Old picture , "new" interview
This was printed a week ago in the Melbourne Herald Sunday magazine.
Scan can be found here: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AGPrjH5BwH...bourne,+AU.jpg At least it's something to look at on your lazy Sunday afternoon :) |

Still, it's Stevie, it's a cute interview, and I love the last paragraph. I do think she has a subtle and underrated sense of humor. |
Thank you for posting!!!

Who thinks she a big country singer??
The idea of the 4 of them looking at each other and then deciding to make the decision to take all of their things to Australia is interesting. I'd like to see the 4 of them all looking at each other. She is indeed a comic. Thank you for posting. Michele |
so she feels she is as creative now as she was when she was in her 20s ..okkkayy Stevie .
|
I like how coke it "cheap".

I think Columbia was thankful when Fleetwood Mac stopped doing coke, actually!

I doubt that most regular folks were doing AS much coke as FM...lol
The last sentence is the best of the whole article. :) |
Thanks for sharing!

HAHAHAHA--Stevie, our very own little comedian. It's always funny because when she speaks, she is dead serious, haha.

Perhaps everyone thought it during her big hair days. Michele |

Best Stevie quote of 2009: "Everything I'm saying now is complete crap.":laugh: |
It's interesting, she's still saying the same old crap in these interviews, but it seems she gets a little bit ornerier in tone the older she gets. She used to never curse, and everything she used to say was veiled in softness. But she's unapologetic these days... I like that. This is what I am. Like it or don't like it, take it or leave it. I made it all this way, I don't really give a crap what anyone else thinks. The days of her endlessly explaining herself and almost apologizing for her kookiness seems to be long over. Now she just needs to use some of that decisiveness to get her ass into the studio and record some new work! With or without the Mac! I want the New Orleans song damnit!! :D

This was a good interview. I had heard most of it before (as usual), but good still. Sometimes I wish these interviewers would ask some new questions...I mean, we all know Stevie was on coke, and got off of it...it's old news, and it certainly does not define her as a person...why don't they ask something like..."Can you sing us a little riff of a new song you're writing?".....lol...a girl can dream!
|
This doesn't sound like a new interview as much as it sounds like a bunch of random quotes strung together in stream-of-conscious twitter style. If it sounds like she's regurgitating the same rhetoric again, it's because someone else is doing the regurgitating for her!

Well, I guess I'm the only one who can't see this? All I get is a red x when I click on that link. Help?
|
Am I the only one where the link doesnt work?!?!
|
Hmm I don't know what's up with the link.

Stevie did not sit there and talk uninterrupted for an hour (what a good read that would be). They took quotes and leftover passages from other interviews and combined them. But I hadn't seen some of the comments before. So, I guess it's new to me. Speaking of interview styles, sometimes the celebrities interview each other. Sandra did it to Stevie and Stevie has done it to someone else, but what I would like is for people in FM to do it to each other. That would be so much fun, Mick interviewing Stevie, John interviewing Lindsey. Any combo would work. At least I think we could trust them not to ask each other what it was like making Rumours after all their relationships fell apart. Michele |

I was posting it for both of you guys :) |

Btw, sometimes what we read are simply works of the PR department and not the actual artist at all. So, I take them with a grain of salt. |

but come on, she's talking crap if she was really being creative...why are we seeing NO evidence of her endeavours? |

she could start her own she could release songs purely on itunes etc...[i know she would be mortified ] but there's tons of things she could do to share off her fabulousness she doesnt need a new album. that's not what i was talking about if she's writing a book...children's books...this art show...all this multitasking she's doing i'd just like to see SOMETHING as proof, u know? :p |
