New Tusk tour rehearsals - Youtube

Not trying to toot my own horn here, but I've posted a bunch of footage from the second day of the Tusk tour rehearsals.
I know that a bunch of videos are already up on Youtube that are Tusk tour rehearsals, but the ones I'm posting are from a different day and they're a little better picture quality.
Some of the close-ups are really good.

I've got a bunch on my channel if you're interested -- and more coming -- but to start you off, here's The Chain:

:)

You're welcome
Right-o, that's the setlist.

I've got all the video from Oct. 19th, I'm just working on finishing uploading them! I need to create a playlist so they're in the correct order.

It's always quite nice to see video from back when the band was actually good.

Tasty stuff.

LikeAWillow 08-09-2009 03:14 PM

I haven't watched that footage in such a long time; thanks for bringing it back into my mind :)

And my oh my does that Lindsey Buckingham fellow look good in blue.

starshine 08-09-2009 03:19 PM

Yeah, I have to agree thats a great video esp for Tusk period. I don't think I've ever seen Stevie wearing that kind of flower cape before? Has anyone else? Any pics?? Thanks for the video....can't wait for others.....Yeah they were great back than too....:D

FMlex 08-09-2009 03:52 PM

Glad you guys are enjoying them :)

I'm planning on putting up tons of FM/Stevie stuff (I try not to duplicate what's already up on Youtube unless I happen to have better sound/picture quality) in the next couple of weeks so keep checking back!

Fellow? I thought Lindsey was the girl. :(

Is this the one where Stevie goes "Weeelll... NOT THAT FUNNY IS IT?", when the lights go out during Rhiannon?

Lala 08-09-2009 04:47 PM

What an awesome reminder of what an awesome song that is. New (to me) versions are always exciting...something different with the solo or whatever.

Lindsey looks fab in blue. And those jeans could not possibly be any tighter...and I'm fine with it :D

FMlex...let us know when you have your playlist posted. Thanks for sharing! :wavey:

Nah, but the girl's pretty hot for a witch, too.

daniellaaarisen 08-09-2009 06:28 PM

I love watching John and Lindsey totally jam together.

You can find all the videos here:
http://www.youtube.com/musicforthesoul08

However, if you want to wait awhile, I'm trying to finish downloading them all and then I'm going to make a playlist (and put them in the correct order of the setlist) so that whoever wants to watch it all can do so!

Don't worry, I'll wait. Thank you!

You are too good to us! Thank you for pulling this together!

It's really puzzeling why even though they were rehearsed, 'I Know I'm Not Wrong' and 'The Ledge' were never made it into the set list -- not even one appearance. That honor went to 'That's Enough For Me,' which was performed only at a Holland show.

'The Ledge' performed with Christine up front playing guitar??!! How cool that would have been!

FMlex 08-09-2009 08:25 PM

Playlist!

Okay, here's the link directly to the playlist I created (if that doesn't work, then just go to youtube.com/musicforthesoul08 and it should be there!):

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_lis...34DE967BC33558

There's two songs missing... "Not That Funny" (because I couldn't stomach to put it in... JK, JK! But the source I have it got cut out) and "Oh Daddy" but besides that, it's a pretty cool little "concert" with some good close-ups that the previous videos on Youtube didn't have.

daniellaaarisen 08-09-2009 08:44 PM

Ahhh I love few things more than watching live Tusk-era "Angel" videos.... sigh.

And in England too, I think.

They also rehearsed THAT'S ALL FOR EVERYONE, HONEY HI, & BROWN EYES, but a concert recording from '79/'80 with any of those has yet to surface.

FMlex,
Thanks for posting these. I had been trying to download this rehearsal since it was the only one with multiple camera angles but was having problems. I was able to copy them from YouTube from your link so now I have them. Many many thanks.

Yeah it is all one day (night?) of rehearsals. And yes I have it I just wanted to check in my first post to see if it was the same thing as the video that the OP so kindly posted. :)

The band has done this a lot of times - that is what rehersals are for. See what they want to play, see what they don't want to play. Remember the songs we saw on the Destiny Rules doc? I can't remember any one song now but there were quite a few up on that board during rehersals that never made it to the SYW tour.

They did Sunny Side of Heaven for Rumours tour rehersals, but nothing ever came of that.

There are songs from every tour that they practiced doing, but not everything sould be expected to make the cut.

Stevie Nicks.... I love you.

blemelin 08-18-2009 08:55 AM

How does one download or copy videos from YouTube? I have never been able to successfully manage that. ;-(

Any advice or instructions would be most appreciated. Thank you, in advance, for any help provided.

tr1 08-18-2009 11:46 AM

Blemelin,
Go to file2hd.com and download them there. You need to check movies and the box that says you agree. And paste the URL of the video you want to copy. Once it finds that URL it will give you 2 choices to click on to download. Click on the HD mp4 one and save it to your computer. The quality is actually quite good.
