Do you wear pajama's in public?
Earlier this year I noticed my 21 year old nephew wearing pajama bottoms for pants and thought it looked kinda funny. Then as time went on I noticed some young women and a lot of young men wearing them too. I also read many different places on the internet people's discussions of wearing pajama bottoms in public. A lot of people are against it and more and more I see a lot more people wearing them, especially a lot more men than women. Recently I saw a pair that I had to have. They have that black and green camouflage look. I wore them around the house for a couple of months and recently decided to wear them in public. I totally love these pants and love the soft cotton comfort against my legs. Now I am brave enough to buy new ones with different patterns. Most guys wear the cartoon character pattern.
How about you my fellow Ledgies? Do you wear pajama bottoms in public? What type of pattern is yours? Do you have a photo of yourself wearing any that you'd like to post? |
this happens alot at my school (which most times we get sent home for) it started a while ago so its not completely new. i havent done it yet but one day i will get a pic of me in my "my name is earl" jama bottoms =]... ive noticed that guys tend to wear them in public more than girls...at my school the girls are usually sent home because some of them just dont know how to dress appropriately even if all they have to do is simply rock a pair of pajama bottoms but noooooo they have to do something skanky like they always do (not all the girls just a handful)
Most people only do it when they are having a lazy day and they really dont feel like putting on clothes... i guess they are a substitute for just coming in sweats. |

and yea the vibes i just felt like some centripetal force was pulling me to the ledge and i saw this and my eyes got wide O.O |
I snicker at the losers (over the age of 12- teens get no exemption) who wear pajama pants to the airport for a morning flight. So lame and childish.

Never. Only around the house will I wear some pj lounge pants. They're navy blue and feel so good when it's cold out like this time of year here in Ohio.
|
I don't even wear PJs in private, much less in public! I just don't do the whole intermediate clothing. Either I'm dressed, or I'm not.
|
The thread title reminded me of the cougar mom's who wear the fuzzy athletic track suits... matching tops and bottoms (usually baby pink or blue). Awful.

I work at a call center where the dress code is just be dressed. Heh. There is this girl who wears those character pj pants everyday to work. I could maybe see once in a blue moon if you had nothing going on at work, but everyday?
I don't do the character pj pants by sometimes I'll wear adidas pants or something like that out. I'm not sure there is much of a difference but I would like to think so. ;) |
to walmart?, sure, it's walmart~ but no where else would i wear them out in public~ i wear them alot doing my home daycare~ they are comfy & i don't care if something gets on them~
|
Nope. I never wore them to class in college, either, which everybody seemed to be doing. I don't like wearing any type of lounge outfit out, really. My mom was strict about my being "dressed-up" all the time, and I guess it stuck!
|
I used to wear them to school in junior high, but after that I haven't really worn them in public.
except for one time, I wore them on a late night grocery run. it was the day before Thanksgiving and we needed something urgently. when I see people in them now its like, was it just too much trouble to put a pair of jeans on? |
I don't even wear pajamas at home.
|
I wear 'em...
outside the house ONLY when I am either checking my mailbox or emptying the trash in the morning.

I'm a bit overweight and sometimes I can't fit into my jeans. Well despite what you all say I'm gonna keep on wearing them in public. I have always marched to the beat of a different drummer. I guess when you see Stevie or Lindsey wearing them you'll all be running thru the garden to buy them.:]:p |
DO you spell it pajamas out there then??

If it is 2AM and I need to run to the grocery store, I'll stay in whatever I was wearing at home... I only own like, one pair of pajama pants, though, so this isn't a really frequent thing. |
i've never actually done the pajama (pyjamas?) bottoms in public thing and i dont plan on doing it anytime soon because i never get that lazy and if i do i just wear sweat pants even tho i run the risk of getting "panced" (or however the hell u spell it) by my friends (shorts come in handy lol)..i only own one part of pajama bottoms tho and ive never worn them in public..i also have one of those one-sy thingys that my mother bought my sister and i which only babies where and it makes u look kinda like a bunny rabbit..i draw the line at wearing one of those in public :distress:

I never wear pajamas to class, and I really don't like the days when I wake up too late to throw on anything but a hoodie and jeans. It's harder to focus and harder to be taken seriously when you're not dressed as if you care. |

You know what? I was getting a tattoo. I didn't need to look good, but instead find the comfort to survive the pain. ... That's my story and I'm sticking to it. |
The thought of wearing pyjamas in public is weird. The closest I get to doing it is sitting in the car while my mam runs to the shop. I'd rather just wear clothes; that's why I own them. I think wearing pyjamas in public looks common, sorry.

of course, nothing is really "in style" in the midwest :o we always seem to be at least a year behind in fashion. Some people around here are still stuck in 1983. Anyway, they were so popular at my junior high school the principal had to ban them because he said they were a "distraction to education". He was a douche. |
