4 - 1981
5 - 1979

I think the last one is from '78 or '79.

I believe the 2nd is 1981. I'd say the fourth pic is 77-78. And that last one is tottaly Tusk era - 79 or 80.

Um...what is the story behind this pic? Was this some sort of joke picture at Mick's wedding to Sara Recor? Also...who's children are those...they look too young to be Mick's, and too old to be John's. Anybody got the low down??

The "wedding" pic was a tongue-and-cheek picture taken around 1992-1994. I forget the details, but somebody came up with the idea that Mick and John were like this old, married couple that was able to keep the band together for all those years and ran the idea by Mick and John. Mick, of course, jumped at the idea of getting in a wedding dress.

Christine with the cello looks like it's pre-BN days, like, 1973?

I didn't know Christine played the cello. Good grief, but that woman is talented.

Then again ... anyone can POSE with a cello. Did she ever play cello on a recording?

I don't think that one of Stevie wearing the Top hat is from WH period....its gotta be a 70's period pic....at least to me....maybe early Rumours? like 76? or early 77? ....the Mask pic was the cover of a magazine called Pulse in like '90 I think...its an outtake from the Mask photo sessions I think.....the first one does look like a live Buck/Nicks photo....Not sure about the John boat pic or the Christine one....? :shrug:

Viv - you should have said that you have changed the pics. Now all of our years don't match up with these new pictures.

Anyway, I agree with sanne on all her years for this new batch.

I disagree. Look at her hips... they tell the story. Stevie wasn't even 100 pounds during the Tusk era. Wild Heart is when she started to put on some weight. Stevie's broader hips and thicker waist prove this photo is likely from around '83.

That's a nice one. I had not seen it before. But her hair looks more modern. That's the only thing that would make me think it was after 1975.

Uh, I don't know if she was ever that underweight. If Stevie made it below 100lbs, even though she's short, it would show. I never thought she looked too skinny during the Tusk era.

Now, Tusk-era Lindsey... that's another story. :shocked:

Stevie has said herself that she weighed 95 pounds during that era. That's what inspired her to write Sisters of the Moon, when she walked past a mirror and didn't recognize the thin, frail girl in the mirror. She definitely looked very gaunt to me during that time.

But I wonder, was she exaggerating? Like when you say "oh, I ate 589028 bags of chips"...

I'm just over 90lbs, but I'm not as tall as Stevie (4'8 in the house, holla :o ), so it doesn't make me look skeletal. Generally on anyone taller than I am, even at Stevie's petite 5'3, I associate that weight with someone who looks like Lindsay Lohan or Courtney Love as of late. :shrug:

That's by Neal Preston. Corbis lists it as August 25, 1981.

Looks like Bobby Martin on keys behind Stevie, so I'd agree with Moz that it's the 86 tour.

Backstage at the Hollywood Bowl, perhaps before but probably after. There are a bunch of shots of Stevie in her danskin holding her glasses, with Bonnie Raitt & other celebrity guests. 1980.

Two questions: Who is Greg Thomason?
What other celebrity guests were backstage besides Bonnie Raitt and how 'bout posting some of those pictures.

It's extremely bizarre to remove photos from the host server immediately after something is dated. It leaves a multi-page thread filled with blank boxes & dates underneath them. This thread will have absolutely no archival or entertainment value to Ledge readers in the future.
