Say You Will Bonus Tracks

Hey all. I've been trying to find the two bonus studio tracks in stores or online, but can't find them. Would anyone be kind enough to upload Love Minus Zero and Not Make Believe. Thanks.

And they are beautiful. Those two would be my ideal 21st century Fleetwood Mac sound.

Sorry Matty, we don't post commercially available material on the board out of respect for the band. But welcome to the board!

I love them too. I can understand why they didn't include Love Minus Zero, seeing as it was a cover, but Not Make Believe should have definitely made the album.

The double-album that never was. . . sigh

Anyway, they really should release these two tracks as a Single on iTunes. Why oh why doesn't this band paint a vulgar picture?

That they are!

Street_Dreamer 09-30-2009 04:19 PM

I haven't listened to either song in several years... thanks for reminding me!

Matt

How on EARTH did I not know these existed?!!?!?!?

Musicman408 10-01-2009 06:45 AM

I have a demo of NMB, and I don't really have a full version of the Lindsey song! That being said- they are really stellar songs!!!

MattyB 10-02-2009 04:05 PM

Well thanks...I already own two Say You Will Cds and would rather not buy another 20+ dollar cd for two tracks. Guess I'll check download sites. Thanks...

There are 2 more tracks on the bonus CD. Live versions of Peacekeeper, and Say You Will.

But in the first post you said you had been looking for them in stores or online. Surely you would have had to pay for the CD if you had actually found them instore?

Say You Will WAS basically a double album. It's the same length as Tusk. If you add NMB and LMZ its longer.

It feels like it's twice as long when I listen to SYW... Tusk goes by like a breeze... but Tusk is amazing... it's more of a concept, it has direction, the vocals are incredible, and SYW... well... it's just long....

Always liked "Love Minus Zero". Think it's a great cover. Lindsey really did a fantastic job on this one. Actually prefer the "live" versions of "Say You Will" and "Peacekeeper" to the studio versions. They just sound "looser" to me, more free. I would agree with others as well that "Not Make Believe" should have been on the album.

What?! Did Dave Walker cover that song at some point and do a better job than Lindsey in your opinion??!!:lol::lol:

It's a great cover. Not necessarily a great FM song, but I think Lindsey, Mick and John did a great job on it.

TrueFaith77 10-05-2009 06:20 AM

...and it's f'ing beautiful. It's just about my favorite piece of music production this decade.

Sorry I'm a Dylan purist...

TrueFaith77 10-05-2009 08:45 AM

So if you are a Dylan purist, does that mean ONLY Dylan is allowed to do Dylan songs -- always, under all circumstances?

No it just means that no-one will ever do a Dylan song well when they cover it

Not even that Hendrix guy...

I still listen to "Not Make Believe" from time to time. I actually sang it a cappella at a karaoke event one night.

Seriously? Jimi's version of All Along The Watchtower is pretty incredible. What about The Byrds or The Band? I think you should probably stay away from the I'm Not There soundtrack then. I think all the covers are fantastic but it would probably be like nails down a blackboard to you

Even Bryan Ferry?!

Have you listened to Dylanesque?

Actually to be fair he does an ok job on Make You Feel My Love...

Well Jimi did an ok cover of the song, but it pales in comparison to Dylan's original. Although Dylan does like the way Jimi did it...

It would have been better if Dylan had sang and Jimi had played guitar, now that would have been an incredible version.

The other half decent cover was Eddie Vedder doing Masters of War, although once again it pales in comparison to the original...

That is, perhaps, my favorite track.

But, yes, I've listened to Dylanesque. It's not as great as a great Bryan Ferry album (Frantic, The Bride Stripped Bare), but I would argue that it is possibly the most beautifully produced album I've ever heard.
