Cologne men's and women's
k I know some of you here are probably well versed in this subject. What do you wear and why? man or woman. I'm a Swiss Army guy all the way. It's very light and fruity(just like me:lol:) and I get alot of compliments on it. I also believe that certain fragrances go well with certain people.
|
For a girl--like for ME, haha, I highly reccommend an Italian perfume called Tocca Brigittie. They have it at Sephora. It's named after Brigitte Bardot and it smells heavenly and it is MY SCENT. The moment I smelt it, I knew it was going to be my scent.
For men--I really like Fendi. |
Stetson Black is my casual wear, because it has such a distinct great smell, and it really bumps up my self-esteem. And for really special events I always wear Drakkar Noir because it is simply divine :D
|
I've been wearing Calvin Klein's Eternity for about 10 years now. It's very crisp and modern: sweet but spicy smelling.
I'm thinking it's time for an update though. I think a more earthy, musky, spicy fragrance would be more fitting for my personality. I've just been holding off because of because of money. Been wearing a lot of the Ax body sprays until I have the extra cash to throw around :). |
I pretty much stick to Clinique Happy. It just makes me think of the good ol' summertime back in Louisiana.
|
I always wore Versace Eau Fraiche, but at the moment I love this Burberry London cologne.
On a woman i love Gucci Rush, god I'm too well versed in this subject. |
Lately I alternate between Polo Black and Hei by Alfred Sung. I also like Dolce and Gabbana.
|
anyone like Aqua Di Gio? I hear thats really popular

I was always a Davidoff 'Coolwater' fan, and in fact still like it's unusual citrus/marine fragrance. I find it to be very long-lasting, and I like how it morphs as the day progresses, really making it the wearers "own". But, I wanted to switch things up a bit so last year I started wearing Bulgari 'Homme', which is very light and has an unusual peppery spiciness.
I visited the fragrance counter last week and sampled Chanel 'Allure Homme' and decided I really liked it. I'll probably pick up a bottle next paycheck. A few months back, I started experimenting with something I found in my pharmacy called 'White Moss' from a company called Acca Kappa. It is a unisex fragrance and the company is very old, and it really does have a mossy quality which is unusual and not unpleasant. After wearing it a few times, I decided it leaned too close to the female spectrum though it is marketed as unisex. I like Calvin Klein 'Eternity', Chanel 'No 5', and Estee Lauder 'Tuberose Gardenia' for a woman. In college I usually wore patchouli oil, and sometimes Egyptian musk. When I entered the workplace, I wore patchouli and people actually complained to my face at how it smelled. One woman said "it smells like dry-cleaning fluid!" |
Truffit & Hill 1805, aftershave balm only.
|
I wear Bvlgari pour femme, and have done so for several years. I don't alter that too often, although recently I've been trying to do so. I stockpile samples (Sephora mainly) and carry those when travelling so that I'm forced to try something new.
My husband is not a big cologne wearer-he'll spritz on RL Romance once and awhile. I just got him a Burberry collection to try (5-6 mini sizes)--maybe we'll find a winner. We received a sample of I am King (by Sean John) and love love love it! It was hard to get past the name (several jokes) but it's an amazing fragrance. |
I like Opium perfume but I almost never get it because I hate spending money on myself! Samsara is also good, but it's hard to find, except for online.
|
My signature scent was L'omani Original Love for years-- I even managed to get a compliment on it from Lindsey Buckingham-- but an airport security debacle took it from me in '08, and I've never been able to find another bottle. After that, I switched to alternating among Stella by Stella McCartney, Chanel- Chance, and Fracas.
|
I wear a scent called "Rain" and I have no idea who makes it. My husband bought it for me at a boutique in Myrtle Beach and I love it. Very light and fresh.
I do love the smell of patchouli but I would never wear it as so many people are offended by it. :) I don't usually wear perfume on a daily basis and I'm not sure why. I love the smell of the lotion I use (Retro Couture- it's actually a tanning lotion, but I use it as a moisturizer because it smells SO good). I also have a scent by Aveda that is nice; it's custom made, so I don't have a name for it. John, my husband used to wear Cool Water and I LOVE it. I should buy him some more of that. He's been wearing something by Kenneth Cole that smells really nice too. |

David, I wore Aqua Di Gio for awhile, it is a nice scent. As for me, I can really wear anything- I have worn many different things over the years. Go to your local fragrance store and ask for some assistance- they will definitely hook you up! |
Usually Happy Spirit by Chopard but I've recently started alternating it with Viva la Juicy by Juicy Couture...love them both!

I usually wear Lacoste Touch of Pink or DKNY Be Delicious.
Whenever I went to London over the summer, I got Burberry Brit, Burberry Touch, and Burberry Weekend. They're all great! |
I got tired of the purple Hugo Boss stuff, & then had trouble finding Chrome Visit, so I switched to Antonio Banderas -- some blue stuff.
I like to smell like a cedarwood plank. |
Right now L'Homme Yves Saint Laurent.. Before that it was Zegna Intenso
|
I like L'Homme by YSL! I visited that at Bloomingdale's too, it's a toss-up between that and Chanel Allure Homme.
If I buy the YSL, then score one for Bloomie's marketing people, because I got turned on to it from one of those migraine-inducing advertisements in one of their catalogs. |
I have Acqua di Gio, but I rarely wear it.
|
I sometimes wear Ralph Lauren Rocks...not expensive and smells amazing
whenever I wear it, someone always comments on how good it smells |
I got Fracas for Christmas, and LOVE it! I also wear Estee Lauder Seduction and I like Pleasures in the summertime.
|
So is anyone else here a Swiss Army fan? I really like it because it lasts several hours at least 3 or4 and it has a light noe heavy scent.
|
I wear Armani Code for women. I've had strangers stop me on the street or in a bar to ask what I am wearing - it is like the perfect perfume for me.
I have a hard time with perfumes in general, something about my body chemistry. But this one is perfection on me and I've noticed it doesn't smell right on my friends that have asked to try it, so I think I lucked out, lol. If they ever stop making it, I will cry into my hat for a year. |
My signature scents are Coco Madamoiselle by Chanel or Madame by Jean-Paul Gaultier. The good thing about both is that a little goes a long way, particularly as they're quite pricey. I tend to like muskier or spicier scents which is why I like Chanel, and I like Madame because it's feminine without being tacky. It's really summery and fresh, and is mixed with orange zest, sparkling rose, musk and cedar wood.
On men, Paco Rabanne is gorgeous. I love CK aswell. |
CLEAN & KENZO Pour Homme.
|
Acqua Di Gio is my signature scent.
but I also love Chanel Chance, D&G #1, Clean Men, Bond No. 9 H.O.T., Philosophy Inner Grace and Fresh Cannabis Santal. I also love to just wear different oils from Aveda. |
I work in an office/cubicle farm so I can't really wear perfume at work because too many people in the office have "allergies." To me, leaving the house without perfume is like getting dressed without underwear. However, on the weekends, I wear Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue or Secret Charm by Victoria's Secret - which was a Christmas gift.
