Hi, everybody--

Okay, so I was wondering what Stevie song ringtones you have and what part of the song is your ringtone?

Right now I've got Angel -- "So I close my eyes softly til I become that part of the wind that we all long for sometime. And to those that I love like a ghost through a fog, like a charmed hour and a haunted song. And the angel of my dreams."
I let my phone ring forever so that I can listen to as much as possible.

Stupid Verizon has zero Stevie (and FM for that matter) on their little ringtone application on my cell phone so I just make my own online! :D

Phone calls...Gypsy

Text messages...opening piano riff from Sara

In case you didn't guess...there isn't a big market for the piano riff from Sara...the great thing about Blackberrys is that they don't block homemade ringtones :D

My freakin' phone is supposed to connect to my computer and let me upload as many self-made ringtones as possible.... too bad my HTC touch pro hates my laptop and it never works. :(

Luckily, I'm getting an iPhone soon. Anyone know if it works on them?

I have the complete songs as ringtones so thatnk you a lot Caitlin for posting this link so I can make them better and shorter! BTW, now I have mirror, mirror as ringtone :)

What site do you use? I haven't found any that have worked for Verizon :(

Try that link that Caitlin posted - I have Verizon and it worked for me!

You just upload a song on it, put the bars around what part of the song you want, then it will send you the ringtone as a picture message. You save the ringtone as a Sound (at least I have to on my old school RAZR lol) and then when you're messing with setting ringtones on your phone, you can choose the Stevie/FM ringtone for whatever you want!
Super easy.

but it is only for when my mom calls. I usually pick up before it hits "you see your Gypsy" haha

I totally cried during this song when we saw them in May...
I was very emotional that night lol.


then when anyone else calls me it is the bass line and breakdown of The Chain!

I used to have a crapton of Midis on the Nokia.

I now have an iPhone. and iTunes expects me to not only buy the song on there, but pay .99 for it. screw that.

I then downloaded an app, that claims it gives you free ringtones. the sound quality is horrible.

So I will now try that website that Caitlin posted. Thanks in advance-even if it doesnt work on the demon-iPhone :D

I have minimal complaints about the phone. but the ringtone situation is def. one. :/

I'm obsessed with this thing. The beginning of "dreams unwind" in the Nashville 1980 version of "Rhiannon" is my ringtone. YES.

I just got a BlackBerry Storm last month. The best thing about is being able to make any song in my music library into a ring tone. It does play the whole song however so I might try the site Caitlin posted. Anyway all of my so few contacts have a Fleetwood Mac song. Only one friend has Boom Boom Pow. I need to make more friends so I can create more ring tones.
I try to pick songs that don't fade in. I have Angel, Oh Daddy ( for Dad) Not That Funny, and I'm So Afraid for unknown callers. LOL

I went to Caitlin's link (thanks!) and downloaded two songs to my phone. They're there, but I have no idea how to change them from a Saved Sound to a ringtone. *SIGH* Maybe it will all seem clearer in the morning.

FINALLY WORKS! Ahhh someone needs to call me so I can drool over my ringtone.

Currently when you call me, my ringtone is Miranda, the chours. My text ringtone is Edge of Seveteen. The 'I went forward with an age old...' part. I love it!

Others I have saved are Come-live in boston, Dreams, Little Lies, Tusk 'real savage like' part, Steal Your Heart Away, and The Chain.

I really want "The Chain" and "Angel" to be my ringtones, but my current "Rhiannon" one is WAY too cool to ever take down.... ever.

Ooooh I just made one with the opening bars of "Candlebright". Genius. I still don't want to take "Rhiannon" down though... I just like making options :)

Oh and the first four notes of the Enchanted piano version of "Rhiannon" alerts me of a text message :)

If anyone has an iPhone there are some really useful videos on youtube about making your own ringtones, and not having to pay iTune's prices for one, and it's super ridiculously easy. You can turn any part of any song into a 30 second ring for free, and I don't think it'll effect your warranty or whatever. I have the chorus of That's Alright, and Angel, AND the music break in The Ledge because it's awesome. Now if anyone would actually call me, that would be great haha.

I was so pleased to see that it works for the iPhone.

My only complaint is that I have no idea how to do a text tone, but whatever. I now have RTTG as my ringtone [there are too many....(to) imprission you] its sooo pimp.

I also made CSNY 'Carry On' the ringtone for my mom/the house phone. :D

I make mine in ProTools and then Bluetooth them to my phone. (I call it my $500 ringtone maker since I don't do anything else with my rig anymore.)

I have it set-up so that I have different ringtones for different people or groups of people:

My friend Andrea has "Gold": "California girls are the greatest in the world... story is there for the taking"
My friend Lisa has "Blue Lamp": "Outside so the stars still laugh and Stars still laugh and shine... And the stars still laugh and shine and shine"
My Oklahoma friends have "Long Distance Winner": Part of the guitar solo and then part of the chorus to "Tie them to your heaven, erase their hell..."

I also have one for Everybody Finds Out (part of the chorus), Go Insane (part of the first verse), and Little Lies (chorus),
