Have a great time at the show, and thanks for sharing your photo. I always enjoy seeing candid pics of the band, esp. Lindsey. I'm not a Kristen hater, but doesn't she look a bit ridiculous?

But after all she IS legendary interior designer Kristen Buckingham, so she must keep a low public profile in order to thwart the paparazzi.

Have a great show, Wayner! :wavey:

OMG! How absurd is that! She's totally dressed up like a '60s movie spy! hahaha

BTFLCHLD 10-14-2009 11:56 AM

hmmm...sporting tell-tale signs of facework :sorry:

Erin 10-14-2009 12:10 PM

My co-worker thought it was Stevie, so I know understand the Swedish fans confusion.

Neither of them look too happy to have been spotted. I like how they are staying at a Hilton (I've been watching too much Mad Men).

Oh, that's a beautiful picture. And not a bad embrace for 10 years of marriage. Way to go.

Okay... I can't be the only one thinking that this hotel looks a bit, um... chintzy, especially by FM standards. The Plaza it ain't. But upon doing a quick online search, it appears that, indeed, this Hilton is by far the most expensive hotel in Antwerp. What does this say about Antwerp? I've never been there... and I'm sure it's a lovely place... but...

We can asure you that it's a great Belgium city, famous for the diamond bussines and old buildings. With real french fries on the market with mayo ( no ketchup, J Travolta mentioned that in Pulp Fiction).

And tomorrow Rotterdam, sooooo exited.

Great pic BTW,

Will

That's a gorgeous photo. Lindsey's progression into the ultimate silver fox is much to my liking. Congratulations on running into them :)

I don't think Kristen appreciates his DILF-status.

Oh, goodness that's not something I've heard applied to men. Pretty funny. I'm sure Kristen is proud. After all, you don't want everyone thinking you're married to an old man, do you? It's a personal compliment to have someone that other's covet.

On the other hand, she did give us the unflattering GOS album photo for some reason. So, maybe she is trying to keep all the eye candy to herself:laugh:.

Not at all. I love the hat and shades. She looks bitchy, but in a good way as weird as that sounds. And LB looks like a hardass holding on to his woman. It's quite cute.

I'm sure it's also a personal relief. It's got to take more than ten years of marriage for the thrill to wear off when your husband looks like that.

I think the way you react to her outfit stems from the way you interpret it. If the black ensemble, big hat, and sunglasses are a style choice, it's one I rather like. It's dramatic, and she looks damn good. On the other hand, if the whole thing is an attempt to ward off the paparazzi, she's self deluded (but...at least she still looks good.)

WelshWitchPMD 10-14-2009 04:46 PM

"look it's MADONNA!" is all I have to say.

Well, I don't know. When your husband likes to cuddle up at night and talk to you for 70 minutes about how you are compartmentalizing your feelings, the thrill might wear off in just a few months. But maybe she goes to bed dressed like a guitar and that gets his mind off of it.

You know, Stevie's comments around those lines always surprised me. Here I was thinking there might be one upshot to Lindsey's love affair with spontaneity.

I'm sure the fact he is so good looking overrides the fact that most of the time he spouts pretentious crap about cycles, paintings and "being in a good place".

You know when a really beautiful man gets a girlfriend and you think 'God, he can do so much better?' This is how I feel about Lindsey and Kristen. Except he married her. Don't get me wrong, she could be like Snow White and chirp love songs to birds every morning, but stories I've heard about her tell a very different story.

You know after this tour Lindsey's never going to be seen again, and all we'll see is Kristen with a sinister smile on her face...

ROFLOL!!! What a get-up!! Is that a wig?? I really almost didn't recognize her. No wonder everyone mistook her for Stevie.

(She must be digging this outfit since she's worn it for days...or maybe they lost her luggage...)

Kristen, um Stevie called - she wants her cloak and dagger outfit back. K? Thanks.

I'm yet to see a picture of these two where they actually look comfortable together. Maybe Kristen already slipped Lindsey his cyanide that morning.

You know, I was actually just making fun of Lindsey with the "bittersweet" comment, but I understand what you mean. I've heard a mixed bag of stories with regards to Kristen. Usually, I try to give her the benefit of the doubt, though, because it can't be easy to have a husband in a world famous rock band, and I don't find it that hard to imagine that the fans she was (allegedly) rude towards could have spent most of the concert in question talking about how strange it is that Lindsey didn't get back together with Stevie after all this time.

I do think she's an awful designer, though

Lindsey looks really hip, even more than her because he has that confidence stance and I won't deny she looks a tad self-conscious. I'm loving the way his outfit looks here and it's nothing spectacular but the man consistently rocks the exact same color-comb/denim outfit on stage so much that he could come out in a pink bunny suit and I'd start a new fan club. Whenever he's more or less spontaneous and candid I prefer him SO MUCH MORE than the over-rehearsed, over-pretentious stuff he likes to dish out.

(All my posts are so fashion-related, lol!)

I've no doubt about it, there's going to be some fans who do mention Stevie all of the time. And of course, if someone constantly mentions your partner's ex (or exes) in front of you, it's bound to wear a little thin after a while. At the same time though, for as many tactless people as there are, there's probably many who just want to chat with her and be polite. This is when I find it uncalled for. Plus, surely it's common sense that you'd put on a calm, endearing front for the sake of your husband regardless of how much fans were pissing you off?

100% agree here, fugly to the core, absolutely. Maybe she should stick with whatever she did pre-photography and designing. ;)

OldTimer 10-14-2009 06:42 PM

While everyone else is zeroed in on Mr & Mrs B, I'm fascinated by the peripherals in this pic:

1) Have they just left the 'Noodle Bar'? :D

2)The guy at the far left looks like he's just lost a fight and desperately needs a medic. Maybe he said something uncharitable about Mrs. B, and Mr B took offense.

3) The elderly lady at the right has really good legs for an oldtimer. ;)

4) And most importantly, if I squeeze my eyes just so, that blonde sitting at the cafe table with arms and legs folded could actually be STEVIE spying on Mr & Mrs B, wonderfully incognito in her Nikes and jeans (because Kristen stole her clothes).

All right, I'll go now. :p

Yeah, that layered shirt thing is working for him. The blue underneath the black. Stevie could totally write a song about that! Michele

He's just a little uptight because he knew fans wouldn't understand her hat. That's why his clutch is so protective and shielding.
