Love them...especially the last one of Stevie. I love the pic of Lindsey too...well any picture of him with his hair like that. I love it. It would have been a sad, sad day for me if I'd been there when he cut it off. :nod:

That day would have been one of celebration for me. In fact, if anyone can tell me the exact date, I'll make it a holiday in my own life right now. I just can't see any of his facial features with that hair. Lindsey? Richard? Who can tell the difference with all of that going on. I'm relieved he stopped hiding that light under a bushel:laugh:. Different strokes. lol! Stevie Nicks said on a talk show recently that he was his most beautiful with that fro and beard. My one friend who can't be bothered with LB told me he was "stunning" during that time...:shrug:

I'm more apt to agree with you. My insane appreciation for Lindsey's looks begins with Tusk, though I still say he was gorgeous prior.

hahaha...I understand what you're saying. I've never cared for men with a lot of hair...but for some reason that rule doesn't apply to Lindsey. I don't know why that is. All I know is, I'd love to know what it felt like to run my fingers through it :p

He was at his hottest during Tusk, for sure. The entire dark, tormented soul thing really came out when he was the only guy around without a fro and beard.

These are great! They didn't had many outdoor shows in '77.

I remember meeting the whole band whilst in Brisbane on their Tusk tour, I did not recognize LB with his short hair, I thought at the time whoever is that guy he is sooo hot, although I tried to keep the conversation going with stevie as long as possible, a day I will NEVER forget!!

The venue was "Western Springs" in Auckland, it was sometime in November, 1977, Stadium show, 40,000 people... Afternoon show.

You're right!! I knew that I had seen her on both Jimmy Fallon and the Chris Isaak show and didn't remember her saying anything about Lindsey's hair but I just found it. I can't believe I forgot that.

I think Michelle meant the day he cut off the fro and facial hair, which would be spring of '78 sometime I would think.

You're right. That's what I meant. I will celebrate that date for ever more. Also, if Carol is telling the truth about subtly convincing Lindsey to go all the way and get rid of the facial hair too, after he cut the scalp hair himself, then I guess I owe her a debt as well.

But thank you Peter. I wanted to make sure I got the date for the pictures right too. You know what a mess the concert information is. I would have made a mistake.

Those insanely poor-quality pictures Carol Ann has in that book of hers of Lindsey with the cropped hair and facial hair are hot to me. He reminds me of a dark-haired (young) Don Johnson- think early Miami Vice, when he'd do the scruff and the Ray Bans and look really hard ass. Lindsey had that same look (or he could have just been stoned), and it was really sexy. The thing that brings out his beauty with the Tusk hair is the fact you can see his eyes. Honestly, no matter how old and gray he gets no one can deny the singular allure of his eyes. They're so blue and deep.:xoxo:

That's true. And I never got to see Lindsey in concert before his hair cut, so I can't really compare firsthand. So many of the early photos of him are in black and white, so it's hard for his eyes to redeem his look in those for me. They aren't a focal point in black and white photos, the way they surely were in person. If I'd been able to see them standing out so brightly, maybe the flea-ridden big hair wouldn't have detracted.
