love it. I don't care that much for Jane but I absolutely love all the other songs.

daniellaaarisen 01-10-2010 02:27 AM

Brook, I'm so tempted to steal your signature. I am obsessed.

I'm in a Trouble in Shangri-La stage right now, incuding all the fantastic demos from this time period (notably "Space Needle"). I'm kinda having my own "trouble in Shangri-La" moment right now so the album is really striking a chord with me.

ButterCookie 01-10-2010 05:39 AM

It's Trouble in Shangri-La for me too! I can NOT get enough of it :]

Aussie W/Heart 01-10-2010 07:27 AM

Thanks to all you generous ledge'es out there:thumbsup: I haven't stopped listening to Stevie's Demo's & unreleased songs I can't get enough of forest of the black rose's & Joan of Arc, Rhiannon Rosebud 77 & HSML demo, It sure beats only hearing these songs on You Tube, so now I'm able to crank up my 50 downloads driving in my car or lay a wake till 3am headphone's on, I truly do believe that all of my Xmas's have come at once:blob2: Thank You sooooo much!!!:xoxo:

ragrsrocalot 01-10-2010 10:53 AM

Going back to the basics with Bella Donna lately, and totally enjoying every word, note, chord, beat, harmony, etc. Complete bliss.:D

PutTheBlameOnMe 01-10-2010 10:59 AM

I watched the Live In Chicago DVD yesterday (how absolutely stunning does Stevie look and sound!?), so now have a complete craving for anything Stevie, lol.

I have been listening to Timespace this afternoon and I'm just making some mixed CD's to put in my car

gypsy4life 01-10-2010 01:39 PM

I'm in a Bombay Sapphires and Illume kind of mood latley. I know, Illume is not a solo Stevie song, but, anyway...

louielouie2000 01-10-2010 03:11 PM

I've been listening to Other Side Of The Mirror incessantly as of late, which is weird for me. I call it a "mood album"... I've gotta be in the mood to listen to it!

My perennial guilty pleasure off the album is Alice... it's flat out awful, but I loooove it! I think because it's a hugely escapist song (and album for that matter), and I'm going through a bunch of garbage right now I want to escape from. That's the one thing Stevie has always been unsurpassed at: taking you away from your own crappy existence, and whisking you away into a land of gypsies, castles, and white winged doves.

AliceLover 01-10-2010 03:26 PM

The great thing about technology is that I rarely ever listen to whole albums at a time anymore. I have every thing on my Ipod, which goes directly into my car stereo. I generally listen to things sporadically. Usually when FM is on tour I'll listen to more FM, same with when Stevie is on tour. I listen to Lindsey solo stuff all times of the year.

Musicman408 02-14-2010 09:56 PM

Right now, in honor of Valentine's Day, I am totally rocking the Wild Heart album! Loving it!!! :)

StandbackStevie 02-14-2010 10:06 PM

I need to start getting back in the habit of that. For the past 6 months or so, I've kind of been listening to a lot of other people- but i STRONGLY DESIRE to get back hardcore into the Mac and Stevie!

What's awful about it?

I've been listening to WH. Sable On Blonde. Gate and Garden. Nightbird. Stuff like that.

Artemis 02-15-2010 08:29 AM

I woke up this morning with Think About It in my head for some reason, so I've been listening to Bella Donna for hours :blob2:

gypsy4life 02-15-2010 08:53 AM

Rosebud Rhiannon.....love the intensity!

StreetAngel95 02-15-2010 10:07 AM

Yeah me too!!! I've been listening to other artists and I'm starting to get back into the groove of listening to Stevie and the Mac.

Musicman408 02-22-2010 03:54 PM

Right now I'm actually listening to some Unleashed Live- pretty awesome!

tilthefirefades 02-22-2010 03:56 PM

I have had "I Will Run To You" and "Insider" on repeat for a few days now. Love the duets with Tom!

MariaA37 02-22-2010 08:16 PM

I've been listening to a CD I made and I keep getting stuck on Blue Water.

