Mirror Mirror Demo from Street Angel? ? ?
I've read around here that there was a demo of Mirror Mirror from the Street Angel sessions, but I've never come across it.
Does it exist, and does anyone have it...? Would you pretty please post it?:nod: |
I have two versions, but I have no date estimate on them. :/

I think I am referring to the b-side.
But I don't think I have it. |

Mirror Mirror was a b-side from the Blue Denim CASSETTE. Thousand Days is a bonus track on the Blue Denim CDSINGLE. I'm currently going through my Cdr collection and hope I will find the two different versions of Mirror Mirror and will then post it |
Here's one I just found but don't know which version this is..

Here are two different Mirror Mirror versions from the Rock A Little era....

There are about half a dozen Mirror, Mirrors floating around. I was under the impression they were all laid down for the Mirror, Mirror album (which of course became RAL).
I'd be suprised if someone can authenticate a SA era MM |

I think the 'b' side to the cassette to Blue Denim is actually one of the RAL mixes. As far as I know there isn't a recorded SA version. They just used a RAL version. Though I think many of the versions we have don't have the missing lyrics at the end. Its an odd mix they used cause I like the ones with the lyrics at the end. It seems like it ends kinda flat. I love MM the song......I wished it had been on Enchanted with the full ending lyrics.....another missed opportunity really.....sad but true.....IMO anyway........:nod:

Stevie was already talking about the RAL title during The Wild Heart press. After RAL she was gonna name the NEXT record Mirror Mirror but instead called it TOSOTM because she was not happy with the way MM came out. Now can I have some M&M's please? |

I know it’s confusing but actually, the story behind Stevie wanting to name one of her albums Mirror Mirror kind of goes like this. Stevie did in fact say during a Rock a Little interview that she had the title of Rock A Little in her head before Bella Donna even came out. I took that to mean that she simply had this idea to name an album or song Rock A Little. However, in 1989 during an OSOTM interview she did say that the Other Side of the Mirror was going to be called “Mirror Mirror,” then she quickly said, ‘it was also going to be name of Rock a Little.” So again, I took that to mean that at some point she wanted to name RAL Mirror Mirror but when that didn’t pan out she was going to use it for the next record, which in fact became OSOTM. So at least a couple of times she had the idea in mind, it wasn't just for one record only. |
