Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting it!! It was very well done. Stevie is always so sweet and genuine in these interviews.

The piece that was broadcast has footage of them arriving in NZ all those years ago, plus it's kinda funny for the comments made by the presenter about how her face doesn't move

Thank you for sharing! That totally made my Monday morning (except for it's actually Tuesday, but whatev).
Sure it's the same ol' same ol', but who cares?! It's still exciting to see a new video :) Stevie looks really refreshed! |

Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed that interview. I learned some new things in there that I've never heard her share before. I was cracking up because I've been a waiter and I clean for a living and she called those both "dumb ass jobs." So me and Stevie have a lot in common, though I don't consider those dumb ass jobs. Just hard working ones. Thank you for finding and posting this interview! |
Stevie looked absolutely stunning there! It was nice to see her wearing something a bit different to the usual black tops. Great interview too, thanks so much for sharing.
On a side note, has the presenter ever seen any of Stevie's old interviews? She always looks like she's fell from the sky and got a shock. |

Thanks go to you too Sharon for finding the interview in this part. Again I loved this interview! Do you think Stevie wants us to notice the recording equipment set up to the right of the piano in her hotel room? The studio microphone over the piano. The painting of the dragon and heart called "stop draggin' my heart around?" For you newbies I thought you should know that that painting was displayed in the Bella Donna piano music book. Maybe she was inspired by Tom Petty in her current song that day? P.S. How sad for us when Stevie tells him she has boxes of music we will never hear because the songs are great but not great enough to sing on stage. |
Thanks for this. Next thing Stevie will be claiming she's going to New Zealand to writer her Birds of Rhiannon opera.
Typically, I don't think places in California even have basements. I know there's been discussion about a deal that BN may have had when they joined FM (Dee). I think Stevie alludes to this. Well, it's not laid out as a deal, but rather an alternate/escape plan. We can make money and then go do our own thing, if it doesn't work out. Mick gets panic attacks and Christine would be paralyzed with stage fright. She's cranking on to be honest?? I guess that's funny. It's just that it looked like a straight, conservative news show, rather than a humorous one. He didn't look like a jokester. So, it was a bit of a shock to have that coming from that particular anchor, not knowing his background. People were getting into dirty, eel-filled water to get close to her? No, she brought out the super duper Edge Walk gloves for that one! Michele |

I actually think this interview was done at her house... behind the interviewer, the fireplace looks exactly like the fire place that was the backdrop behind Stevie during the Eye to Eye Sunday Morning interview from a few years ago on CBS. Not that it matters, just an observation. |
It's not working for me.... I get to the site but the video doesn't load or something.
|
Correction, I changed it to Windows and it worked. Like her outfit, also I agree with the guys who say it's kind of monotonous to just hear about all the bad stuff that happened. I agree I would like to hear about happier stuff.
|
Blah blah blah, same old crap. I can't imagine how Stevie isn't SICK of reciting these formulaic responses! I hate more than anything, that she didn't weave any of her answers into what the band is doing NOW, and the direction it's HEADING IN. It seems like she's just given in to the fact that the band has become an oldies tribute act. :(

what an ugly peek into her pathetic, bloated ego. |

You are correct. This was taped in her home... Donnie Wayne ~ |

What about her Gemini-speak in the same interview... "I think they know me pretty well because I've been very very honest since the very beginning of who I am and the things that I loved..." "As much as you guys all think you know about us you don't know anything about us. If the story was really to be told there's so much that we have been discreet about." Love it! Oh, and so the date of her beginning with Lindsey has now officially been pushed back to 1969 instead of 1971. With all the Los Gatos talk and the summer of love on the current tour and this interview where she admits they had lived together 5 years prior to joining FM... just sayin'. Love that BN history! |

I did really laugh about her being horrified at the fans that waded through the "eel" water to get to her stage in New Zealand. You know Stevie would never get in eel water for anyone!!! A |

Would she know or care if members of Fritz were in the audience? ;)

No, I don't think she would care. I was just speculating, because I'm puzzled and raised the query in response to CADreaming's comment. Lindsey and Stevie were both young, single people. If they became romantically involved while they were still with Fritz, why did they lie about it for 30 years? What motive did they have? Other than Fritz, who would have cared? I mean, even as late as the SYW tour, both of them were saying, "but nothing ever happened." Meanwhile, Javier told us that everyone knew they were a couple in Fritz, because they sided with each other on all band issues (which is probably the last time that ever happened). I see no reason why they would care about their Fritz bandmates' feelings after all these years, but if they had a pact not to tell the truth about the start of their relationship, that can be the only reason I can think of that would cause them to do so. Hmmm....maybe that's part of the "discreet" stuff Ms. Nicks alluded to... |

But now with three of the four parents dead, maybe they figure no one's around to care anymore. |

Stevie did mention that her parents weren't happy that she and Lindsey were living together. She said it was bad enough that she was moving to Los Angeles, but to go there and live with a guy . . . they thought it was tantamount to joining the circus. Then, she later said that to them, it was as if Lindsey and she were married, indicating that they got used to it. She also said something about Lindsey never having lived away from his parents when they first moved in together. This suggested to me that she did have an apartment of her own with a roommate or something and that Lindsey had never been on his own. Actually, it's strange because she talks about going and sleeping in his parents' living room when he had mono and also going to spend the night with him at the coffee plant. You know if 2 kids that age are around each other in the wee hours of the night that they're doing more than music, so it's hard for me to imagine their parents being that appalled by the fact that they were romantically involved. But maybe they were telling their parents that they were "just friends" and that's how they got permission to hang out with each other like they did. In much the same way that Jack Tripper told Mr. Furley that he was gay, because that's the only way that he would let him share an apartment with two attractive girls! Now that I think about it, it's been since Stevie's father has died that she is suggesting that they got together earlier, so maybe that had something to do with it. 'Tis strange. Michele |

So, they waited until after their star had fallen and they were no longer in the public eye to slip and get married, when it wouldn't create a stir. In fact, they didn't get married until after Chastity was born in March 1969. So, they perpetuated that lie for P.R. reasons. Michele |

How often is that done in the "eyes of the world" (pardon the pun) and the general public remains blissfully unaware? Love the Sonny & Cher example! |