I just can not get enough of The Wild Heart right now. It's weird - I've been a Stevie/Mac fan for 10 years now and have owned this album for long time but I could never get into it. I always LOVED Stand Back, Enchanted and the title track but I could take or leave the others. I had just accepted that it was a fairly patchy record. Now though, it's as if I;ve discovered the album for the first time!!

I can't stop listening to Wild Heart, Gate And Garden, Nightbird and Nothing Ever Changes! I mean, I knew all the words to them obviously but just never really got them until now... it's like I have a new Stevie album to plisten to!

I know some albums take some time to get into but this one took a ridiculous amount of time, haha!

Dreamz19 02-26-2010 05:42 AM

I go back and forth, but lately I've been listening to her demos and unreleased music the most. Today it was the Coffee Planet demos.

holidayroad 02-26-2010 09:53 AM

For reasons unknown, I got the major urge this morning to listen to both 'Crying In the Night' and 'Battle of the Dragon', repeatedly!

Musicman408 05-02-2010 11:02 AM

Right now I've got TISL playing- I love it!!

I love Alice from TOSOTM album love that one too was so glad she played Alice on that tour she did alot of songs off that album in concert which I think that tour was the most she played new songs on out of all her albums lets if i can get this right she played, Rooms On Fire, Alice, Two Kinds Of Love and Whole Lotta Of Trouble. I believe that is right which is right when she came to connecticut at the infamous swearing concert at Lake Compounce in Bristol,CT was there in center about 12th row isle seat.

I think we had a thread on it awhile back. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

iamnotafraid 05-02-2010 04:51 PM

Sadly none of her albums.
I think I'm "STEVIE BURNED OUT",
at least right now.

Same here :distress:

At least it's been about a week or so since I've listened to her....however I did listen to Mirage about 3 times over a few days ago.

fleetwoodtrick 05-02-2010 06:52 PM

The Dance... mostly Silver Springs... but I'm really digging it today for some reason. Silver Springs is one of those songs that I just can't get enough of. ESPECIALLY the Dance version.

You forgot Juliet, which was eventually dropped. But she did perform it in Mansfield. However the Bella Donna Tour had the MOST new songs performed from a new release: Bella Donna, Think About It, Stop Draggin' My Fart Around, After The Glitter Fades, Edge Of Seventeen & Outside The Rain. As well as Blue Lamp and Gold And Braid!

Maxd9 05-03-2010 06:10 AM

Rock A Little!
I downloaded the extended versions of Rock A Little, Some Become Strangers, The Nightmare and I Can't Wait and I just can't get enough at the moment. I understand all the criticisms of this album, but I absolutely adore it.
I think the 12" Version of The Nightmare is AMAZING!

Artemis 05-03-2010 09:01 AM

The Wild Heart! I really can't stop listening to it. The title track, I Will Run To You and Nothing Ever Changes are my current must-listen-to songs. Stand Back and Beauty and The Beast are also masterpieces, there's only 2 songs on the whole album that grate on me a bit, but even the two of them are better than The Highwayman >_>

For the Trouble In Shangri-La tour, she performed "Sorcerer"; "Planets Of The Universe"; "Everyday"; "Too Far From Texas"; "It's Only Love"; "Bombay Sapphires" and "Fall From Grace". Granted, these weren't all played at the one show, but they were performed at some point during the tour.

Phil, you and I are both correct. Except I forgot to mention How Still My Love from the BD Tour.

LittleCharmer 05-03-2010 11:01 AM

Trouble in Shangri-La for me, strangely. I never much liked it before.

SapphireSister 05-03-2010 11:39 AM

I happened to listen to TISL in it's entirety about 2 weeks ago (which I hadn't for a while) and was reassured what I previously thought - I'm in love with most of the songs but the ones I dislike, I really dislike.
love: TISL, Candlebright, Sorcerer, Planets, Love Is, Love Changes, Bombay Sapphires, Fall From Grace.
dislike: Everyday, TFFT, That Made Me Stronger, I miss You.
in the middle: It's Only Love
I don't typically listen to entire albums at once anymore. I have my whole Stevie collection of released and unreleased songs in my iPod and I play them randomly. Today I heard Not Make Believe and remembered how much I adore it. I have however been into Long Way to Go the last few days. Was never a favorite but loving it right now. "Have fun tell the world!".
